All the experts that now thought he was a CB looking a bit stupid now , hes one of the main reason this team is piss poor every year.3 points

He was on when Ridvan puts forward and Danny doesn’t touch it3 points

Is it just the fans that can see how bad this guy is , because no matter how many goals he gives away hes the first name on the team sheet.2 points

When you think about it , has Kelly made any of the ridiculous attempts at saving that this guy makes every game ? People keep saying Kelly is no good either but I dont remember him making the gaffs this guy does.2 points

Largs, home of the SFA Coaching School? That Largs? Explains it. You were privy to great wisdom, which, to be fair, you have cherished.2 points

Bismarck did fine. United the team and won the Euro League though to be fair, not every country competed.2 points

Ferguson can do FO about the horrendous defending that some of our players present. Granted, our first choice defence has hardly been seen this season, but more often than not it is others who do the damage. That's twice in a week that Jefte has been caught out, and it resulted in goals. The lad is but 22 and methinks he's hardly played so many games in these circumstance in a season. But there comes a point when the manager has to take action. Play him further ahead and Ridvan behind him (for lack of options). And FFS punish anyone who does this suicidal side- and back-passing in our third while the opposition press the ball. Time and again, people get caught out. Said it before, Raskin and Diomande are a dysfunctional unit. They stay in the same areas, too narrow to each other and/or too far away from the defence. Likewise, neither is regularly covering the free spaces in front of the penalty area, where balls are often picked up by a spare defender. It was plain to see time and again this season. Hopefully we get Barron back soonish, albeit he's no Jack or Davis just yet either.1 point

Only the fan boys think this guy is a decent keeper, one of the worst I’ve seen in 65 years. There's a reason he’s not playing in EPL.1 point

The one touch passing does my nut in , look at the way all top teams play the game , one touch control then make the pass. None of this squad have the ability to play one touch football , most of them struggle to find a blue jersey.1 point

You mean super Jack, our saviour at Tynecastle? He’s not totally diabolical but he should have been sold at the end of last season when his reputation was intact. His career pattern is to start brilliantly and inexplicably fall away so there’s no coming back for him. Kelly no matter how bad should play for the rest of the season.1 point

Just went online to see the score. I am genuinely embarrassed to admit it but I feel so detached from our team at the moment. I haven't watched or listened to our last 5/6 games and apart from a snippet on the news I haven't even seen any of the goals (for and against). After nearly 40 odd years of obsessively following games in the flesh or on TV/radio, I'm done.1 point

You are not alone. I think Butland is one of the worst goalies to wear our colours. Truly rotten keeper.1 point

Agree but it does help when you have a bit of strength about you , this guy is easily blown off the ball and all positioning in the world is not going to help him when hes that weak.1 point

Sick of watching this team not show up until they have to chase a game. Absolutely no regards to any of those imposters1 point

You may try as you might, if the defence is as bad as ours right now, you are always up against it. Ridvan's touch is worse than mine, Hagi's nearly as bad. The midfield is utterly disfunctional once more, just a little pressure on them and the defence, and we look desperate. The truly bad thing is: a Davis would have seen this, dropped back and took control. Raskin and Diomande don't, we lose the most of the midfield and our frail defence does the rest. The script can easily be read, all opposition managers read it, we don't. Add to this that Diomande and Cerny hold to the ball too long ... and lose it eventually. All rather dire.1 point

It's not about bulk, it's about how you use you're body, position yourself, plant a foot, lean in. Many of the best defenders around aren't tanks.1 point

What a list of duds this is The 10 Highest-Scoring Defenders in Football History 1. Ronald Koeman 253 2. Daniel Passarella 175 3. Fernando Hierro 163 4. Laurent Blanc 153 5. Sergio Ramos 140 6. James Tavernier 1371 point

Tav has every right to be considered a Rangers legend. I cannot think of anyone - past or present - who has come anywhere near his goals and assist numbers. (Maybe Chris Lawler at Liverpool?) Remember he stuck with us through the dark days in the lower depths. Yes, he has his faults defensively and he's terrified of Maeda, but if he didn't have those flaws, he would be playing for Real Madrid.1 point
-
So as great players, they think Tav is a player and a leader, yet you don't, and we've to believe your assessment over theirs? This time with no respect, aye right, think I'll pass. Dud? https://footystats.org/players/england/james-tavernier Maybe the new custodians should stop their search for a new manager and give you a call..... 😁1 point

Again , the three guys you mention are all great players but absolutely useless as managers. Who said anything about one man , the squad has been brutal for years mainly down to the useless managers we have had , not just Tavernier , but he has been up there with the worst of them for years. I get it , some like him but I know a loser when I see one.1 point
-
No, and he's far from a dud. Again, with all due respect I'll listen to SG, Gio, BF and the likes who sing Tav's praises rather than the opinion of wee Shug the plumber. Also, when did football become a one man game?1 point
-
Haha are you related to the dud ? How many trophies did all these great managers win with Tavernier as their captain ? The guy has been a calamity from day one , the gaffs are off the scale with him , the filth love it when hes playing and target him every game , just like most teams do now. I used to go into the start of every season saying if we start Goldson and Tavernier we are winning nothing and thats almost exactly how it turned out every time. His fitness is the only thing thats a positive , the guy is a shocking defender. I also never understood why he was never tried for a few games in midfield.1 point
-
So Stephen Gerrard, one of the greatest midfield players / captains of his generation was wrong to make Tav captain and play him continually? So Gio, a European Cup winner, World Cup finalist and wonderful midfield player was wrong to make Tav captain and play him continually? So Barry Ferguson, best home-grown Rangers player for a generation (at least), decorated Captain is wrong to make Tav captain and play him? With all due respect, maybe Gio, SG and BF know what makes a Ranger and a Captain more than wee Boab the joiner? If we had more players with Tav's attitude, numbers, fitness etc in the last decade, maybe, just maybe "he" wouldn't have seen off 7 managers.1 point
-
Absolute madness anybody suggesting Tavernier at CB , hes one game away from his next disaster whether hes at FB or CB. Hes seen off 7 managers and whoever the new boss is he should get shot of him immediately.1 point
