  2. Besiktas drew 0-0 today. They're clearly lacking a goalscoring #10...

  4. Besiktas (Solskjaer is manager) want Lawrence. It's Romano. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1880551202649186735

  6. Swap for Dessers and Lawrence and Matondo and Dowell and Rangers would still have to pay cash.

  7. My main recollection of Denis is his jack-knife headers and scissor kicks, and then his gladiatorial one-arm salute. Despite his flamboyance on the pitch off it he was really modest and sincere.

  8. Small sample size on fbref but here’s my take on the stats: - Pretty good in the air. Wins a lot of headers but loses a good bit more than average too. - Comfortable carrying the ball out from the back. - Good pass completion but a basic passer, keeps it simple and doesn't have much range. - Average defensive stats across the board. Doesn't look strong or aggressive from the stats. Reminiscent of Davies actually with high success % challenging dribbles but very low challenge rate. Basically, he only makes a challenges when he's going to win it. Very low numbers for blocks. Very much a project signing I think.

  9. If this goes tits up I'll never be able to leave the house again, it was bad enough when we lost to my home town Peterhead. Rangers 7 - 0 Puddlestinkers FGS - Dessers

  10. "The 22-year-old defender joins Rangers for the remainder of the 2024/25 season, with an option to make the move permanent. He will come in to provide competition and cover in the defensive line, with an aim to contribute this season and potentially develop into the future, should the club exercise the option on his loan." https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/rangers-sign-rafael-fernandes-on-loan/HW55yzMnaabvhSOfZsbK7 Nice.

  11. Only Scot to have won the Ballon d'or In the past quite a few have said he was the best Scottish striker of all time surpassing Dalglish.

  12. Sunderland missing 2 pens, they cant be doing that! 86th and 95th minutes as well so would have won the game.

  13. I had the misfortune to sit through the whole of BBC Shortbread's coverage on TV. Truly cringe worthy from start to finish. From Squeelium Leeum's dreadful stilted hyperbole driven commentary "Hearts fans are sharpening their knives while the Journo's are sharpening their pencils! WTF? Dozy, dreary McFadden on Co-Comms adding absolutely nothing of any significance whatsoever, no, wait a minute he thinks there is absolutely no reason why Hearts cannot finish 3rd and qualify for Europe! Seriously James? If that wasn't bad enough, after match summary from BBC's (w) anchor man Jonathan Sutherland then tries to make a case for Hertz 2nd goal to be awarded to a Hearts player when both Levein and the ex Brechin stooge tell him it's an OG. A blind man could see it's an OG. Sutherland retorts as judge and jury " Well there's no VAR so we can't be a 100 per cent sure!" WTF has VAR got to do with it? I am led to believe these amateur goons have the "rights" to televise live from Ibrox on Sunday. My advice? Avoid it at all costs!

  16. If he's clever he'll walk away and get a nice signing on fee with another club no doubt being advised by his dad .

  18. Stoke interested in Dowell. Hope he goes there. He could really take them to the next level. A level of turd. https://x.com/efltransfers14/status/1879940001557070060?s=46

  19. That’s not too bad. Try this blighter. What was worse? A dunt on the top of the skull when the ball was soaking wet or the lace across the forehead?

  20. What a result for Bournemouth. 6th in the league and 1 point off champions league places for a minnow of a club almost.

  21. Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano Besiktas are showing initial interest in Tom Lawrence at Glasgow Rangers. Ole Gunnar Solskjær coached him at Man United and now he has 6 months left on his deal, available for free in January. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1880551202649186735?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1880551202649186735|twgr^2b28bd237e55128657990eaa7cfbdd49d573a5b1|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.followfollow.com%2Fforum%2Fthreads%2Fthe-winter-2024-25-rangers-transfer-window-rumours-and-deals-thread.287636%2Fpage-151

  22. One thing I would say is they played on awful pitches and tackles were far harder, even in the 80s this was case.

  23. Law went for a British record, twice (?), which currently stands at £106M. £300M for the three of them? Take it or leave it!

  24. Thanks for the warning. I generally watch on mute and never listen to pre or post-mach discussions or interviews.

  25. That was Reilly. Law, like Dalglish, was more than a striker. Classic attacking inside forward.

  26. One of the best footballers I ever saw and that includes many of the greatest names home and abroad. And he did appear to hang in the air for headers. I wonder if that’s because he jumped higher than the descending trajectory of the ball so that he was on the way down rather than up when he hit it.

  27. I would play a fringe team on Sunday. Two games matter this week - Dundee Utd and Man Ure..... hate that mob. Dundee Utd means more........... We'll get through in Europe if we beat Union - well at least the playoffs

  29. I think the EPL will do due diligence on this and request some sort of clause that doesnt allow the mens sides in. However if it did happen along with Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham being in the Football League for a long time then it has to be worth pushing. Id be happy starting in league 2.

  30. Wow! If that were to happen then a precedent has been set legally: so we could apply to the EPL?
