The fourth goal was beautifully crafted, a proper old fashioned Rangers goal. I’ve see it before. Caldow on his own goal line to Brand via two quick long passes and one carry and from Brand to the back of the net, the opposition only there to admire. Plenty other players have done it over the years but not in recent times.4 points

Smashing performance, I would say every player had pass marks, and it is lovely to see 2 goals for Dessers, 2 goals and 2 assists for Matondo, a goal and assist for Lawrence, an assist for Tav and a very emotional goal for Danilo. All players who could do with a confidence boost.4 points

We need more high scoring wins like yesterday for our goal difference. Too often we’re too content to see out 2-1 wins and the like3 points

Can you not just let me enjoy this result first? We'll be back to doom and gloom after next weekend...3 points

First thing I’d do is drop our captain he can’t handle it against them starts flapping and giving them the ball even if he isn’t under pressure put Sterling at right back.2 points

Rumour Mill at One. The BBC has sacked Jermaine Jenas because he sent inappropriate text messages to a fellow Auntie employee. Jenas admits the charge and accepts the chastisement. The rumour mill turns and apparently the specifics of inappropriate behaviour centre on a photograph of a dismembered member, a study in tumescence, a large veiny horror or definitively, the BIG Dick. There may be children viewing the forum thus I will refrain from posting said photograph of BBC Scotland's Richard Gordon.2 points

Lots of that yesterday was very good on the eye. Our pressing was much better and we hurt them in transitions. Quite a lot to build on and hopefully with one or two experienced signings this week and some of our injured players back we should be in a good place considering the scale of the rebuild. The icing on the cake will be to get back home.2 points

Some well worked goals. ..with comaraderee setting in. Relationships getting better. If we're not for from that lot in January it'll still be on.2 points

Dujon Sterling at CB made me laugh today. is there any position he can’t play ? 😀 Mind you if you’ve got a football brain & can read a game like he does I suppose that helps 🤓2 points

He always looks more like an artist in residence than a centre half.1 point

They're nae great shakes. Intae them. Hoping we have a Carlos bocanegra/Sotiris Kyrgiakos type signing beforehand!.1 point

Surely they paid a decent loan fee for him in addition to anything they are paying him. If he does well we can punt him on hopefully. To brum or otherwise.1 point

At least Everton have hit rock bottom early. Plenty time for recovery. Wolves are goners.1 point

Tav and Lawrence the historical weak links. If we're brave and proactive in the first 20 we'll get something out of it imo. If we concede a corner in the first 30 seconds then it's wraps.1 point

It's gone under the radar a wee bit but our line is pretty good I think. The offsides we get because of it is encouraging. Proactive and modern too.1 point

Yesterday gives us hope for next Sunday onward and upward.1 point

Enjoyed that today and some excellent performances. Dessers Matondo and Lawrence all very good. Good way to sign off (hopefully) at Hampden until the next semi final1 point

Our prospective xG was 3.81 for this game, whilst limiting County to 0.14. What is also pleasing was the quality of our chances. We usually always create more than our opponents but they are often poor quality chances, hence why we don't score much. We created a good few high quality chances.1 point

Yes with Dessers getting a redition of nice one cyriel.1 point

Even a draw at their place would have some of their entitled fans reaching for the pitchforks and torches.1 point

Dessers! What a player! I've always backed him even people were pointing out, correctly, that he was terrible.1 point
-
Of course it won't. Dessers could score a hat trick against Celtic and then misplace a pass in 90 minutes and there would be still people moaning.1 point

I said after the last game we were improving every game and I stick by it. Big Phil knows what he is doing. He is clearly building for sustained success and not a flash in the pan season. Just imagine how strong we will be once the young bears like Jefte, Barron, Fraser, McCausland and Diomande get some experience and time playing together. Plus we will keep adding wee bits of quality. WATP1 point

Just hope Dessers is still with us next weekend…1 point

Maybe...just maybe we need to give the manager time to do his job. And maybe give the players a break. And maybe give the new players time to settle in and not expect miracles after 10 minutes. Just saying...1 point

That's how it should be done. And it all the more frustrating when you see this, and then we produce dire garbage the other week. Alas, maybe we saw a glimpse of the future and forget the past. This defensive trio worked well, and was fully enough against this lot. Barron looked quite comfortable, Diomande well in control of much of the build-up play. While the Stags weren't that great, the link-up play of our attackers looked good, you wonder whether a more mobile player than Lawrence would have supported the striker better (though Lawrence took his goals well, far too often, Dessers was alone up there and missing people running into empty slots near him). Let's see how all shapes up till next weekend, with an ounce of luck, the Scumhut's coffers will be full of gold, but their strikers are elsewhere.1 point

Absolutely brilliant to get a +6 in the goal difference this early on.. something we need to do more often.1 point

We've geniunely been excellent. It's been awhile.1 point

That move ending with Jefte will have the manager chuffed I reckon. Control the game, control the tempo - move them around and then go through the gears at speed when you find an opening. It doesn't have to be at the ragged edge every time. Brilliant.1 point

Sterling and Matondo with a view for next week imo. But Lawrence seems nailed on in the 10 which gives me the absolute fear. It's Ross County first though, hopefully the lads put in a 90 minute performance for a bit of encouragement. C'mon Rangers!1 point

I'd love to see McCausland as a #10.1 point

The Rangers will win the league again. I just don’t know when. Another club, nowadays thought to be quite successful, went nineteen years after 1947 and only won the league once. That club barely concerned me other than twice a year and some cup ties. The Hibs and the Hearts were the big beasts in those days. Where are they now? Things change.1 point
