It seems Aris will be paying an inflated fee to us rather than pay the player a high wage and bust the wage structure they have. This will offset the contribution we put towards the wage.3 points

Also me 1 minute after the game ends tomorrow...3 points

Yes and if by some mischance we do happen to sell him we'd better find somebody pretty damned quick who can guarantee 20 plus goals a season not inc. penalties and stay fit. Good luck with that.3 points

Why continually pick him as an unused sub? If he isn't fit, don't pick him. If he needs match fitness play him in B Team.2 points

Ironic that some players will be given the task of progressing to the next stage in the knowledge that by so doing they’ll be funding their replacements.2 points

I'm hoping Hagi, Cantwell and one or two others will be sold any minute.2 points

Nothing will happen until we know the outcome of the game tomorrow night.......... Or at least thats what I'm telling myself to help deal with the desperation2 points

I can remember Chris Sutton doing well at rovers and back in the 60s they had Bryan Douglas an excellent winger2 points

Positives were a largely very good first hour but with two sloppy moments: one with Propper early doors, then the concession of their goal which really was dreadful across the team. After Cerny and Lawrence went off though, we really struggled to keep the ball and we're positionally very bad at times with Sterling, Dio and Barron all posted missing at key moments. Baloguns's passing was awful and too many others were the same which allowed Motherwell the chance to create some momentum. All things considered it was better but we're still very short of quality in a general sense.2 points

I'd rather stick with Dessers if it was between him and Shankland.2 points

And now for something completely different ... PRÖPPER ... these nice German Umlaute can be transcribed rather easily. By default, you just add an e, so if your keyboard lacks the letter, it would be ö -> oe ä -> ae ü -> ue ... and Pröpper's ö would be pronounced like the first "er" in Herbert. And lo and behold, the day was already worth it!2 points

These questions are why Clement and Koppen are paid good salaries. All hypothetical anyway.1 point

This. Psychological management is every bit as important as physiological. I recall us doing similar with Durrant many years ago.1 point

Yeah, I used it. All the QR codes are the same so you just need to make sure the reader sees one of them. I zoomed in on one but you don't want to make it too big.1 point

He's coming back from a terrible injury and Clement is sensibly managing him accordingly. From what I've read, he might never fully recover.1 point

His finishing aside it was his overall play that frustrated me most last season. He didn't hold the ball up well, he was slow in a sprint and didn't win his fair share of headers. This season, albeit it's early, I think his overall game has improved. With hindsight I also think the fact that, Tav aside, no one else was scoring regularly last season meant more focus fell on Desssers. If our other attacking players and midfielders had chipped in with more goals Desser's might have been appreciated more.1 point

Cifuentes loan with obligation to buy looks likely to be sealed soon. We are paying a % of his wages this season but worth it as we'll receive a fee for him. Cantwell is back training with the 1st squad after being relegated to B Team. Anyone's guess what that means regarding his short-term future. Hagi said himself that he is only on his 2nd week of pre-season so miles behind. Played for B Team at weekend and scored a hat-trick. Unsure if the interest in him is real or just a figment of his agents imagination. Only time will tell what will happen with Cantwell and Hagi - still leaves players like Davies, Tav, Ridvan, Lawrence, Dowell, Matondo, Wright etc that we could be doing with moving on / replacing.1 point

I'd hope the £4m payment for getting to the CL play-off would make a difference too - there are three scenarios (CL, EL with £4m and EL), rather than just two. We still need to get players out though, regardless.1 point

Given our lack of clear cut chances and some dodgy defending against a poor Motherwell side, we'll have to hope for improvements all over the park.1 point

From what I've seen, pressing and direct wing play. My point was that Dessers is mostly just a penalty box striker. Not a bad thing in itself, but I think we would perform better as a team with a forward that has a different skillset, like leading a press and facilitating wing play with linkup play and clever movement.1 point

You've made two points around loss. An 800k loss is better than a £5m loss. I did concede it would be a risk. I think we could replace him, though; with someone more suited to the way we want to play.1 point

Your willing to take a loss on your top goalscorer with no guarantee we are going to replace him or his goals? That's utter madness. All players have a price but we can't be selling our top scorer (and our only regular scorer) for a loss.1 point

The transfer of Jose Anthony Cifuentes, for Mars, is in its final stages The midfielder from Ecuador is expected to be in Thessaloniki on Monday (12/08), to pass the medical tests and sign his new contract Aris are moving on several transfer fronts, with Jose Anthony Cifuentes' one seemingly ready to close The midfielder from Ecuador is expected to be in Thessaloniki on Monday (12/08) to pass the medical tests and sign his new contract It should be recalled that the agreement with Rangers provides for a one-year loan, with a mandatory purchase option for next summer of €5 million euro! Last season he played for the Scots and Cruzeiro on loan, making a total of 32 appearances without scoring a goal BEWARE OF GREEKS BEARING GIFTS1 point

Btw, there isn't a football team on this planet nor has there ever been one which is excellent for 90 minutes week in week out. Guardiola didn't even have that with his Barcelona team. If we are excellent for long periods in a game, this time being 30 minutes for instance, and can manage the game for the rest of it we will probably win the league. Now we SHOULD strive for 90 minute performances every week, but realistically the team would be buggered by December. Even during '55 we were superb for the first half of the season and then took the foot off the gas a wee bit the second half. I'm pretty happy with today, we got the win, no injuries and can put everything into midweek.1 point

After a decent 1st half, we ended up hanging on against a Morherwell team ravaged by injuries. 1st win of season, Barron was outstanding, Cerny looks a player, Propper had an eventful debut, Dessers scores again. Ridvan and Tav remain weak links in the team. So much breaks down with them due to their lack of final ball. Also both posted missing defensively.1 point

I personally think he gets a bit OTT criticism! yet agree with the reason he gets that! if that makes sense?. I love his work rate, he never gives up so I'm hoping everything clicks for him this season as I'm sure all Rangers fans do.1 point
