  1. Much improvement still required but a win's a win. Good news is that may have been the last time we need to play on that pitch especially if Killie finish bottom 6. Also interesting to note Don Robertson was happy to give both players yellow cards for any handbags. Twice. It's just Calum McGregor that doesn't get booked for that it seems.

  2. Watching the highlights there Propper was being held and impeded at the corner we scored our second from, the irony being the Killie defender and Propper blocked Dessers' marker giving him a free header. Karma. I wasn't able to watch the match as I was working, only catching the last 15 minutes. I turned on my phone to read texts from my eldest and some friends that started off full of hope and anticipation, went to 'poor start' then to 'bloody hell this is awful' before transforming back into hopefulness and cries of 'Barry is going to turn Dessers into a star'. Really only football can provide that emotional response in less than 90 minutes. I know Nisala was hooked early and everyone was saying he'd a poor game but I didn't think he was at fault for either of their goals. Propper fell/got clipped depending what angle you watch for the first and Raskin hung him out to dry with a short return pass at the second. Whatever, the change clearly had the desired affect. Delighted we won, hopefully we'll not give the opposition a 2 goal start every game though. Here's a stat that might surprise you. Rangers have the best form in the league currently. We've lost 1 game out of our last 6, Celtic have lost and drawn games, Hibs have drawn 2 in 6. Surprised me as well.

  3. So I think what you are trying to say is that Jose is not going to know what's hit him?

  4. I have completely lost the ability to spot a foul. Last night there were several occaisions when Killie players had both arms wrapped around our players in their box, particularly Propper and Dessers. Then there is dragging our players back with one arm when they are making forward runs. This is something that I have been seeing all season long. I'm baffled . Was there a rule change at the start of the season that I missed ? Apart from that, good come back last night and a great pass and goal from Ridvan and Dessers.

  5. Would be good to see Bajrami get a run of games in his natural position.

  6. The Bunnet bought ra Sellik for £10 million. He arrived with a five year plan, including redevelopment of ra Stade de Gadd. He organised three share issues to raise the necessary funds. At the end of the five years another share issue(preferential shares) was issued. This raised enough dosh for Fergus to walk away from Scottish football with £30-odd million in his hip pocket. Half way through David Murray's twenty year tenure, it was obvious Rangers needed a similar transition. We are still waiting.

  7. If we are going to be playing a more transitional game, Bajrami would be better suited than Hagi. Just saying...

  8. I have thought Tavernier was good at CB the other times he's played there recently. It is a pity Sterling isn't fit. The move changed the game.

  9. Part One: ✔️ Took a while but comfortable in the end. First time we have won a league game there by more than one goal, for 14 years. Part Two coming soon: Scud Motherwell

  10. Interesting to hear Barry say in his interview on SKY that he's always believed there is a player in Dessers. You are correct, 2nd half he was unplayable. The touch for the 3rd goal was brilliant and his finish to make it 3-2 gets better every time you watch it. 22 goals last season and already on 20 this season - fair play to the big-man.

  11. With Clement gone it’ll be interesting to see how Dessers gets on. It’s no secret I don’t think Clement was his biggest admirer from their time together at club Brugge. Second half tonight he looked unplayable at times. Scored 2 & set up another with a superb touch to Diomande. If Barry Ferguson gets more from Dessers than Clement did it will prove a point or two to some people

  12. Barry Ferguson V Jose Mourinho will be a battle of tactical masterminds never seen before in the history of football. Hes actually turned this around by changing things and not sticking to some rigid system.

  13. Despite all the madness of the last week, takeovers, sackings, the 4 bears of the apocalypse, a truly awful start to a game on a horrific pitch..... The one thing I couldn't stop thinking about today, is just imagine how fuckin amazing it must have felt for BF to hear the fans belting out 'oh, Barry Barry!' again, after all those years. He must've thought he'd never hear that again, the hairs on his neck must've been like a bloody porcupines. As much as he's not exactly what I hoped for, I fuckin loved him as a player, and wish nothing but the best for him. 💙

  14. No two were more vilified than Tav and Dessers just a few short months ago. What do we know eh?

  15. Went for Dessers. I wish Tav would stop taking corners and get himself in the box as he is a better header than a crosser of the ball.

  16. Nsiala and Propper were both shocking and both should have been off if we had the right players on the bench. At times Raskin gets an easy ride , his passing is all over the place most games.

  17. Tav or Dessers for me. Went for Dessers due to his all round play and 2 goals.

  18. For me it was between Tav, Cerny and Dessers. Tav moving to CB stabilised our defence which then gave us a platform to build and get back into the game. If only we had a RB we could play Tav CB for remainder of the season. Cerny has been the player who always looks likely to get us something. Took his goal well and was involved in most of our good attacking play. Dessers led the line brilliantly, set up the 4th goal with a great touch and scored 2 goals (equaliser and goal to give us the lead which suggests he does, in fact, score "important " goals). Now on 20 for the season after bagging 22 last season. Gone with Dessers.

  21. 1. How long did it take Celtic to go from basket case, pass through biscuit tin before becoming what they are today? 2. How long do you think it will take us (if we ever get there) ?

  22. Maybe it was just the plastic pitch but I thought our play was quicker

  23. After the first half hour I enjoyed that. Effort, aggresion, clearing the ball, winning headers and taking chances, it was all there. Add to that substitutions at the right time in both halves strengthened the team. It is a simple game.

  26. See those wee drills Billy Dodds was doing in that training video yesterday? They have a actually been doing that a few times during the game. Think it’s called automatism..

  29. Sunderland have probably blown their chances of auto promotion, a couple of bad home draws and lates goals. Although its Sheff Utd v Leeds next Monday night so the door may open again especially for Burnley.
