  1. Of course it won't. Dessers could score a hat trick against Celtic and then misplace a pass in 90 minutes and there would be still people moaning.

  2. Smashing performance, I would say every player had pass marks, and it is lovely to see 2 goals for Dessers, 2 goals and 2 assists for Matondo, a goal and assist for Lawrence, an assist for Tav and a very emotional goal for Danilo. All players who could do with a confidence boost.

  3. Enjoyed that today and some excellent performances. Dessers Matondo and Lawrence all very good. Good way to sign off (hopefully) at Hampden until the next semi final

  4. Yes, I have stupidly let their recent loss to Spartans, ongoing relegation prospects and their diddy club stature fool me into thinking they're rubbish. Silly me.

  6. Dessers! What a player! I've always backed him even people were pointing out, correctly, that he was terrible.

  7. Maybe...just maybe we need to give the manager time to do his job. And maybe give the players a break. And maybe give the new players time to settle in and not expect miracles after 10 minutes. Just saying...

  8. Absolutely brilliant to get a +6 in the goal difference this early on.. something we need to do more often.

  10. I’d be quite happy just to see him getting a game anyway MON THE GERS.

  11. Our prospective xG was 3.81 for this game, whilst limiting County to 0.14. What is also pleasing was the quality of our chances. We usually always create more than our opponents but they are often poor quality chances, hence why we don't score much. We created a good few high quality chances.

  12. I'm chuffed with the performance and the result. All I'm saying is let's not get carried away, particularly with the next fixture in mind.

  13. Not to get all statistical but at the end of the game I'll go through our chances and their xG value. We're creating really good chances close to goal. That's what it should always be about.

  14. That's what it's all about, Rabbi - skin your man, blooter it across the six-yard box. Simple.

  15. That move ending with Jefte will have the manager chuffed I reckon. Control the game, control the tempo - move them around and then go through the gears at speed when you find an opening. It doesn't have to be at the ragged edge every time. Brilliant.

  16. No, we need to start thumping teams and build confidence for bigger matches ahead.

  17. I like our structure (3-2-4-1), but a couple of personnel don't quite suit it, IMO. Tavernier could struggle as an inverted FB because he is not the best in tight spots and he likes the pitch in front of him, not back to goal. I don't care for Lawrence, but he has got an assist today. We just need to get better at our automatisms in playing through the thirds and exploit the wings more.

  19. Be thankful we're not facing Spartans who will no doubt have their dander up 😂

  20. Says who? We played him there when Tavernier wasn't fit or injured. His stats are pretty conclusive. As for Nsiala, he's played tons of games at Serie A youth and CL youth level last season, is 20 years old, i.e. as old as Jefte and Cortes, but a year younger than Fraser, Devine, McCausland and Igamane. He didn't look phased ion pre-season and I expect a youth player from Milan stepping into our team in a similar manner like on from Bayern. Just MHO.

  21. 5 CB’s? Souttar, Propper, Balogun…who else? Leon King no long considered a CB and the young lad we got from AC Milan not played a senior game yet. Add to that Souttar & Balogun are injury prone & I don’t think it’ll be too long before we get a CB crisis like we got 2 years ago under GvB.

  22. If the managers is saying Cantwell is refusing to play for the B team then should that not be considered as him breaching his contract? which would then entitle the club to at least fine him?.

  23. I thought he was going to Breast, feel like a tit now.

  24. His post looks like he is saying when he does well on the park he has our support but when not doing so well he feels the bad vibes from the stands. Maybe he is speaking for the team as we all know we are the worse support for moaning and groaning when the team is not playing to good and things don't go well on the park. To me the guy needs a constant arm around him and so what if he does, it's not a bad thing or a failing he just needs to know he's wanted, so guess he's not getting that from the current manager. I love the guy and want him playing again as his energy is sadly missing although it appears things are way past reconciliation with the transfer request.

  25. I have disliked Cantwell from day 1 but in this case I give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he’s making a comment in general. A team starts the season well with a couple of interesting new players and high-scoring victories and everybody wants to be there. A team starts unconvincingly with the same performers as the previous disappointing season and there are tickets to spare. On second thoughts I won’t give him the benefit of the doubt. It’ll be all about him.

  26. Could it be he's refusing to play though? I feel like somebody of that personality (assuming obviously) would be happy to refuse to play, or be a bad influence/disruptive and is therefore better kept away from others
