Former Scottish FA performance director Mark Wotte believes reported Rangers target Hamza Igamane, 21, of AS FAR, would not be overawed by the Scottish top flight. (Record) Rangers want a fee of £5m if they are to sell Tom Lawrence, 30, this summer. (Football Insider) Swansea City's hopes of signing free agent Connor Barron, 21, seem to be fading as Rangers step up their interest in the former Aberdeen midfielder. (Wales Online) Connor Barron meanwhile has a number of interested parties including clubs down in England as well as in Serie A. Gers were believed to be leading the chase for the former Aberdeen midfielder before other suitors emerged but now it's claimed the club have put fresh contract terms in front of the player. Dons would be expecting around £525,000 in training compensation should he move outside of Scottish football. One name mentioned has been Hamza Igamane of FAR Rabat and the Moroccan under-23 striker is reportedly close to being announced as their newest acquisition on a £1.7million deal. The player is seen as one of the country's most talented youngsters and only a medical is still to be completed. Another striker, Albion Rrahmani is still on their list and a source in Romania has told Football Scotland that Gers can consider themselves in pole position to land the Rapid Bucharest star. Club chief insisted, though, that one offer currently lodged for the player is not acceptable. Rapid are in no rush to sell the 23-year-old, who they signed for a bargain £500k from Ballkani last year. It's said that Rapid will demand between £5-6million for their star man but supremo Moldovan has confirmed that they've booted out a bid from an unnamed team for the hotshot. Wee sidenote: it could well be that we have a few European Championship players on our target list, e.g. Liam Kelly, but will only approach them or any deal after their teams have left the tournament.2 points

Conditions playing a part @compo, it's been bucketing down all game by the looks of it. Great tournament so far. I'd like to see a 'smaller' nation reach the semi's tbh. England preferably 😉1 point

It's pretty baffling at this stage. The wee man might end up getting something else, at this rate and that means one less sale and one less kid in a Rangers top.1 point

I still like those with the RFC and Rangers background most ... the badge should be over the heart though.1 point

Slick but careless. Austria not bad at all. From the games I’ve seen there’s only one really poor team in the tournament.1 point

I always seem to do okay with results but I'm awful at guessing correct scorelines. Doesn't help when Mbappe misses a complete sitter (I had France to win 2-0).1 point

I would like us to (re)sign Gregor Stevens. Now I know Gregor must be pushing 68-69, he was a couple of years ahead of me at Fir Park Boys Club during the mid seventies. He was a tough tackling, ball winning, no nonsense Centre half who when time allowed, got his head up and played passes. Gregor was never far away from red mist syndrome, even in training. This effecting his timing and to compensate he utilised both feet, studs up in his frequent red mist tackles. Gregor hit you, you stayed tackled for about a month. The reason I think Gregor would be a worthy signing is that Scottish Referees are okay with players exhibiting red mist syndrome and, fellow professionals queue up to parrot, "he's NOT that type of player". I witnessed Ryan Porteous being red carded on three separate occasions in games against Rangers, three less than he deserved. Fellow professionals and pundits(particularly at BBC Scotland) chorussed, "he's NOT that type of player". As long as Gregor is not awarded a Scottish international cap and the red mist strikes. I note Callum McGregor has exonerated Ryan's challenge against Germany, "what else could he do"? I think the time has arrived for Gregor and his particular red mistism. We are more tolerant of all folks these days, especially if you have an 'ism'. Give Gregor the gig.1 point
