  1. You're probably right but we surely have to see some definite improvement in our overall play? You can't just right off a season of domestic underperformance and not closely examine the manager's contribution.

  2. It really is bizarre how we leap from one model to the next and back again. Can only hope we find the right candidate...

  3. Sorry, I should have added that. League and Europe, not cups.

  4. Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! @CammyF (Title should be 2023-25 - 2nd January, 2023 (2-2 vs Celtic), to be precise, as that's when my data starts.) Edit: League and Europe Only.

  5. Other than Motherwell at home, it was away form that killed our league challenge last season. It's now obvious Clement hasn't learned a single lesson from last season as once again, it's our away form thats killed us this season. The Queens Park result was the last straw in my opinion. There should have been no return from that. If Patrick Stewart is telling us the truth, we have the finance to sack Clement, so one wonders why he's still in place.

  6. Would be better if it was The Bears or The Patriots right enough. Anyway, if Chris Jack is running with this, must be something in it.

  9. He was forced out by the UK Govt after they suggested he was close to Putin and his inner circle. No proof was given, as they knew full well he had distanced himself from the Russian hierarchy and he agreed that the £3bn he was owed from the sale of the club could go to the Ukranian relief fund - after the Govt no doubt took their share. They also confiscated any UK assets though they are apparently having to give some back as the confiscation has been proved illegal.

  10. Yes they are planning to move the stadium around as they have purchased the Oswald Stoll mansions (about 1.9 acres) to the left of the railway tracks. Whether they use the existing plans developed under Abramovitch that had planning permission or develop their own, it will take a while to complete.

  11. Apparently they made a mistake on that form, the shares were at 20p each. So 18m shares @ 20p, raising £3.6m. I'm guessing its a conversion of a loan to shares, but I'm sure we'll get more details in due course.

  12. Not sure any manager fixes this problem. Its like blaming Hibs Manager that they are not competing with us.

  13. I am not sure you can improve our overall play while drastically downsizing the way we have. I have a feeling the internal KPI's would have changed with the squad rug pull in the summer. I suspect individual player improvements are more important than team performances this season due to trying to get back in the black player trading again. Not saying this is what I agree with, it just seems pragmatic given the circumstances.

  17. Will be interesting if they get Leverkusen. Its either them or Atletico Madrid. PSV v Juventus (1-2) is the better match tonight - very much in the open. 2 Italian teams went out last night, could be another tonight. Cant see Man City overturning Real Madrid, there seems to be hype because City thumped Newcastle with Gonzalez now being the new Rodri after 1 game.

  18. 132 29 Hearts would have won it on goal difference. @compo will remember 1957/58 when the Hearts were champions scoring 132 and conceding 29. League points 62. We were second with 49. Only two points for a win in those days. Now it would be 91 and 71 The threshold of a generation of Gorgie greatness? Not quite. They won it again 1959/60 but only because they signed Hibs discard Gordon Smith and haven’t done a lot since. Things change in football. Sometimes suddenly.

  20. A rearranged game tonight, Villa not in the best form - having a sloppy draw with Ipswich at home last weekend. But they are good under the lights in the big games and I fancy them to get something. Aston Villa 2-2 Liverpool

  21. Is this just for league games, or is it all matches? Thanks for creating it, it's very interesting.

  22. Im on the same page as you. Every Rangers team I can remember has had the odd home bizarre defeat like the Motherwell game, I remember being a game in 2000 under Advocaat as Kilmarnock won 3-0 at Ibrox. But they were total one offs and the bounce back was immediate. That defeat at Dingwall for me was the game where it all started and thats the one we didnt recover from.

  23. Time to update the 'In This House We Believe' banner to 'In This House We Believe...Until the 93rd/94th Minute. its About time someone else scored in the dying seconds of the game. Did they try telling Bayern about their history? Didn't work, eh? 😜

  28. There is no way they will go down, Ipswich and Wolves would need to win 4 more games out of 13 than Man Utd and thats not happening.
