  1. Also no tattoos seemingly, which I like. Idk if that's an old da shout or what but.

  3. Rumours of an issue regarding the steel have been doing the rounds for weeks. Today I took part in a meeting at Ibrox via Teams and was told that "everything was on schedule", the meeting ended at 1pm, 2pm statement released confirming delay. We are an omnishambles.

  6. You've obviously not studied the Rangers player trading manual enough. Only 20 year olds with astronomical sell on value. 😉 .

  7. If we can coach the lad and get him to the level Jacko was at his best (with better availability) then we're laughing, especially for a nominal fee. Really pleased with this one ngl.

  8. The stats suggest he's a solid, safe passer, and combative. He doesn't get robbed and doesn't give the ball away, and has a lot of touches. He takes a lot of long balls to release runners. He doesn't create much or get on the end of things but is good defensively: high in both ground and aerial duels won, high in recoveries and high in interceptions. He's only 21 and Scottish. He fits into the two central midfield positions PC likes. Clever signing.

  9. IMO England and France have the two best squads in the tournament but have awfully over cautious managers.

  10. Brilliant, sensible business. I like that Koppen says young Scottish talent will be important in our recruitment over the next few years. Great stuff.

  11. He has suggested there'll be a few transfers in the next few days - some of whom will be strikers.

  12. Nothing sums him up more that doing his hamstring getting turned inside out. A vastly overrated player who will hang up his boots not long after he hits 30.

  13. Considering they haven't spent anything since the takeover I'd say its unlikely. American groups are buying football clubs not to invest in them but because they are a good investment (Inter Milan just been bought over by one). If Aberdeen would accept £3.5 Million for Miovski we should be all over that.

  14. Far be it for me to stick up for The Sun but Birmingham City were taken over last year by by an American group who seem to have more money than sense. Their drop to League 1 is unlikely to prevent them from buying players from Aberdeen. Aberdeen on the other hand have been operating at a significant loss for a few years, this has been offset by player sales, but even then they've still lost over £3 million over the last 3 seasons. The season just finished, despite Conference League group football, is unlikely to have improved much as they, once again, went through 3 managers and finished 11th in the league. Wanting £7 million is fine but I suspect they'd accept half that.

  16. I am sitting in a bar in Sanxenxo, Galicia. The disinterested Spaniards are animated about Ralston's wayward pass into space and, the resulting Shaqiri strike into the top corner for the Switzerland equaliser. I inform them that Anthony has started six games furra Sellik last season and the collective perceived wisdom is that it would have been better if he had started seven. Angus Gunn has come in for criticism too. I suggested we should change at half time, Gunn to right back and Ralston in goal?

  18. I can't believe England have stuck with Southgate for so long. All managers have their 'favourites' but he takes it to extremes and despite having several really good players, they're shite to watch.

  21. The one thing I don’t want to hear about Barron is we have to bed him in if he’s good enough he’s old enough there’s young lads playing at a lot higher level than our Mickey Mouse league .

  22. I recall in the run in a lot of talk online of the driver for Aberdeens uptick in form was Barron being brought back in. I'll include his ratings for the split, it's pretty consistent and backs it up:

  23. From what I've heard, Rangers and Aberdeen have a very decent relationship at board level. Not that Aberdeen fans will want to hear that.

  24. I reckon there is plant and supporting scaffolding in place that would render the use of the field and other areas a no go.

  26. In this day and age no surprise a total shambles hopefully club will refund/credit ST holders who are not able to get to alternative venues. That's what happens when getting stuff from a war zone type continent. I think heads should roll as to whoever gave the commitment from the club.

  27. Well, there's a surprise.......... Hearing the project is over budget as well as behind schedule.

  30. I'm not sure I believe that although that perception serves the Aberdeen board well with the support.

  31. You do realise this is Aberdeen we're talking about. A player they'd sell to Birmingham City for £3.5m would cost us £5m.

  34. Can’t believe we overlooked Ronnie MacKinnon, Prince of centre halves. Not the physical giant that Geordie Young was nor did he appear granite-hard like Willie Woodburn but nobody ran through him. Here he is follow-following his captain.
