I think I'm the only Rangers supporter left who expects us to beat Aberdeen on Wednesday. I'm really hoping Aberdeen approach the match the way most of their support, and decent percentage of ours, expect. If they are open and expansive I think that plays right into our hands. We've struggled against packed defences, but when sides have a go, like Malmo, Bucharest, Dundee in the cup and Ross County at the start of the season, we've done fine. There's no way Aberdeen are as good as Celtic or Lyon. I accept they are in good form, are picking up points and are clearly a better side than in recent seasons, but they're still Aberdeen. We need to bring our scoring boots, I'm hoping Dessers 45 mins on the bench has given him the kick in the arse he needed, he was much more effective in the second half yesterday than he's been in the previous half dozen games. Cerny and Bajrami seem to be settling too. We're a long way from where we need to be as a side, but I'm not feeling the trepidation some many of seem to be. Bring it on.10 points

I was saying much the same to my mate earlier. I can't see Aberdeen sitting in, I expect them to be right up for it and have a go. However, it'll be down to us to show quality in the right moments, something we haven't always managed.2 points

There's not a cat in Hell's chance the sheep are winning the league. The yahoos will win it at a canter. We just need to focus on each match as it comes and not worry about the rest.2 points

I think Barron does a cracking job and Raskin is similar but neither is a creative player. Diamonde started well but has definitely gone off the boil and has been a passenger recently. Lawrence isn't very good. Dowell is a waste of space. Hagi or Bajrami should be playing at No.10.2 points

Sad to hear of the untimely passing of Lex Shields the other day. Lex was a great wee player for Bo'ness United and starred in their last Junior Cup victory against Ballieston at Ibrox in 1984. Lex was granted a testimonial by Bo'ness and Rangers supplied the opposition and brought a decent team to Newtown Park including the late, great Davie Cooper. Rest easy Lex.1 point

We were lucky against Hibs, but deserved to win the others in terms of xG. I've been critical of our xG output but it's still generally higher than our opponents - except against Hibs. Aberdeen have had a lower xG against 4 of their last 6 opponents.1 point

But you could argue we were lucky to beat Hibs (they missed a penalty), Dundee United and St Mirren. The stats might not back that up, but I feel we were lucky to win those 3 games.1 point

I know this is an absolute nonsense link, and yet...1 point

If the Rangers job were to become available, Graham Potter WOULDbe interested in taking the role. That's according to a former England goalkeeper. Paul Robinson claims he knows for a FACT that the former Swansea, Brighton and Chelsea head coach would be interested in potentially becoming Rangers manager. Potter was touted with a switch north of the border this time last year after Michael Beale's sacking. Philippe Clement, of course, took over and has been in the game for a little over 12 months now. Potter was believed to be in the picture for the England national team job, but Thomas Tuchel was appointed two weeks ago. With Erik ten Hag dismissed by Manchester United this morning, it seems Potter's name has already been linked with the hotseat at Old Trafford. He's been out of a job for around 18 months since he left Chelsea, and in a recent appearance on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, he revealed he's waiting for his next opportunity in coaching.1 point

We didn’t play very well but we won imagine if we had one decent half back who could spray passes about with those two terrier’s Raskin and Barron either side of him1 point

We should all encourage our inner juvenile. Though to be honest I would rather Aberdeen won the title than the Keltic.1 point

I’m just worried. I understand the conflict but it’s Aberdeen and though my head has written off the season my inner juvenile harbours a flicker of hope. If it were near the season’s end and Hearts or even Dundee or Motherwell were in Aberdeen’s position I would probably agree1 point

If we don't win the league, I honestly couldn't give a flying f whether it's the rheptiles or that other toxic lot up the road.1 point

I agree with everything except this. The stats say they've been lucky. I expect it to even out over the course of the season - unless they get better...1 point

Don't get me wrong I like Raskin and Barron but they need a creative spark with them. Most of our players flatter to deceive. Its depressing fearing going to Pittodrie. Especially when I have never heard of half of the Aberdeen players!1 point

Was there and a absolute cretin of a referee made the game even worse. IMO we have found the ideal pairing in midfield with Raskin(my M.O.M) and Barron. Could the big right back be our next Bassey if he keeps up today's display in two positions. Dessers deserved high credit for his part in our second.1 point

Scrappy performance but a shaky defensive display first half unsettled the whole team as was being unable to hold the ball up front. Butland looked suspect once again at a goal which must be a concern1 point

Three points from a scrappy game in the rain, and some more terrible refereeing from the latest terrible ref. For me the lad Igamane is still in the prospect stage as Dessers was a vast improvement. Bring on the sheep on Wednesday1 point

Thought Dessers played well when he came on. Great quick thinking for the 2nd goal and not seen it back but thought it was a stonewall penalty. Cerny played well, Bajrami wasted out left, Diomande hot and cold but as you said did well for the opener. Our attack and defence both look disjointed. We looked far more balanced when Tav and Dessers came on but today showed only Souttar is comfortable building / passing out from defence.1 point

Cerny has really improved since Lyon (Killie aside). Dessers is not scoring so glad someone else has stepped up. Thought that was a good forward move by Diomande too for his goal. Good forward thinking.1 point

Moving big Kas to CB has killed the threat of St Mirrens striker who bullied propper all day1 point

Whisper it... We've been better since Tavernier and Dessers came on...1 point
