  1. Yesterday at Tynecastle, once again a three-four grouping of Rangers supporters displayed a blue banner with a white cross proclaiming, 'No Surrender'. The four quarters had a Rangers crest, a death head's symbol with inter-city pupils, the number 936(Inter-City Firm) and, a Mussolini quote, "expand or perish". From memory, I believe this is the third occasion that such a flag containing stated symbolism has appeared in our away support? I am sure those displaying will attempt to articulate a homage to a forty-odd year old casual gang - the Inter-City Firm; however, the flag is a disgrace. I would urge the Club to condemn the flag and unequivocally state there is no place for such symbolism among our support. What is the motivation for unfurling a banner containing the Rangers crest and the cap badge of Heinrich Himmler and his dedicated SS Panzer Division? Self Policing Loyal RSC.

  2. Malangsob, I guess your culture is different. We have a long and proud tradition of remembrance, indeed many fans have grand and great grandparents who fought the fascists. We can't be having Mussolini type nonsense here, that's duplicity in the extreme.

  3. I'm hearing rumours that Shankland was at the Rangers game on Saturday. Make of that what you will...

  4. Not the first time this banner has been displayed at Rangers games but should be the last. Given it was Tynecastle with an allocation of 650, it shouldn't be hard tracing the owners of the flag and serve them with a lifetime ban.

  6. Compo starts a thread about Barron, comparing him to John Greig, and suggesting he is made captain...then precedes to be the only one to vote for Souttar 🤣.

  7. Is there a reason Hagi can’t be utilised? just seems to me that a player who played for his country at euro24 might have something to offer us at the moment

  9. Agree 100%. As much as this is disappointing, I'm not surprised. You could not pay me to go to Rangers away game these days. My last away day was at Easter Road during Gerrards time. I met an old mate from Edinburgh. I was excited to see my team but after listening to 40 minutes of shite about Bobby Sands, I'd had enough. I genuinely love my team but why would I want to spend my hard earned cash standing beside guys that are so filled with hatred and aggression. Hearing a replay of the Bobby Sands shite during our recent friendly vs Berlin was beyond depressing to say the least.

  10. Having seen the two possible replacements mentioned in this thread, I am now firmly back in the 'give Clement time' camp!

  11. I don't know what you are implying I called correctly. For avoidance of doubt the flag was taken to the game by a Rangers fan, it shouldn't be difficult to identify and ban them. No place for this symbol and / or "quote" at Rangers games (home or away). For a support and club who are and have been linked with OUR armed forces and unwavering in its support of our armed forces, its a slap in the face for those who served and those who continue to serve.

  13. It’s not. The peculiar fetish for nazi regalia started decades ago, long before Ukraine entered the news programmes. The majority of users have little notion of the significance other than to think it’s pretty cool. A Prince of the realm dolled himself up in it. Luckily you’ve got him now.

  14. Lifted from FF: I know it's a new season and that, but this record is embarrassing, and not surprising to see it continue given it's the exact same team we are putting out Motherwell (LG) L Benfica (EL) D Hibs (SC) W Benfica (EL) L Hibs (LG) W Celtic (LG) D Ross County (LG) L Dundee (LG) D Hearts (SC) W St Mirren (LG) W Kilmarnock (LG) W Celtic (LG) L Dundee (LG) W Hearts (LG) D Celtic (SC) L Hearts (LG) D

  15. Watching the Dundee derby and it looks like Goodwin has brought in another couple of decent North Macedonians (he brought Miovski to Aberdeen). The two of them have been involved in some decent attacking play and goals. I keep saying it but the Balkans is a fertile ground for good talent and we should be looking there.

  16. Watching young lad yesterday had my old mind wandering back to the early sixties and one John Greig I see a similarity in them and would make him captain today .

  17. Maybe we should change our style of play then. Playing 2 wide men up front who continue to contribute very little needs looked at

  20. I'm more embarrassed about the drum, if I'm honest. Yesterday's match sounded like one of those daft 80s movies set in deepest Africa, at certain points. The flag is a bit like half and half scarves, except it's a Rangers ICF/Chelsea Headhunters combo.

  22. Still NO PLACE for it at Rangers games. Bet the "fans" that own the flag join in with "10 German Bombers".......

  23. If we going to persist with 2 wide men up front as we did yesterday then they’ve got to contribute a lot more than Cortes, Wright did and also Cerny and Matondo when they came on. I’m still convinced Hagi on the RHS MF is our best option just now

  27. Not to sound like Roy Keane but it was just nice to see a player full of desire and tenacity. Which tells you how starved we've been of it. I've half a mind that Cortés didn't fancy it all that much and the defence just kept backing off and backing off. Proactivism in football is a mindset, sadly we lack it bar the wee man we signed from *checks notes* Aberdeen.

  28. No shock tbf I'd be shagged after playing infront of that defence and a no 10 who isn't mobile.

  29. I went for Barron. It was between him or Butland for keeping them at bay and keeping the 0. Gave it to the young lad for a more than decent performance on his debut considering he was playing infront of a panicked defence and behind a no 10 that can't/won't put in the yards. Graveyard shift for the boy really, gets my vote.

  33. I get that but he was carrying an injury so hopefully he'll be available soon. His inclusion in the first Euro squad suggests that this may be the case as we can make changes further down the line.

  34. I'm hoping our scouting Intel suggests that Igamane was worth the 1.5 outlay. If we can move him on for more money in the future then it will look like a shrewd move. Clement has suggested such in some recent interviews retarding transfers. Obviously this is all dependent on him doing well.

  35. That'll be hard, we don't play in the Lowland League anymore. Maybe we should concentrate and get tough on the players who no longer want to play for the club 🤔 Davies isn't good enough and he certainly isn't alone in that category but it's extremely difficult to move contracted players on (we require a buyer and a willingness to leave). Agree with Igamane - I hope the lad becomes a star but given our financial state was it wise spending £1.5M on a player who hasn't been seen since the day he signed? As a consequence we go into the season with 1 fit striker.

  36. Missed large chunks of the second half (due to plumbing emergency) but from what I saw it seems we have a choice to make. Are we going to go with a flat 3 in the middle (with a 6) or are we going to persist with the 10. Our supposed interest in Jordan/Hannibal/McLean suggests a flat 3? Either way we need to boss that area of the pitch. Our lack of control there is frustrating which is then is further compounded by us going long too many times. It was hard to watch. On a side note...I see some comments about lack of a tangible style etc. It's worth noting that Slott has already got Liverpool playing in a different manner with their fans raving about how they've set up...

  37. Still can’t believe Hearts had better options off the bench than us yesterday. It’s going to be a long season. The likes of Nsiala and Ignamane are no where to be seen. We really need to be hard with trash like Ben Davies and force him out the club. Guy looks like a vegan HR worker not a centre half in the SPFL. Get him in every day 10-6 make him run all day and make him go to places like Bo’ness with the B team but don’t play him just make him stand in the rain and watch. But then he’d probably enjoy it. If he wasn’t a professional footballer he’d probably be some goth listening to my chemical romance and watching manga anime.

  38. Every time I hear calls for someone to be sacked, I always ask: who would want and take the job? We got lucky with Clemente but next time I can't see too many contenders, especially if we get pumped out of Europe.

  40. Missed a sitter from Tavs (he was the taker of the corner, so justification of mention) brilliant in-swinging corner in 2nd half
