There aren't that many performers who can sell out a stadium gig, Compo. This summer only Pink, Green Day and Taylor Swift are performing stadium tours with Scottish dates. Springsteen didn't come to Scotland this year and AC/DC are only playing Wembley. That's your stadium artists for 2024. There are only around dozen, maybe 20 performers who can tour with stadium sized venues on their schedule. Scotland's not a big market and there are 3 stadiums, including Ibrox, vying for them. The other two have the advantage of not hosting sport every other weekend, so can offer more flexibility around dates. You can criticise the Ibrox management about a number things, but I'm not sure this is one of them.4 points

Aye I've been meaning to say this for awhile - too many people run their mouths and are seemingly ITK about our dealings. We will never disclose the transfer fee yet we see them coming months down the line - I'd rather that be the other way round. Jefte and Cordoba were way too public for my liking. A few chancers in and around the club methinks.3 points

The German word for "friendly", literally "test game". BTW, we watched a few Rangers games this season ... on screen though. Union had sort of a bad season, mainly due to bad decisions on player transfers. They have a new manager now, but as per usual, they will be just back from the summer break too. It depends on the demand for these games whether tickets will be available to the public, Die Alte Försterei ain't that big. No tickets are on sale just yet.3 points

Both Dowell and Lawrence are luxury players. Great to have in a team, quality no doubt. Yet, more often than not, you don't need a Rolls-Royce on a Highland moor. It's good to throw them on mid-2nd-half when teams are beaten and they can pick passes and destroy the opposition further. I also like Lawrence's will and ability to shoot from outside the box. But we first have to break down teams, and I'm not sure that they are the best choices for this. The physicality of the Scottish game and intensity of an OF fight was clearly not something they were used to and look able to adapt to. That said, I am not sure whether we utilized their abilities to the best outcome, just shoe-horning players into a system that hardly worked for years.2 points

I like the fact there's very little coming out in the 'news' outlets regarding our dealings, Gerrard had this down to a tee, they knew fuck all til the deal was done.2 points

A hardy lad by the look of him. The trouble with hardy lads who sign for Rangers is that refs go after them. Hardy lads in celtic teams are ushered calmly through the ninety minutes.1 point

Aye I'd like a Galdames or Souttar to come in as a senior LCB though. Pleased to have the bulk of the signings be young but one or two experienced players would be good (doesn't mean old!).1 point

Looks like an aggressive, front-foot centre-back. That's all of our three signings only 20-years-old. No messing about from Koppen.1 point

I always thought/hoped we'd sign Berghuis under Gio... Looks like there is some tentative efforts to gauge opinion on removing Tav. Not sure we'll get £5-7m for him (and I don't see Goldson moving in this window due to his injury) but I'd fancy Tav's stock is still high enough across more wasteful parts of second tier football (e.g. Turkey and Saudi) for interest to be fairly genuine. As an aside, for all his efforts across various roles in the team last season, I think Sterling would still be best at right back actually.1 point

Watching the Scotland team depart and then arrive in Germany I couldn’t help notice Shellik tops in the crowd. Have they ditched the ROI and now all support Scotland? ( or have the real Irish chased them? )1 point

Restless Natives. My balcony of choice this summer is situated in the corner of Spain. Galicia's charms are all encompassing but, mostly ignored by Spaniards. Of course, the country is a loose coalition of waring tribes, most Castilians, Catalans, Andalusians, Basques, ....... etc think Galicia is part of Poland. Even il Caudillo, Generalissimo Franco played down his Galician heritage on advice from his personal priest, Bishop Josemaria Escriva - the founder of Opus Dei. Yesterday, I was sitting outside a bar in San Vicente and a coach load of French tourists alighted to their guide spreading his arms and proclaiming, 'Galicia is God's work'. Dan Brown will ensure the Guardia Civil jail the blasphemer in his next book. God's work continues at Pacific Quay. The appetiser for the Euros is the second series of Scottish football icons, the six chosen are : Frank McAvennie, Joe Jordan, John Robertson, Wullie Miller, John Greig and, Jen Beattie. The Executive Producer remains Claire Kelly(daughter of former Sellik Chair, Kevin Kelly) and Eamonn Donohoe (Sportscene Producer), a Celtic State of Mind pairing. We know PQ is most comfortable lifting personnel and ideas from Sellik supporters' Podcasts and the national broadcaster serves up continuity in their Euros coverage. Each and every evening of the Euros, we are being given, 'Late Night at the Euros with Martin Compston'. Now I know Gersnetters will be concerned as to the whereabouts of RAB Cosgrove and Tam Cowan, it's their gig these last thirty years? Diversity training takes it's toll and maybe they are losing the confidence of Claire and Eamonn? As BBC License payers, we must ask, has Martin Compston undergone diversity training? Remember Martin, it is only two years past since he conducted the balaclava attired Yahoos in the full IRA karaoke from a Las Vegas stage? Martin ticks all the boxes, he co-hosts a Podcast with Hibby, Gordon Smart called, 'Restless Natives'. BBC Scotland tells us, "Martin is hilarious" is his descant of the forty year old Scottish low budget film. Taking on the characters of Clown and Wolf, two disaffected youths get on their motor bikes and indulge in highway robbery. Tourist coaches are the target. Martin will be donning a clown mask instead of the usual balaclava. What are PQ CSC thinking? A Scots actor who has lived in Las Vegas this last decade is parachuted in and RAB Cosgrove says nothing. I suspect Martin's political sympathies and the thought of an impending word from Peter have silenced him. A man in his 72nd year knows his snout could be removed from the trough permanently. The suffocating blanket of God's Work decrees hating is no longer enough, Opus Peter is dictating. No wonder RAB is continually playing the Irish heritage card these days. I think PQ could have been a bit more snappy with the show's title, how about, 'Singalonga Martin'?1 point

All we need to sign are half backs who can take a pass from their defenders at the half way line then play the ball into space for his team mate who should have the sense to be running into and his job is easier all he has to do is return same ball to his half back who will have moved in or around the box to thump it home it's quite a simple task ,1 point
