We beat them by taking our chances. We simply haven't done that in the last couple of matches against them. We've created chances but failed to convert them. Celtic will create chances, they are strong going forward and have goals throughout their side, but they also let their opponents create chances. In Scotland that's not been such a problem as the opponents are generally fairly average. Hibs could have scored 3 against them during the week for example. If, and it's a big if, but if we can start taking our chances against them then you never know. Goals change games, it's a cliche but it's true. Scoring goals has been a problem for us this season, then suddenly we score 14 goals in our last 4 games. If we can take our chances when they come, and I believe they will come, then Sunday will be a closer match than most are predicting.4 points

I was away hillwalking yesterday morning, so had to listen to game on radio driving back home from the hills. John Robertson was actually very good in his match analysis, was raving about our front 4/midfield movement, was refreshing to hear tbh, and took me by surprise. It's not often I've heard that recently, particularly from that outlet. Great to see Igamane's continued growth.4 points

Is that how you’re supposed to choose a team to support?4 points

He also said we should shut the doors if we don't win...3 points

Get Barry Ferguson on your list. He is just your man for talking up unrealistic expectations on a shoestring.3 points

No use beating the rest if you can’t beat the best of course we can beat them first you deny them the middle of the park you don’t stand-off them when they are in possession you retain the ball and keep going forward I watched them at Aberdeen last week because i couldn’t get Rangers TV to work but what I saw was they don’t have a great defence they hate players running at them and big brawbaws in defence Trusty is a bit of a breenger gets himself into a tangle if put under pressure we will win2 points

I don't agree that Tav and Dessers are our main goal threats. Dessers hasn't played well when he's started for weeks and Tav has struggled defensively for months. Igamane and Danilo have scored 2 in 2 and Cerny has been scoring more consistently than Tav.1 point

He’s recovering confidence and showing a return to form. Let’s not set him back by making him defend against Maeda. Dessers can come on for the last half hour. See if he can exploit a defence after Igamane has shaken it up a bit.1 point

That's the conundrum. We have to score goals to beat them. Dessers is our top scorer and outscores their front 3 (if I have my stats right). Tav has now scored 2 from 2 as well as having 3 or 4 assists. We replace Tav with Sterling who (arguably) is better defensively but offers nothing going forward. Danilo and Igamane have both started to contribute but are untested against them (that could be a positive or a negative). Also, I think the only players in our squad who'll likely feature on Suanday to have scored against Celtic (for Rangers) are Souttar, Dessers and Tav.1 point

Hah! I voted for Diomande because I can't tell my Hamzas from my Mohameds! I meant to vote for Igamane, his work rate, moments of skill and general attitude endeared me to him. So ignore the vote for Diomande, that was a mistake.1 point

I suspect most of us feel like that, Cammy. We still give the ball away far to cheaply and both Spurs and Celtic will punish us when we do it. We did it yesterday but Ross County weren't good enough to capitalise. I won't pretend I'm confident.1 point

If only it was that simple. As well as taking our chances, we must negate their forward threats, remain vigilant at set-pieces and not allow them time and space in midfield. Whilst we've improved in recent weeks, the DUFC game is a reminder of how poor we can be. As I said my heart says we can beat them, but head tells me otherwise.1 point

Like Scottish referees, another honest mistake 😉😀1 point

You're right - it was shut the doors if we sign Shankland. You do like to use 'shut the doors' quite often, so you'll forgive me for misremembering.1 point

And he doesn’t mind a batter at goal. Creates chances from rebounds and palm-outs and unsettles the ‘keeper.1 point

There were a number of decent performances but I have gone for Hagi. He reads the games so well, knows where the space is and is giving us cohesion something that no-one else currenty gets near.1 point

John Robertson is generally a fair pundit. I remember cursing him when watching Rangers 0-2 up on Hearts at Tynecastle, he scored 2 goals in the last 2 minutes. First game at Tynecastle was better, watching Derek Parlane score 4 goals in a 2-4 win. Miners strike at the time, 2pm KO. I also remember the Rangers support applauding a Hearts goal against us. We'd already scored 5. Might have been the game that Cooper scored a cracker.1 point

Nope, never said that. I think it's unrealistic to expect Rangers NOT to be challenging for titles and trophies. If others think otherwise, fine but it's a demand and expectation that the players and manager need to understand.1 point

The best way to approach this Cup Final is one of humility and respect. Pile all the expectation on Celtic. If we go into it bumping our gums about how good we are and that we expect to lift the cup, etc. .... It will almost certainly end badly.1 point

Obstruction. No player should be allowed to shepherd the ball, players must play the football.1 point

The average time the ball is in play is 58 minutes and 37 seconds don’t know who does these calculations but would you be in favour of the clock being stopped when the ball is out of play1 point
