Only player we could get serious money for would be Butland.3 points

This is a disgrace. Signing young, promising players? Where's our geriatric journeymen?! It's even financially responsible, with option-to-buy loans. Game's gone.3 points

Shankland in my view would find it much more difficult to score for Rangers when opponents have 11 men behind the ball. He wouldn’t get the space he gets at hertz.3 points

I stopped the debate when the inevitable Hearts striker got brought into it. He's not a Rangers player, he never will be a Rangers player and the continuing so called speculation does my napper in3 points

One of the great mysteries of life. I can only think of one 'Brian' who played for us yet we all call him 'Laudrup', yet there's been a few Alastairs over the years but only one we'd know as 'Ally'. Very few players earn only first name status. The few that do usually fall into two camps; club legends like Super Ally as already mentioned, Slim Jim or Sandy or those with 'unusual' Christian names like Lorenzo, Fashion, Torry or Moses. But even then very few of them were just called by their first name. We went through a period in the 80s when we had a spate of Fergusons; Eric, Iain, Ian and Derek all played for us over a 5 or 6 year period yet were all known as 'Fergie'. Then our next two 'Fergusons' become better known by their first names; big Dunc and Barry. Go figure. If there's a rhyme or reason to it I've not sussed it out yet.2 points

The one that's disappointed me is Lowry looks like he's messed up his career now he's back and on the sick that's no use to anyone.2 points

Just one of those inexplicable, quaint anomalies life throws at us.2 points

Disagree. Ridvan's form has been good recently and he has been one of our better players during a winning run. Although he may well be on his way, I'd be content with him staying.2 points

Aye, Beale's poor judgements will ensure there aren't any big buys until we make some big sales, I reckon.1 point

Tbh I think PCs comments around how we've spent our money badly recently really ruled out spending the money Hertz will want for Shankland.1 point

The SWPL consists of 32 games. The 12 clubs play each other twice, home and away - 22 games then splits into two sections of six. Another home and away robin ensues, thus 22 plus 10 = 32. There are another 14 games to go. Meantime, Rangers ladies are six points clear at the top of the league.1 point

At least it makes a change from the usual 'bring him home' shite we are subjected to during transfer windows. 😀1 point

Shankland will NOT be a Rangers player so we dont need to bother about it 🥵1 point

Watched some of the games this weekend and some shock results that's why I'd love to see our cup throw in the premier teams right from the first games might give us Celtic v Auchinleck or Rangers v Petershill.1 point

His replacement? just watch how Liverpool (& all EPL clubs for that matter) don’t even consider Gareth Southgate1 point

Hard to say, we've seen the best of Barisic, pretty sure Yilmaz will improve.1 point

Why do we call Yilmaz by his first name but Cifu is never referred to as Jose?1 point

Lammers played well for Utrecht again last night. Hopefully he can win a good move in the summer. The Hagi situation is poor, he wanted to leave to play football. He is barely getting a game at Alaves who, to be fair have picked up some form recently so they have justified not playing him. Really think we should at least ask Alaves if we can bring him back. There may be no recall option on the loan but it can still be mutually terminated.1 point

Dumbarton last sunday. Easter Rd on Wednesday. 3-1 victory against Kilmarnock (MOTM) Parkhead defeat.1 point

Be delighted if we get 2M for Cifu and Ridvan is by far our best left back option. Wouldn't sell for anything un 5-6M. Hope that was a farewell for BB today1 point

I get the player trading model ideology but we need to win league titles. Not every purchase can fit the model. We need a striker to enable us to win the league. Shankland will score goals for us. It's a no brainer.1 point
-
Unless the player is wanting away, I don't see why we would pursue his departure. Not unless his sale will fund a potential new striker coming in? I can only see Ridvan improving, making him a more lucrative asset (beyond cutting even).1 point

Another poor ref performance today! you can always have a bet the 1st player to be booked is a Rangers player! and this ref waits until the 2nd half to brandish his cards!. There were a couple of fouls committed by St Mirren players in the 1st half that could've been worth a yellow!.1 point

Good tip. On the face of it. First: catch a GP. Second: on further reflection and remembering the many dental students I used to know three score years ago, you’re maybe better just to try a bit of thread and a slamming door.1 point

Not sure how it works these days I don't suppose ferrying him up the Clyde to Govan in a rubber dinghy would help? (Thought I'd try to clarify the position, before one or other or all of the maniacal Empire Loyalists on this Forum try to organise this.)1 point
