FFS. The guy has been in the door less than 2 days and will still be in the early stages of his information gathering, and has also been dealing with the SFA on the VAR issue and you expect him to have something of substance and can already form an opinion that he hasn't got what we need?11 points

KoraMaroc on X: "🚨Breaking news! AS FAR and Rangers are set to sign a partnership that will pave the way for young talents from AS FAR’s academy to make an earlier move to Europe. The deal will also see friendly matches scheduled between the two clubs, strengthening the ties between them. This https://t.co/Pen6lm1Brv" / X Interesting if true.5 points

We all are still hurting after Sunday , we will get the usual apology and told to move on , the Refs will 'get better training and wont make these mistakes again ', we have heard all this time after time , whether its poor sending's off , disallowed goals etc etc . However once you start analyzing things , I honestly believe its the mindset of the Refs/Var officials to take what they see as the safe option for them and go against us/for Celtic . If you look at some of the big decisions in the last few Old firm games , Dessers/Roofes disallowed goal , Dessers goal that is brought back 70 yards for a free kick to them , Johnstons hand ball and the subsequent 'offside 'reason that was found 30 minutes later , the disallowed goal in the Scottish cup final for a foul on the keeper , even though it was the celtic player that pushed the Rangers player into Hart , and then the 3 big decisions on Sunday , none of which Var corrected . Now I understand some of these decisions are subjective and open to interpretation either way , bar Sundays penalty, however the fact every decision going against us defies logic and bookies odds , so is it simply the fact that intimidation , threats and continual assault on refs both from their place monkeys in the press and at boardroom level is paying off . Our new CEO really has a horrendous job , after years of softly softly to turn things around .4 points

Back in the eighties ,such was the influence of Aberdeen captain Willie Miller, he was once described at the time as one of 'Scotlands best referees'. Fast forward forty years, and we now have Callum Macgregor ,who is right up there with Miller.3 points

The one thing that will destroy your credibility in such a role as he is in, is going off like a jack knifed milk float before you even have a full grasp of said role. Give him a chance buster.3 points

Being realistic though, he's likely to have had a number of interactions with senior people and board members as part of the interview process as well as post-announcement. He likely already has a "warts-and-all" view of the club, but his job is to lead the club on a day-to-day basis, and that means bringing people with you as much as it does about making tough decisions. If I was in his shoes, I imagine his message to the Board is that everyone gets a clean slate, and that he will evaluate all aspects of the club personally, or with perhaps a small team of people he trusts, with a view to presenting his findings to the Board along with recommendations for change. Discretion in the early stages I would say, is the right approach.3 points

Other point I forgot to add to my initial post , nearly every SPFL team has within a small margin the same fouls to bookings ratio , except them , they have double on average fouls to bookings , when it comes to Europe we are almost exactly the same , funny that .3 points

Lets face it, wouldn't really matter what he said, certain folk would be greetin' about it.3 points

People make unkind and unfounded remarks about the size of my ears but jings, look at the lugs on that. Spockian I thought he spoke pretty well. Interviews like that are never going to be highly successful. The trick is to avoid ridicule and he managed that. Good luck to the lad.3 points

If you knew Susie ................ oh what a girl? Ho, ho, ho; tis the season to be jolly and on Saturday last, the national broadcaster was in perpetual mirth making mode. Off the Ball gave us Susie McCabe again and, the Rangers obsessive donned her angry clown face and went for the full Pennywise frenzy. Equivalency is never to be acknowledged. In this regard, Susie rocks an arrogance and BBC Scotland both encourages and facilitates her ridiculous swagger. The other guest was STV newsreader, John MacKay who was plugging his new tome. John is a Bluenose and Susie was ready to feast. The hosts, Tam Cowan and Ray Bradshaw asked both guests their thoughts on the next day's game, the League Cup final? MacKay began reasonably and rationally, wondering if two days would be adequate recovery time for John Soutar. He predicted the four days available to Sellik's Alastair Johnson would be beneficial. Susie struck, "we had to endure ten years of financial doping and you cannot wait play the two extra recovery days card". Susie then told us she was born and bred in Glasgow's east end and educated in Coatbridge, again! Further, she is always keen to relate whatever she was talking about to Frankie(Boyle) during the week. Really, Susie is quite important. Next Ray Bradshaw points out whoever wins the cup moves ahead in trophies won status. Susie strikes immediately, "Celtic are classy and I hope they don't go with the worlds most successful club thing. Ah mean Real Madrid have won fifteen European Cups, they are the worlds most successful club. Anyways, when were Rangers founded"? Cowan distanced the show from her comments pointing out it was her specific opinion and any complaints should be directed to her. Susie decides on recovery by flashing her nationalistic credentials, "we are different in Scotland, ah loved the way we voted to change the name of that ship, deciding on Boaty McBoatface". Worshipping at Nicola's altar can lead to serious derangement. The vessel was built in Birkenhead for the British Antarctic survey, it was a BBC Radio Jersey DJ that campaigned for and received 125,000 votes from all around the UK. I suppose we are fortunate this time because when she is on again in a fortnight we will be told that it was Susie and her fellow happy hoopsters that pierced the pomposity. I am sure she was saying it to Frankie during the week. Maybe Susie is confusing the vessel with the two Ferries built at Fergusons, you know the ones taking Scottish marine architecture to new limits? What other country has pioneered cardboard funnels and painted on windows? The MV Glen Rosa should be renamed as a homage to the Dennistoun clown, 'Susie McGloatface' would be most appropriate. These last ten weeks with RAB Cosgrove taking a sabbatical, Susie has co=presented the show, she has done so at least a couple of dozen occasions. On Saturday, she was a guest. Is the former a separate entity to the latter, we should be told. Oh, what a girl .....2 points

Apology means nothing. Connor and Muir need to be finished. I have seen loads of people ask for the audio. That will achieve nothing. We know they wont say anything that would catch them out as the media get a feed of the audio. Connor has been caught twice now handing Celtic a LC trophy. It doesn't matter what the reason is, he must be finished.2 points

This drab sounds as amusing as frozen vomit on a Sunday morning sidewalk. Susie McBokeFace, then, sez I.1 point

Agree. Legacy media is on the way out, so they cant control the narrative as much as they have. So being honest about these decisions in public cant be shut down as easily as before. Rodgers took a ban last year when they got a correct decision against him for speaking about it, and has called out refs before. Its not difficult.1 point

In the here and now, one can quickly establish the "pedigree" of a referee in terms of football loyalties. It is a small country, so the pool is indeed limited. But if it is clear that referees are either incompetent, not up to the pressure of such a game, or have certain leanings, they should not put on the black shirt in such games or sit behind the monitor. If they lack referees, go and hire some "foreigner" in advance. Maybe they'll have smarting home-bred people, but it is up to the latter to officiate a game according to the rules. In any case, they could hire people for VAR roles, put women referees in there, whatever. The status quo is not acceptable.1 point

Wouldn't change anything mate, would just be labelled a biased mason and opinion would be ignored. I do think we should hire a referee analyst but that's a totally different thing. That's for understanding what advantages we can gain from understanding referees behaviours.1 point

Cammy I totally agree , but my point is that the refs mindset is ALWAYS to give them the decisions , factual or not .1 point

I said in the match thread, we should look to employ an ex-referee who would analyse these decisions and post on our social media. They could begin with a dossier of incorrect decisions that have all gone against us and for Celtic over recent years. They aren't hard to find and would make for some interesting viewing. I think the issue with Sunday is that the decision isn't subjective, it's factual. No room for manoeuvre whilst trying to explain it away. Hence the false narratives of whistle being blown before Cerny is in the box.1 point

Maybe I "borrowed" busters login and posted what I really thought of the interview 🤷♂️😀1 point

Full of platitudes and the scripted sound bites. Lacking in any worthwhile substance. Expected in footballers, not in a CEO under the current circumstances. Talked a lot about the football and very little beyond that. Talked of "strong foundations", where does he get that from? He needs to oversee the implementation of them. He made no mention of financial challenges, the elephant in the room. First impression (subject to change depending on actions) is that he hasn't got what we need.1 point

ZaK Lovelace came on as a sub and scores 87th minute winner in a 3-2 victory over Celtic in Glasgow Cup Final. Young Cubs overcame Celtic and some dubious refereeing decisions to lift the trophy. Cortes and Matando both started the game and played 45 minutes. Congratulations to the Cubs.1 point

Started off with the usual soundbites which is fine, you wouldn't expect anything else (fans, tradition, goosebumps etc). Like his use of the phrase "cautiously optimistic" when it came to recent performances. Willing to engage with the fans is also a positive, then back to the closing soundbites (again, nothing overly concerning there). He has a tough task ahead of him and his handling and how tenacious he is seeking an explanation and reasoning behind Sunday's non-penalty will go a long way in showing us if he really us up for the massive challenges that await him. Best of British.1 point

Living la Vida Loca. It is a quarter of a century since Puerto Rican prancer and warbler, Ricky Martin achieved the number one spot with his take on enduring a mad world. It is appropriate mood music for all Rangers supporters who continue to exercise patience whilst PQ takes truth on another crazy journey. It is a quirk of our fate that Ricky Martin or, Ricky and Martin performed a choreographed rant on the latest manufactured controversy. Ricky Foster and Martin Dowden seized the penalty to Rangers narrative. Richard Foster has turned out for Rangers on 53 occasions over two spells at the club, including a couple of appearances in the Champions League. Ricky took our money and never misses an opportunity to run to the national broadcaster and articulate disbelief. Eighteen months ago, he was appointed Chief of Coaching at Motherwell and after Rangers visited Fir Park he rushed into the Sportscene studio to vehemently disagree with two refereeing decisions. 'Well midfielder, Callum Slattery received a second yellow for backhanding Cantwell and Ricky did not accept the drawn VAR lines proving Sakala was onside for the concluding goal. This particular PQ crazy journey to the truth took a week. Big Dick provided further interference on Sportsound the next day when he led 'Well Gaffer, Stuart Kettlewell with the line, "Todd Cantwell cheated and hoodwinked the Referee". Kettlewell was invited to Hampden to discuss both decisions and he accepted both decisions were correct. A similar trip began on Saturday. Ricky thought Dessers fouled the Saints defender, Sanders then, he heard a whistle which he ventured stopped play. Good Sellik man, Martin Dowden penned the PQ website piece(it remains up today, Wednesday), "Controversial opener helps Rangers past St Johnstone". It has been Edited a couple of times but still contains the lines, "Dessers tangled with Sanders, Referee Mathew MacDermid seemed to give that as a foul" and, "St Johnstone were furious when the goal was ultimately awarded as they clearly felt play had been stopped by the Referee". Ricky leads, Martin reinforces la Vida Loca. Another good Sellik man, Kheredine Idessane has penned a second concluding piece for the website today, "St Johnstone accept no whistle before Dessers goal". Saints asked for a Hampden meeting, attended and after hearing the audio from the incident, are satisfied that no breach of VAR protocol took place. Where does this leave Ricky and Martin? Regular Rangers Hater in Chief, Michael Stewart was doing co-comms on Premier Sports for the game and unsurprisingly he deemed Dessers had fouled Sanders. We know the former Sellik TV Pundit sees himself as the Jiminey Cricket of Scottish football. I suspect both Ricky and Martin heard the Ginja Ninja giving it, "a little (dog) whistle"? Upside, inside out We're livin' la vida loca.1 point
