  1. I'm very disappointed no one has noticed my promotion, even if it wasn't announced with great fanfare as it ought to have been. I now have access to the Caird of Purest Yellae.

  2. On behalf of everybody at gersnet I would like to congratulate Mister Koppen and wish him the very best of luck in his new role. I hope that Mister Koppen will understand that this role is to be a scapegoat for every dropped point from now until his inevitable departure.

  3. In Glasgow it's yella, so that's how you all need to learn to say it.

  4. Same difference. Lothians folk speak nearly as posh as Embra.

  5. I recall folk saying that about Souttar and Barron, and I feel they've both proven that they may have what it takes to be talked about for years to come. History is littered with players who had to actually come here to grow and be the players they needed to be.

  6. The guy looks well. Considering I saw he and his band at the Apollo fifty years past. He was more energetic than his music, whilst continuing to strum he completed several somersaults from a trampette situated on stage. I think he has been a sideman to His Bruceness these last forty years? Obviously, he will have to fit his technical duties around the E-Street Band's touring schedule.

  7. I did notice your promotion, but I thought you'd be far too modest to bring attention to it.

  10. Only time will tell if this is the right appointment but the process is certainly a flawed one so many fans will rightly be less than confident. Was the potential new CEO involved in the decision? We're well down our short leet there already...

  13. Most likely. But I doubt many people speak Scots (i.e. the "English" derived from the Angles' language rather than the Saxon language of England (and what you use for "Scottish English")) in daily life anyway ...

  17. I hope this story has no footing in reality. Compensation or not, yet another winter with another manager out the door would make us a real laughing stock for all the yahoos who seem to outnumber real Bluenoses on all things Rangers online.

  18. Had he said less I would have felt better about it. "Sign the best out of Scotland," is a comment I find very worrying. Who is he refering to. There are no players at non old firm teams with anywhere near the quality to be winning Rangers players imo.

  19. Why? Was he going to do a runner because we moved the goalposts with his role so we have given him a promotion and pay rise as a sweetener?

  27. He played in 3 separate World Cups, and, interestingly, in Argentina he missed the debacles with Peru and Iran, but played when we beat the second best side in the World, Holland. Just coincidence I'm sure. He captained the best club side in Europe, arguably the world, won 3 European Cups, 5 English League titles and 2 Scottish League titles and played helped Sampdoria win the first trophy in their entire history. For four years running he was named in the PFA Team Of The Year and also named in the PFA Team Of the Century 20 years after he retired. For 4 or 5 seasons Souness would have been a first choice for any club, and any country, in the world. I don't know what your definition of 'World class' is but if Souness doesn't qualify for it then I don't know who does.

  28. He was excellent, covering up for Hanley's mistakes and poor positioning. Just needs to stay injury free and could be a future captain of Rangers and Scotland.
