Rangers often fills our lives with joy but can also bring disappointment. Those who lead our club understand that can yield criticism but that should be constructive and not personal. We shouldn't forget they love the club as much as you or I. All the best to John and his family.11 points

Might as well put Compo in charge. He may be able to raise temporary finance via Bet365.6 points

Bheasts goalless at HT at home to Jambos. Brave young referee gives an early booking to a bheasts for a poor tackle, and then a penalty to Hearts when Shanklands header from a corner hits the outstretched arm of Scales. A full 2 minutes of McGregor in his face, touching his arms, gesticulating, and clearly trying to influence the referee. When VAR does their usual and says in his ear “you don’t want the hassle mate, have another look” then this behaviour pays off as the referee goes to the monitor which is located right in amongst the bheasts fans who are all screaming at him, sees exactly what he seen when he gave the penalty, and bottles it and overturns the decision. I don’t think it’s paranoia to think that if this was at Ibrox, the penalty would stand because we would not spend that time trying to put doubt in the referees mind, and VAR may not see enough to suggest a review.5 points

Financial matters are seriously concerning. I suspect there may be a takeover in the wings. If there isn't I am even more concerned but also concerned if there is. Better the devil you know? Choppy waters indeed. It is time for us to get behind the team in a big way.4 points

I thought John Gilligan posted on here with the username 'Compo' ? Connection: biscuits 🕵🏽♀️4 points

It’s vital we get a good performance & a victory against Dundee Utd tomorrow. We must put the Celtic defeat behind us & go all out to show that the 3-0 defeat was not an accurate reflection on the game (they only had 5 or 6 shots on goal). Im still of the opinion we’re not good to win the league because of the situation at CB but hopefully we’ll silence a few of the mhedia tomorrow3 points

How fast times go. The last time I bought a CL package it was 50 quid in the Club Deck for the 3 games against Bayern, PSV and that cracking Valencia team. Seems a bargain now and considering the team we had it absolutely was.3 points

Hope Bennett gets well soon of course.2 points

Starting to get a bit worried about us heading for seriously rocky waters.2 points

Big Sean could be available soon to assist big Sam. Add big Warnock to the backroom staff and in no time flowing, silky goal-laden soccer. Probably not but at least the team wouldn’t get constantly turned over2 points

It's a perfect storm at the moment. We just need to weather it.2 points

That's compo out of the running, @buster.2 points

Health comes first and I have been critical of him as chairman his own well being is the most important thing for him and his family. I wish him the best. I hope we can go find a replacement worthy of our great club.2 points

Btw, I rate Dujon but round pegs in round holes...just play Fraser? If we're to back our academy then this is exactly when it can be utilised.2 points

Wishing John Bennett a speedy recovery. A true bluenose and a good man who hasn't hesitated for a moment to plough multi-millions of his own money to keep the club going forward after the disaster that we were. I hope the club remains in the hands of like minded people. It'll take a bit of fan patience for the foreseeable future, but I think we are in good hand with John Gilligan, another of the good men who saved us when we needed saving. The club needs our backing more than ever right now. Now let's hope the team give the Dundee HIVs a doing tomorrow for John.1 point

Very sad news. Thoughts and prayers are with John Bennett and his family.1 point

You didn't, but if it makes you feel better about yourself, fill your boots. You are going on ignore because stalking and stupidity are a toxic mix 😁1 point

I have an occasional look. Same as every other social media site really, certain words and phrases seem to catch on and the domino effect means everyone starts using them. 'Tin pot' is the worst one on FF. Barely a thread without it.1 point

Two points about my post. Both you have got completely wrong. 1. Nothing to do with turning up to football matches. Very few supports could match the loyalty shown in that regard. 2. The word 'toxic' was selected carefully and describes something that you don't seem to get. Must do better Especially when (stalking😁) shouting out like you do.1 point

What a calamity of a bloody season, as my old man just said it can only get better. I hope he is right.1 point

I wouldn’t dump Dyche on Celtic1 point

Nonsense. Been turning up in our droves for over a decade of what has largely been miserable football and hardly any success. The word 'toxic' is similar to 'literally', in that people just seem to fling it into every other sentence. Must be down to a lack of vocabulary or just mass language conformism.1 point

The Board of Rangers Football Club today announces Chairman, John Bennett, is stepping down with immediate effect for health reasons. [...] Former Director, John Gilligan, will temporarily fulfil the role of Chairman until a permanent replacement is appointed. https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/club-statement-john-bennett/1BDOptX7QMROTgzXJ2dNBr?preview=true1 point

Let's just throw in Gerrard returning rumour into the mix - the banter years have returned and we've gone back to full soap-opera mode.1 point

Just as well we have a constructive and united supporter group to help things along.1 point

Agreed - but the article says we are in no hurry to name a successor. That's the worrying / telling part for me.1 point

We don't have all the details but it is fair to say we have become a toxic binfire. If true, the manager won't be feeling as secure in his post. Edit. Sorry to hear about John Bennett's health issues. Hope he recovers as soon as possible.1 point

If the rumour / report of John Bennett about to resign is correct. It would seem as senior executive posts at the club aren't an attractive proposition for those in situ, either. We have become toxic and the fans have to take their share of the blame.1 point

Quite right but in all honesty, I think we'll need to hope a diddy team knock Celtc out of a cup because we certainly don't look like beating them anytime soon (and I feel nauseous saying that).1 point

The lad got a new deal, we lack a fit LW option and Clement has said he's committed to using the academy. It would make sense that he gets the nod. My Team: Butland Sterling Souttar Pröpper Fraser Barron Diomande Cerny Bajrami Jefte Dessers1 point

Danilo is not in the EL squad, so he's out for the duration (until early 2025). Hopefully he's back playing domestic football long before that....however, I won't hold my breath.1 point
