I'm positive about our current playing staff, it's early yet but we've signed a lot of potential, just need a few more experienced players and we'll be in a decent position. I'm sure we'll see some of the dead wood moved on, nothing much happens with this til late on in the window every year. We also have a manager who has earned the right to build a squad and a playing style, that I'm sure will bring success. We need to trust in someone, and get into a position where we're strengthening every year by adding 2 or 3, not having a clearout every time. In terms of the stadium delays, it's not great, but show me any big infrastructure project that's on time. It doesn't happen, and it's nothing to do with low quality steel, the supply chain for materials is an absolute nightmare these days, there's a huge shortage of good project Engineers and Managers too. The situations lies firmly at the feet of previous boards, who let the stadium maintenance drift. I'm an optimist, partly by choice, as it's a nicer world to live in. Yes it means I get disappointed a lot more than a pessimist, but I bounce back quickly. Mon the Rangers.4 points

The minutes from the Fan Advisory Board's meeting with the club have just been released. This meeting was 3 days before the club announced the issue with the stadium. Stadium Upgrades The club shared that The Director of Operations and Venue is working with the Facilities team and the main contractor. Elements of the project are out with our control, and we are working to make sure we have contingencies in place. Everything is going according to plan, at the minute. The FAB asked about the WhatsApp rumours (i.e. Ibrox unlikely to be ready for the start of the new season) and if there are contingencies in place to play elsewhere if something goes wrong. The club responded regarding several options including other Scottish Stadia were being explored. Everything is on the table and being considered. The club finished by stating that the project was a piece that was ever moving but the club are on top of that. The club have since released a public statement updating supporters on the project, linked below: Link to Rangers Statement: Supporter Update 20/06/24 Prior to the statement's release, the club reached out to the FAB to inform them of the planned communication. The club has committed to arranging a meeting with the FAB to maintain open dialogue and consider any concerns regarding the project's impact. It seems that the WhatsApp rumours had more information than the club....or the FAB were lied to. The wording suggests the latter.3 points

Sadly, I suspect that was deliberately upsetting/provocative.2 points

The Rangers fans want instant success a wee run of bad results and they will turn on him then the board will panic and then it’s back to square one yes I say stick with him Mon the gers.2 points

If the board were wanting to leak information through the press, they're much more likely to use the Rangers Review than Keith Jackson.2 points

I think I read they'll be playing there when it's compliant with regulations, which will be this season but not at the start. Although not 100% sure about that.1 point

Highly unsatisfactory. From the Minute: “The club finished by stating that the project was a piece that was ever moving but the club are on top of that.” What waffle. They should have said there was a problem with materials supply outwith their control which might resolve itself but in the meantime contingency plans were in hand. Simples.1 point

Unfortunately not one of the duffers.1 point

You never know, but I suspect it will be cut-price deals and pay-offs to get some of them off the books.1 point

This is very true. I have a feeling we are just going to have to suck it up and use many of these guys best we can. Hagi for example if there is no interest in him just use him. The likes of Matondo and Ben Davies are just going to have to be endured for the next 2 years. playing a few fleeting minutes while enjoying the ambiance of our treatment room. A harsh lesson learned.1 point

The thing with players under contract who haven't lived up to expectations, is that other teams can see this too. It affects both the price we can charge to move them on, and potentially the wages they can attract when they do. In short, we need to wait till the end of the transfer window before assessing the squad fully. That said, this pre-season I've deliberately avoided getting too invested in any of the new signings. I wish them all well, but it wont be until we see how they perform and handle the expectation/standards the fans will demand till we can form an accurate judgement. Lammers would seem to be the case in point here - arguably one of our most exciting signings last summer, showed up well in pre-season, but he just couldn't manage to string his laces, never mind consistent performance levels together. At least until he moved home to a club where he was under far less pressure.1 point

The one thing I see as a major positive is that we have a decent manager. I have repeatedly said that we need to be realistic and give him time. If that is a transitional season without any tangible success, so be it. As long as you see younger players bedding in and improving. Many say it isn't realistic to expect such patience.1 point

Remember the summer (Wednes)days of going to the newsagent at Haymarket station and buying a Rangers News. Then looking at the pictures of Jardine, McLean, Johnstone and MacDonald running in pre-season. An article about how Davie Cooper had played tennis throughout the summer and was ready to hit the ground running.1 point

"...a lot..." One would have been a start. I could get on the happy clappers bus who believe that clubs are queuing up to bid 7M for Goldson. That we are in a position to demand top dollar for our players. Players with lucrative contracts who will happily run out the door for less. Clement has repeatedly made the point of how important the pre season is wrt to players fitness and resistance to picking up injuries. It would have been good to have most of the players in prior to the pre season, especially the more experienced (more mileage in the legs). That is real. You not liking it is your opinion but doesn't add anything.1 point

Looking through the photos on the website I struggled to know who most of them are.🙄1 point

Off to the summer training camp and we are no way near where we need to be regards transfer business, both in and out. I guess we need to shift players before we can bring more in. Given that we are somewhat desperate it won't be easy to get decent money for any of them. Our business will be like a combined visit to Poundstretcher and William Hills. Then a couple of months down the line, the off licence.1 point

Must admit I have no clue what our new line-up will be. Come on Rousseau give one of your predicted first team formations!1 point

The Kabadayi one is a prime example of the nonsense spouted by the mhedia. Without a shred of evidence that we were really interested in buying this guy, no confirmation from selling club of a bid, nothing from our side either, just all made up and speculation, then when they are all proven wrong and the player joins a different club, they lead with "Rangers miss out on..." instead of we were wrong.1 point
