I would keep Jack. He is our finest midfielder. If we can get 20-30 games a season from him, along with his presence around the club, I think it's worth it. (And make him retire from the national side.)6 points

Reflecting on the game this morning, I am becoming concerned at the problems cross balls are causing our defence. Looks to me that we are using zonal marking which we tried and failed with during Gio's time. We simply didn't have the players to execute it. It is not quite so noticeable when Jack is between the sticks.5 points

I didn't hint at all. It was a blatant lie - complete invention and fantasy. I suppose I should feel some remorse but the truth is I just felt a need to join in, to take part in the ritual bullshit. But wouldn't it be amazing if I turned out to be right. Double Bluff Loyal4 points

Fashionable in those days. Today, so many superstars wear these pink boots, no matter the colour of their jerseys and socks. That really hurts the eyes, and you wonder what makes them wear this abominations. Money is my guess. Over here, the Eisbären ice hockey team wears pink jerseys in November (Der Berliner?), raising money for breast cancer treatment. That is something I could agree with.3 points

Those two lovely chaps contributed significantly to my favourite trip to the Piggery (1st January 1994).3 points

They said the same about Boyd. His goals per game rate almost doubled when he went to Rangers. Shankland will score goals in this team. I have no doubts about that at all as he is an instinctive striker. Our only instintive striker is permanently injured (Roofe). If you consider misses in recent games like Tynecastle (Danilo) and Parkhead (Dessers) and add a Roofe or Shankland into the mix those missed chances become goals. Its that simple IMO.3 points

I do care because his success over there means we can rectify the outlay on him.2 points

I really don't care what Lammers does while playing for another club. He was universally shit when he had a Rangers shirt on his back ...... that's all that matters to me.2 points

I can't remember the number of appearances he had last season but it was something like 35 games. Anything like that and it's definitely worth hanging on to what has been our best midfielder for several seasons. But if he does go in the summer, I hope he goes with the thanks of all Rangers fans ringing in his ears. It's been a privilege to watch him play. I just wish he was joining us now instead on in the chaos of 7 years ago. He has to be a clear indication that there is genuine talent around the Scottish game if we had the eyes to see.2 points

Didn’t know that, interesting. What makes me think he looks Scottish is the alkie red face along with the ginger barnet. Belter. What a player he could have been for us ‘if we could get him fit’.2 points

Absolutely, what a day that was. No hate here, I'd have loved that shellsuit back in the day! 😆2 points

If he could start, and complete, 25 games per season, he would be able to start and complete over 40 games. And no-one would have a problem.1 point

Not many teams do this now, a man marking a post means a man free on the opposition side.1 point

A man on the far post would have prevented the goal. Steve Davis used to do this role. It doesn't seem to be part of our defensive strategy now though.1 point

I demand every Rangers player subject themselves to remedial training with particular emphasis on sticking their legs out.1 point

I read this same thing a year ago about Ryan Jack but he made 36 appearances for Rangers and 4 international appearances. Going by the way he was dismissed as a permanent crock you'd have thought he hadn't played half those games. In the first half of this season he's had 17 appearances and about 900 minutes for Rangers. Given his age and injuries he will never again play 40 full games a season. We all know that. The question is whether 20 - 30 appearances by a really good midfielder justifies one more season on appropriate financial terms, given the current state of our squad and our c continuing affliction with injuries. Personally, I think he will move on and probably play 30 games for another SPFL side.1 point
-
Where does that come from? We're half way through the season and he's had 16 appearances. He will make over 30 appearances this season, same as he did last season.1 point

Makes sense for the euro squads too as he’s a homegrown.1 point

Tbh if Diomande is coming in then we need to let one of Jack and Lundstram go this summer. Maybe even both if you want to sign another midfielder in the summer, which Clement will want to.1 point

First game in which PSV have dropped points this season. Prior to today's draw, they had won 17 games in a row.1 point

Started for them today v PSV. Another good performance as a number 9. Subbed off to very good reception from Utrecht fans1 point

Still think Cifu will come good. Sunny LA to dreich Govan takes a while to get used to.1 point

I wonder how much the fee is going to be? These are the markets we need to take advantage of IMO. Scandinavia and the Balkans could throw up some low cost (fees & wages) gems. Far better than the inflated/overrated/overpriced Championship market.1 point

Diomande fits the box-to-box, energetic central midfielder profile that I suspected PC liked. Good age, with experience.1 point

Not really I’d say he hasn’t done much tbh we need someone who is going to step into numerous rolls he has had what 2 half decent games and probably costs us a fortune in wages Mag to Grid I say 🤜🏼♥️🤍💙1 point

Would Cifu going be a surprise?1 point

That’s a great username. A Simpson for the rest of the season would be good. No frills, just work and goals head and foot and no peace for the centre half.1 point

I remember seeing Mykhaylychenko make his debut. If I recall correctly, it was away to Falkirk at Brockville? The sun was shining and he came on as a sub and nearly scored from the half way line.1 point

There's an area in Russia where ginger hair is quite common (I know he's Ukrainian). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udmurts "Many Udmurt people have red hair, and a festival to celebrate the red-haired people has been held annually in Izhevsk since 2004."1 point

Mines was just as bright and thought i looked great in it. Remember listening on the radio as things got ugly in their main stand when we went 3 zip up in the first half.1 point

Well done today. Good professionalism shown and as yet no further injuries. The conditions were horrible. Onwards and upwards.1 point

Btw, that's McCausland comfortable on both flanks - still don't get the fans who don't rate him.1 point
