  1. A couple of other comments: We are largely reliant on financial support from the directors, and there are £22m of loans outstanding to them at the year end. They can be rightly criticised over a number of issues but they are obviously still highly committed to the club, and I'm not sure where we would be without their ongoing support, for which they deserve to be praised. We have a settlement cost of £3.8 million, which is presumably the cost relating to the Elite/Hummel case. It's so frustrating that we have wasted cash in such things, although perhaps it was factored in to an extent when deciding to switch to Castore. We are now apparently litigation free for the first time in 10 years. Thank f***!

  3. There will be no title challenge this season and we have known this for months. The almost constant talk about it and use of it by many as an expectation /measurement for 'the rebuild' is unrealistic and counterproductive. We will finish second. Aberdeen will soon hit turbulence.

  4. It was great but I think I would swap it for winning the league every year since 55.

  5. I'm assuming anyone thinking we'll win tomorrow hasn't watched us play any domestic away matches for several months? Our away form is like a bottom six side.

  6. All I'm saying is it's not sustainable over the course of a season. If we had a similar output I'd be incredibly worried - but we're judged on titles, which Aberdeen are not.

  7. The post-55 squad got us to Seville so I don't see that as a mistake. I wouldn't swap the memories from that season for anything.

  8. Partly due to receiving £3.9m of a covid related business interruption insurance claim and partly due to the sale of part of the Albion () for £1.1m, so £5m that don't relate to that year's trading.

  9. Aberdeen are gash, but have a winning mentality that once started, is easier to maintain. A draw wouldn't be the worst result, which in itself is a feckin ridiculous statement!.

  10. They already have Ruben Amorim of Sporting Lisbon lined up. Imagine that, a club sacking a manager a not taking months to find the next one. But having already done the due diligence to have a shortlisted candidate lined up and ready to go. As much as they are a basket case of a club that’s the way to do it. Not like we have done it.

  11. Rangers International Football Club PLC Annual Report | Rangers Football Club Revenue up from £84m to £88m. Increased loss for the year from £4m loss to £17m loss, mainly due to making a lot less on player sales.

  12. Players should have been moved on after that. Tav, Goldson, Kent, Morelos, Barisic etc

  13. I think we'll adopt the wee club mentality and raise our game against the bid club that is Aberdeen.

  14. The player trading model will only work (consistently) with a successful team winning trophies and major games on a consistent basis. No one is interested in players from teams that finish second. Are the costs related to new EH and the development of the Copeland Road development factored into this?

  15. Stats won't predict a one-off game. Stats only predict general trends over the long term.
