I think this has been lost on much of the support. Many still expect us to be competitive just because we are Rangers. They forgot about the work that needs to be done on and off the park to facilitate that. Definitely the board are guilty of this.5 points

But this player was playing against two defenders maximum, not three or more. Watching the highlights, it is the same problem over and over again. One team defends with 7 or 8 players and only counter-attacks. You can lose goals quite easily against such tactics, since the counter-attackers only need a few chances to score. It is similar to how Union played and plays against better opposition, like Leverkusen, Leipzig, and Bayern. Let me guess: teams like St. Mirren have far more problems against teams like themselves? That is, where they have to "play football"? I would play three defenders, and one 6. If you have 70+% of the ball, you do not need two 6s, and can easily use two modern style wingers. You saw what Cerny did at their goal. 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 is the way to play against such teams like yesterday. The 3 defenders guard the middle and don't attack. It is very strange that a continental trainer like Clement does not see and use this.4 points

Fail to beat Motherwell and lose to Celtic and I fear Clement will be gone3 points

I suppose it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. They will canter to the title with or without referees making decisions like that. Let’s see if it continues when there is a real title race on.3 points

They did but they’d a system to suit which didn’t leave him isolated. Too often that happens when we play one up front1 point

First thing needing sorted is the defence as we have little money then any money spent should be on the defence we have three full backs who cant defend and we need a couple of players to fill the centre half positionhe may have to try some square pegs in round holes until we find some decent money to buy a decent player .1 point

I thought we'd end up coming through yesterday, I was wrong over the 90 minutes. It happens! Fairyland is the place you occupy. A place where you ignore what has been going on for years and expect significant positive change. The club needs to lay foundations off the park, if it pretends to have any consistent success on it. We can spend money we don't have looking for short term improvements but the chances of making it to medium term would be slim because of the financials. You can expect what you want. Bit like a young kid going into a toy shop with 50p to spend.1 point

No, I knew we'd lose yesterday after 10mins - toy told me to put my handbag away as we'd win - who's living in fairyland? Any decent manager should be able to have us close to Celtic. Accepting and excusing being 12 points adrift at Christmas and dropping 16 points, that's living in fairyland.1 point

One off games we should be beating everyone bar Celtic every time. Should we be beating Nice 4-0, or drawing with Spurs who have players worth more than our entire club? Football doesn’t work like that.1 point

Yesterday I watched Newcastle they played with four at the back every time they lost the ball that back four were all in position to defend I watched a bit of Man United they played with three at the back with both wide midfielders falling back in defence when under attack a line of five when we come under attack the defence is everywhere I’d say that’s bad coaching .1 point

The same thing Walter Smith did when he replaced PLG - signed two no nonsense centre half's and we suddenly stopped conceding goals. Not rocket science.1 point

Don’t think anyone is accepting anything, we have been mismanaged for years to the point we need to make a dramatic course correction. Expecting anything from this season other than just getting by was always going to be unrealistic.1 point

He did sign Morelos and Ryan Jack. And signed CB’s Cardoso( who went on to play for Porto) and the experienced Bruno Alves who unfortunately was constantly injured. He did recognise the importance of of the CB role it seemed.1 point

I don't get this - why would we need vast investment to beat St Mirren? Do you honestly believe St Mirren have better players than we do? We just need to be coached better1 point
-
So what’s the correct appointment? Without massive financial investment this is as good as it gets unless we can unearth one or two youngsters we can sell on. As I keep saying, this is a very mediocre group of players some of whom lack very basic skills which no sesoned manager will change1 point

Agreed, however its past the tipping point. This season has gone from a "transitional" season to a complete and utter disaster. Every likelihood we could be 18 points behind Celtic after the final whistle on Jan 2nd. No matter how we paint it, no matter the downsizing or the project, that is completely unacceptable (being 10 points behind after 2nd Jan is unacceptable).1 point

So many missed fouls, jersey pulls, illegal blocks, play on with fouls with no advantage etc at Paisley. I don't think the refs care about what we say . It won't end well.1 point

By all means sack him but just make sure his replacement will do better. We screwed up big style 2 years ago sacking GVB and replacing him with Beale1 point

That was dreadful. Too many of these people do not have the ability/bottle to play for our club. The team selection, tactics and subs dubious once again (excluding the 2 at half time). What the hell happened to Tav and Cerny today? We needed them and we don't have adequate subs. We are a mess.1 point
-
Can't argue that. I was foolishly thinking prior to tonights game , that we could've possibly narrowed the gap down to just six on the 2nd. It seems like it's always one step forward ,and one back .1 point

Is that the wee crank mod from FF? Wouldn’t take anything that wet wipe says seriously.1 point
-
Neither is Ridvan, so what's your point? Sterling lost the ball dithering not knowing what to do. That's got nothing to do with Tav, Tav's positioning. It's 100% on Sterling.1 point
-
I never mentioned Jefte. I'll answer the quesrion for you Ridvan is a permanently injured run of the mill player who offers no goal threat and very little assists. Tav isn't.1 point

Oh surprise surprise them lot struggling to break down Motherwell but get a penalty. You honestly couldn't make this up ffs1 point

My brother in law was a great fan of the Clyde home and away he’d go to watch them as for the thirds it was at Cathkin park were I seen my first ever Rangers game1 point

Agreed. The Thirds of Hilley, Harley and Gray were rattling good entertainment. Jocky Robertson is probably the shortest goalkeeper I’ve ever seen in too football. He had long arms, though.1 point
