  1. Who are the players giving him this info? I can’t think of any obvious connection to Marvin Bartley.

  2. The lass on the left needed that door to keep her vertical, it seems.

  3. Wont make the game tonight, my kid has some commitments. I'm sticking by my result doesn't really matter Europa league mantra. Win tonight changes nothing for the manager, he still needs to win on Sunday.

  4. Much improved performance from Rangers tonight, Barron was excellent, as was Raskin. Cerny played like he was trying to prove a point, he did, much better from him. Great to see Igamane get his goal. Good result.

  5. Anyone expecting wholesale changes was naive. That is, arguably, our strongest team.

  7. Wee sidenote ... Kasanwirjo - 166 games (listed) - 92 centre-half - 60 right-back - 8 defensive midfield - left-back 5 - left midfield 1 ... not as left back-please. Unless Tavernier wrecks himself somehow, he is as likely to play on forever as we stick with this terrible line-up. Diomande and Raskin in DM means - like on Sunday - a neat lack of physicality where it matters. Sterling should have played vs Killie, and I would also like to see him tonight. You can bet your bottom penny that the line-up tonight will be exactly the same that we saw at Rugby Park, with the only possible change being amongst our DM trio, Raskin, Diomande, and/or Barron.

  8. Changed my mind about not going and glad I did. Enjoyed that. Agree Butland was lucky and that could have led to a very different game. Let's built some momentum now.

  9. Was at game and thought Butland got away with one but I haven't seen any film of the game. Some great play, some not so great but four excellent goals. Will not be seat subbing for Sunday now.

  10. I thought Raskin and Barron worked well together. Raskin had a bundle of energy next to him to do the donkey work and Barron had the comfort of a #6 covering so he could get away with riskier plays.

  11. I don't understand Clements comments when asked what he was looking for from the changes - his response that it was just rotation, that it's impossible for players to play every game. Doesn't apply to Tav though... Raskin was MOTM for me without any doubt. Cerny with two great goals - starting to win me back, if he can keep it up. Good to see Igamane get his goal and hope he can build on that to eventually displace Huffers.

  12. We bring on a right-back, but not for the Old Man, but to allow the latter to become a right-winger ... ... while McCausland must be wondering what he's done wrong.

  13. Alas, some open game of football. Not high class, but entertaining. The ref's on his way to be a killjoy though

  14. The referee seems to be quite trigger happy and yet inexplicably misses clear fouls.

  15. The difference, so far, is that they make more mistakes than us.

  16. If we were a better team we'd be wiping the floor with this side.

  17. It's soft AF, but he doesn't get the ball. Freekick is correct.

  18. Certainly not the side I'd have picked but the manager clearly feels this is the attacking system and personnel he thinks will come good. If it doesn't happen quickly and by that I mean in the first 45mins tonight, any remaining fan goodwill he has will disappear.

  20. Think he was down as injured, shock. Probably a hand injury from signing his new contract

  21. Be good to see Bajrami in his right position. Disagree with sutton_blows_goats though; I think Europe is now more important for several reasons: 1) the league is as good as gone now given Sunday's disaster; 2) a win earns as money; 3) progress earns us prestige and respect beyond these shores. Just wanting to win the poor Scottish league is parochial in the extreme in my view.

  22. After Sunday's pedestrian performance, I'm expecting the manager to freshen up tonight's starting XI. Jefte on the left wing with Bajrami inside allows for a more natural attacking balance and Igamane must replace Dessers in attack. I'd also bring in Raskin for Barron.

  23. He's the Rangers manager so rightly or wrongly he's expected to win every game. Given out recent EL form, this is a very winnable match but one I can't see us winning which will heap more pressure (rightly or wrongly) on the manager. I think what we are all looking for is a reaction to a very poor start to the season. Be that change in personal, change of formation and a sign of a system that suits the players, is effective. Like you, I have other commitments tonight and for the 1st time in years I'm actually glad I'm not going tonight. Have no other plans for Sunday so planning to drag myself to Ibrox. However another Sunday type performance / result tonight and I might not bother. Absolutely scunnered with the manager, team and club at the moment.

  24. A vlog from last night's B Team game - shows all 4 goals (spoiler alert, Hagi didn't score the 4th directly from a corner - it's an OG 😀)

  25. Robert Redford leading the way. And there's plenty more where that came from (Elvis, Steve McQueen, Martin Sheen etc.).

  30. I posted this on the other thread: Terrible question. He gave PC an out. PC has a point - too many sideways passes or too many long balls. Which is it? He should have just stuck to long balls. It was a good idea to ask about style, though. We don't get that often.

  31. I liked the question being asked, and how he didn't back down when challenged by the manager. But does anyone think the manager is going to come out and explain in any detail what his gameplan is and how we will beat teams?

  32. Don't think it's quite that simple. Sacking him would cost us a fortune. There are no obvious replacements. We only have skeleton staff at board level. We knew this wasn't going to be easy. We can't keep sacking managers ever Autumn.

  33. I don't think there will be a change any time soon but without clear and obvious improvement it is inevitable.

  34. If his year at Arsenal was poor I'd love to know what you thought of Arteta's first 2/3 seasons. Considering how toxic that club was at that time I thought he did well enough. Not even just the fans either, the way he was portrayed and made fun of in the press and media was bordering on xenophobic. I'm a Rangers fan but Birmingham City are the club I follow in this city, even I'm happy that he's proving the fans and media wrong and taking it to the establishment. If you ask me he's been the best manager in England over the last couple of years - relative to what he's doing. Villa were in a relegation scrap ffs.

  35. I would like to think we wouldn't have been as naive as to try and go toe to toe with them.
