  1. You know you're in too deep when you start getting the jitters for a pre season game in the Netherlands.

  3. 2 good saves! Deserved a draw but I won't be happy if that is our squad to start the season.

  4. That's not the managers fault btw - if he's gets no first team signings, then what hope has he got?

  6. Excerpt from article in The Daily Record: Philippe Clement admits he’ll have to offload some of his first-team stars before he can press ahead with his Rangers rebuild, writes Andy Newport in Venlo. The Belgian boss has so far brought in five new faces this summer. But he knows a lot more are needed if his side are to mount a credible title bid and fulfil their Champions League ambitions. Further additions, however, are dependent on the club raising funds through sales. “That’s the reality,” he confessed. “That’s the reality that the board told me a few months ago. I know this, the recruitment team knows this also. This is the reality of the club. I had other expectations when I came in in October, I have to say. But I know the reality now. I am very motivated to build the club and help in that.” ---------------- That sounds ominous to me. He is more or less calling the board out for misleading him. Omnishambles + Ominous = ??

  7. Being reported that Raskin left stadium today with his foot in a protective boot. New season, same old story.....

  8. All in all, a good work-out. Good shift by all players, even though some did better than others. The last 5 mins apart, Ajax never really threatened Kelly, when called upon, showed his class. Excellent saves. Wright a bit unlucky with his shots. Someone needs to water Barron, he's smaller than Ridvan!

  9. Butland’s form was a worry towards the end of last season. Hopefully today not a continuation

  10. Aye I'd add Jefte to that. Diomande still looks like the only player who can turn and pass forward when under pressure.

  11. Don't think you are being too negative; I know Ajax are way ahead in prep. but I cannot see any shape. Matondo and Diomande only ones to get pass marks for me so far.

  12. I don't particularly see any new cohesion or plan, just the same shite different season. Hoping against hope it's just that the lads are knackered - but if Goldson and Davies are our starting CB's then I don't think Clement will see November. Sorry for the negativity.

  15. Still paying Beale’s wages for a couple of years? I thought if we sacked a manager with under one years service he got no compensation . Same with GvB.

  16. "...a lot..." One would have been a start. I could get on the happy clappers bus who believe that clubs are queuing up to bid 7M for Goldson. That we are in a position to demand top dollar for our players. Players with lucrative contracts who will happily run out the door for less. Clement has repeatedly made the point of how important the pre season is wrt to players fitness and resistance to picking up injuries. It would have been good to have most of the players in prior to the pre season, especially the more experienced (more mileage in the legs). That is real. You not liking it is your opinion but doesn't add anything.

  17. Heart and Hand: The Journey Ahead Yesterday Over the last few years, Rangers fans have got into the habit - or rather, Rangers have made the fans get into the habit - of being relieved that the season is over. After uninspiring performances, painful losses in big matches and many an off-field nonsense, the break has almost come to feel like a burden being lifted. The beckoning summer offers a chance to rebuild, to replenish lost energies and gear up for the next season's battles. This year, though, something feels different - and not in a good way.
