We were 4-4-2 against the ball again tonight. We've always looked really solid like that. The manager hopefully sees this and implements it going forward.

Rangers were awesome in the first half and Dessers should have had a of couple of penalties. I'm coming to the conclusion I prefer McCausland to Cerny. Job done.

Well done Rangers! Yes, we should have scored a couple more but I'm much more interested in the positive performance which was largely well organised and tactically spot on. Can only hope players and fans take confidence from a dominant evening in Sweden. An ideal EL start!

I had considered this for my line up. But then I thought 'who comes on for Sterling when he gets injured'. I decided just to cut out the extra steps and start Fraser.

Also it's interesting to note that McCausland hasn't really put a foot wrong this season apart from being thrown in at Parkhead because Matondo shat it. He's been positive in every appearance but for some strange reason - Cerny being on a fat wedge more than likely - he just isn't being used from the start. He ended last season really well as well, strange management imo.

The game I watched for periods we were sloppy on the ball, gave possession away far too easily and conceded needless fouls. At the start of the 2nd half we couldn't get out our own half (as we couldn't keep hold of the ball). For large periods of 1st half we were sloppy, yet still created 2 great chances in the later stages of that half - that showed lack of composure and bravery. I said at halftime there were positives, mainly Tav and Dessers performances. Also said at full time that there were positives - praised the back 4 and said midfiled competed and Dessers held ball up and brought others into the game. it is possible to see the positives and the negatives - we've still a long, long way to go.

Thought we were excellent tonight! we hunted in packs, we looked very solid and dangerous on the break for a change. Hopefully a corner turned?.

Thinking after that game tonight, why have we been better suited to Europa League football in the last 4-5 years than we are to domestic (55 season apart)? We've taken on and beaten some really good teams, continually gotten to business end of the EL as well as the final.

Could have been 7-0, should have been 5-0 ... who would have predicted this? In the here and now, some feat. Hats off to the lads, safe journey home!
