Not many better strikes across our history. The power and swerve he found was incredible but he often hit the ball well from free kicks and the like. Can't beat a Bertie-yarder!3 points

22 years, jeez. In some ways it feels every second of it, in others it feels like just a few moments ago. That goal must have felt cathartic for him.3 points

They’ll turn up tomorrow alright. And Don Robertson is referee which worries me. I just can’t forget our goal he disallowed against the yahoos at the start of the season.2 points

Neil Warnock and Scottish referees/officials will be interesting. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?2 points

Too early to tell. Silva looks useful but we didn't see enough of Cortes on Saturday. As SBG says though, we seem to have upgraded some positions but I still worry about the lack of dependable strikers. Dessers missed another sitter when he came on against Livingston.2 points

Just go at them from the first whistle. Be unrelenting.2 points

This match will tell us a lot about our team and the character and desire in it. As everyone now knows a 3-0 win puts us top of the league, with the same games played. If our players can overcome an Aberdeen side who always lift themselves for us, who have a new manager to impress, one that isn't inept for a change, and deliver the victory required, that might be indicative of what's going on behind the scenes. It also puts pressure on the side from across the city, and for a long time many of us have suspected they won't react well to pressure. I didn't expect to be in this position so soon into Clement's reign. If we stumble tomorrow that will tell us something about the players we currently have, if we don't that might suggest something else. Looking forward to finding out which it is.2 points

It was the reaction of a man that didn't need to give much thought to goal celebrations.2 points

Mr Clement is a shrewd dude. Total focus on our own game, that's what he wants in the players' heads. What it does is to gradually build a sense of superiority and confidence, which we can already see the green shoots of. Fretting about external distractions only undermines confidence.2 points

WIthout looking, we had Foderingham in goals, Tav and Wallace full backs, Kiernan and Wilson centre halves, Holt and Halliday in the midfield, McKay in the left wing, Waghorn and Miller upfront at different times.2 points

I know. If Scottish football ends up being a trial game every week for English clubs then the sooner we join a new European league the better. I hate the idea of us having loanees; I want a team I can reel the names off by heart. Remember Warburton? I can only remember Shiels and Black, not one of his teams.2 points

That's not his style. He just wants the team to focus on winning and not side distractions or excuses like dodgy refs. It's a bit frustrating but it seems to be working.2 points

And missed a right good chance to win it late on as well.2 points

Aye that's a fair point, he was still creating more from deeper though is what I'd say. I like both btw, it's good to see Cantwell scoring regularly.1 point

Know what you are saying, but I feel Cantwell is one of those rare players who can make something happen out of the blue. Some call them luxury players, but with 4 goals on last 6 games, cantwell is beginning to add numbers to his game. Lawrence is probably the more 'steady' of them, but less likely to turn a game with a piece of magic. However definitely a place for both in our team / squad.1 point

Aye I hate to say it but we'll only know come the end of May really, even beyond that. On the face of it, it was decent enough business. Especially considering how little money is swirling around on transfers with the different financial regulations in Europe. Let's hope Diomande and Cortés are benchmark signings in a year or two's time.1 point

I'm hoping Aberdeen will be more progressive than visiting teams usually are. We can still be a bit vulnerable to low block and long ball counter attacks and Miovsky is a potent threat in that respect. The more their midfield can be drawn forward the more I'd fancy us to cut them open.1 point

Aberdeen will be cockahoop after Saturday and will fancy their chances it’s going to be a bruising ninety minutes I suspect the referee might have to sharpen his pencil at half time.1 point

I thought Tav had his best game for a while at the weekend. Others - such as Cantwell - weren't so good in the first half for me. Was impressed by MacAusland and thought Cortes and Silva both looked fairly sharp.1 point

Warnock has been appointed interim Gaffer for the Dandies, he will be in the dug out at Ibrox tomorrow evening. Aberdeen supporters on the whole appear to be up for the appointment of the 75 year old Yorkshireman. How will it go? I suspect both Cormack and Burrows are going for the short term new manager bounce, if so I hope it is after their visit to Govan. The style of play will be interesting, do the Dandies have the players to fit Warnock's preferred style? He is a motivator but, Aberdeen need no motivation when facing Rangers. Further, what becomes of Bookies' favourite, Neil Lennon? Continuously, Neil is heavily hyped for the now, regular vacancies in the world of football, particularly in Scotland. Is there something lurking in Lennon's past that prevents appointment? Surely, a man that led ra green'n'grey hooped horrors to victory over Barca' cannot be allowed to languish on Peter Martin's Sellik Podcast, PLZ Soccer? Have Aberdeen appointed the wrong Neil?1 point

I was told this by a former Hibs captain when Simpson and Stein were at Easter Road Stein never took to him as a goalie hence he got rid of him then both ended up at Parkhead and the rest as they say is history, it’s a funny old game as Greavsie used to say .1 point

the ref told him it would have been chopped off. who knows what for presumably because it was celtc.1 point

Phil needs to call out the ref before the game and their tactics. The team also needs to be strong brave and more up for this than they have ever been before. What an opportunity we have.1 point

He got booked early on against Celtc. He usually gets away with six or seven blatant fouls before he picks up a yellow against us.1 point

Old Warnock will have their dressing room fired up I’m looking forward to the game1 point

The manager and players have tunnel vision on the next game, a fantastic laser-like focus which has resulted in us reeling them in, despite losing twice to them. We are fans, not players or managers, and are as such a very different breed. 56. It's coming. Fuck the stoicism and the juju.1 point
