  1. Its not uncommon for a club to continue to play a player the difference in wages when they leave if he takes a drop in wages. For example if he moves from 20k per week to 15k per week elsewhere we continue to pay him 5k per week for the duration of his contract. The player and agent would also get sign on fees etc from the new club. All is not lost its just a bit of cat and mouse playing out and I reckon he will be gone by the time the window 'slams shut'.

  2. He's clearly not part of Clement's plans, that's why he's with the B team. I understand it's mutual, Lammers wants to leave, for whatever reasons he didn't settle in Scotland or at Rangers. It's best for everyone that he moves on. He might need to accept a drop in salary for that too happen, so a lot will depend on the player himself. I suspect this will drag on until the last minute as interested clubs wait to see if we blink and agree to cover some of his salary and we wait and see if the clubs who want him blink and agree to pay him closer to what he's on with us. Whatever stats might say he's been a really poor signing for us. Not every player is capable of playing for Rangers, often that's not to do with footballing ability. Lammers falls into this category.

  3. Andy Webster? The Andy Webster who we went to all sorts of hassle to sign and then never played, that Andy Webster? Hope lad takes after his mother. Last I heard Webster was involved in the Hearts youth academy.

  4. There were some suggestions Raskin was actually fine after the weekend - just some bruising more than anything else. Not had that confirmed.

  5. According to Alan Pattullo of the Scotsman. (I think he’s Aberdeen but doesn’t mind the celtic) Here’s his top ten from 1974 to date. 10 Bremner 09 Gough (pleasant surprise) 08 Leighton (Whit! Goram’s 31, Harvey (Leeds) is. 32 and Gordon is 39) 07 Jordan 06 Strachan 05 McQueen 04 Robertson, Liverpool (Jings) 03 McGrain (No quarrel with DMcG but shift him down a place, get rid of Robertson and bring Jardine up from a ridiculous 11. 02 Souness 01 Dalgleish. Nicholas is 49. Hansen is 47. celtic McGregor is 40. celtic Boyd is 30. (crivvens) Jimmy Johnstone is 26. (top ten, surely) McTominay is 25. (speechless) Cooper is 19.(what can you say?) Tierney is 18. (some mistake, surely) Bazza is 16. Fletcher is 15. (jings crivvens) McCoist is 13. Law is 12. (top three beyond doubt) John Greig is not listed

  6. I’m told we’ve still no interest in Shankland but I wonder if that might change as he enters the final year of his contract at hertz

  7. I'd hand Lammers the number nine shirt at Murryfield on Saturday and say to him go on son make a name for yourself

  8. As much as I'm not a fan of what I've seen from lammers, it's pretty clear that if he is utilised correctly then he can do a good job. If we aren't able to sell him then we will have to use him, but there is no point playing him out of position, unless we want to destroy any chance of selling him in the future.

  9. Rangers should replace 'Ready' with 'Not Yet Confirmed'. The CIA are less cryptic. Since Cryptic FC divulge less than the CIA we have to look at the clues. Crutches and compression cast after the game. Not indicative of bruising more of joint swelling. My money is on high ankle sprain. Swelling should have subsided enough by now to permit MRI or some other form of 'scan', if required. Fingers crossed. 6-8 weeks.

  12. He’s number 22. Google Scotsman Pattullo top fifty and you’ll get the full list. Be surprised.

  13. Sima’s going into the last season of his Brighton contract. If he’s not signing a new one with them they’ll want to sell him

  14. Things can change fast during the transfer window but it certainly looks pretty grim, as it stands.

  15. I've never felt so pessimistic about the start to a season. And I'm normally a glass half-full type.

  17. Agree about Cucurella - thought he was fantastic in attack and defence. But Ruis had a much better tournament than Bellingham who was not as effective as he was for Real Madrid.
