Sunderland want Lammers?! What kind of idiot is in charge of Sund-- Oh.5 points

Rangers did that for their 'everyone anyone' campaign a few years ago. It was a huge virtue signal that highlighted every statistical outlier in the fan base. People missing limbs, some guy with the tats on his face, lesbians, a pirate, a Bornean head hunter...Nigel Farage. It was both cringe and vomit inducing. I personally loathe the shit out of that kinda crap....such as Scott7's mention of a kit selection to highlight knife violence. It's inane, vain, drivel, akin to standing in front of a burning home holding a sign that says 'look at me!' I'm old school. Do your GD J-O-B...which is win football matches...then give to charity...QUIETLY.4 points

VAR has given us penalties against Hearts, Livingston, Aberdeen and Dundee this season when the ref missed the incidents (and maybe more, that's all I can remember). It's got its faults but it's hardly a waste of time. It generally does pick up referee's errors, deliberate or otherwise, and generally works in our favour when refs in general are so pro-Celtic. They can't get away with all the stuff that they did before VAR was introduced and that's why Celtic are so against it. There's obviously a human aspect involved and it's never going to be perfect but things are a lot better than they were before its introduction.3 points

Agreed but he's been here long enough to see what is potentially required for the team. I suspect that he didn't just start thinking about potential new additions a few days ago.3 points

Some additional info on this: Jan 2023 Rangers V St Johnstone. Collum booked Ryan Jack but was asked by VAR to review it as a straight red. Collum (no doubt reluctantly) went to the pitch side to look at the monitor but stuck with his decision to give a yellow. Who was the VAR? None other than Nick Walsh.2 points

I believe Mr Collum was one of those. After all who could possibly question Mr Collum's decision?2 points

I wouldn't place a penny on them adhering to the flags down during play. Having been in about them on several occasions at away games and asked them to put the flags down during play, all you get back is abuse and ignored. Then they want everyone to join in on a sit down jump up moment and get annoyed when you wont reciprocate. But what atmosphere are they generating. All I hear is that bloody drum, and some infantile made up songs about players who have done nothing in the Rangers careers to date to merit such adulation. To me it doesnt add anything to the atmosphere, just some background noise. Atmosphere at the games is generated when the team is playing well and the crowd join in and sometimes when the referee is cheating and the crowd rise in defiance/annoyance. At very big games it can sometimes work the other way around. I would suggest it has very little to do with that corner. Trying to respect the other fans who want to watch the game instead of filming themselves would be a good start.2 points

Lammers to Sunderland? I'll drive him.2 points

That's a bit insensitive. Don't forget a majority of Gersnet wanted to persevere with that 'idiot'.2 points

VAR clearly has the potential to make a huge contribution to the game and frequently enables better decision making. The problem is that it cannot cope with or compensate for either the deliberate dishonesty of officials or their gross incompetence. VAR remains entirely dependent upon the honest intentions and professional skills of those who operate it. So when you get a chaotic decision making and cover ups like we saw during the recent old firm game, it's no good riding to VAR's rescue quoting "in-principle" advantages of the system. When officials fail, VAR fails. At that point trust is lost and what should be a force for good becomes a tool of corruption.2 points

Let’s hope so we are in need of a miracle this window to straighten out our Lack of goal scoring opportunities, hopefully the Balded one can get the job done.2 points

11 goals and 18 assists across 132 career games ? He runs fast, but so did Forest Gump. He doesn't pass the eye test. His eyes are very close set. I am from the south...trust me here...that's a bad sign. Hard pass.2 points

Is this about Arsenal wearing a white strip in the cup tie instead of anything with red on it in the belief it might stop people stabbing one another?2 points

VAR is, in general, a good thing. It doesn't pick up every error, as we saw on Saturday, but it does clarify a lot of issues. There are issues with things like handballs, but the problem is with the rules of the game and not VAR itself. Given Brendan Rodgers wants it scrapped, I'd have to conclude it's generally made the game fairer.2 points

Scotland isn’t ready for VAR we’re a country steeped in religious bigotry sadly it’s still with us in 2024 in the west of Scotland and probably the central belt you’re still in the Billy or the Dan stage of development you’re surely not expecting one or the other to give decisions against his own lot .1 point
-
As bad as he is, Collum isn't the main problem. Underpinning every outrageous decision on the field is the SFA/SPFL that insists on opacity in every aspect of the game. Referees can't explain their decisions or be held accountable, VAR has to operate in silence, the Compliance Officer had to be chosen by clandestine means, evidence goes missing from investigations, secrecy at every turn, etc, etc. You couldn't create a better environment in which corruption could flourish if you tried .... and flourish it has.1 point

They’re good at displays right enough but a big picture never won a match yet.1 point

Ultras don't film themselves during matches, so I think you may have encountered some hangers-on whenever that's happened.1 point

The Lammers to Sunderland rumour has already been rubbished. Even Beale isn't that daft.1 point

If we manage to persuade another club to take Lammers this month, I will be genuinely astounded. If he goes to Sunderland, I would worry about Beale's mental health, or suggest Lammer's has got information Beale would rather was kept secret 🤣1 point

He is one of them! if true he will join them rather than us!.1 point

I think this is it If the referee had seen it and booked the Calvert Lewin, I don't think it would have been upgraded. As the ref 'didn't see it', he's almost always gonna go with what VAR say, rightly or wrongly1 point

What a manager wants and what a manager gets, during the transfer window, are two very different things.1 point

Well they do say the matrix and the O’Terminator are related. We are all 100% plugged in for sure. The Terminator is the prequels to, or the beginning of, The Matrix. Sarah Connor is actually Neo’s mother. So JC — John Connor — is Jesus Christ. And he grows up to be Neo. They’re one and the same. The Matrix is in the future, The Terminator is the past. It’s time travel — past, present, future. It’s the second coming of the Christ, the evolution of consciousness, man versus the machine. The Terminator machines hear that a child is going to be born that’s going to terminate them in the future when they oppress man. It’s man versus the machine. It’s God’s children versus man’s children, which was technology. So the Terminator has to time travel to the past, because they know it’s Sarah Connor, and they have to kill her — terminate her — so she won’t have the baby. Kyle Reese, he comes from the future to protect her and he inadvertently gets her pregnant. He has to go back to the future. And that’s the Immaculate Conception, because now she’s pregnant and she fell in love with a man — but did it really happen? Did he exist? And then this child, when you see the three Terminators, the boy and then the man — subconsciously he doesn’t know why the Terminator is trying to kill him until he’s hidden out in the city in The Matrix, the future. When he reaches 30 years of age, the rebellion reloaded revolution starts, and the rebels come, they find him because they’ve been watching him all along. That’s what the Guardians and the Sentinels are all about. They wake him up to his purpose. They take him to Morpheus to train him to fight the machines. They take him to the Oracle because of the prophecy. This is the whole epic story. It’s an epic.1 point

Like most of these winter transfers they mostly seem to be done in the last few days1 point

Not doubting the quality of Doig or the potential in using Yilmaz as part of a deal but I'm not sure. It seems to me that the only time Ridvan has shown signs of progression is when he has played 4 games in succession. ie. End of last season and now (No shit Sherlock). I would prefer to keep him. I know this deal is probably longer term planning but our success this season won't hinge on who we have at left back. We need more potent attackers/creators in the final third.1 point

Not to go into too much details etc but what about people with limited capabilities, I got nerve damage and other injuries whilst serving and front row area/ seats would be ideal due to navigating steps etc I’m guessing this area will be for all types of disability or just wheelchair users? Sorry if this has been covered just a thing I found difficult whilst in Ibrox recently.1 point

They've said that flags should not be raised while the ball is in play. It'll be interesting to see if they stick to that. I'd have thought that a big issue would also be those remaining in CF whose view may be obstructed by the singing section who stand for the whole game. I'd be asking for a seat move if I had to stand for the whole game. TBF, virtually all atmosphere in regular games is created by them. the stadium would be a morgue at times without them.1 point

Don't even enter into dialog with them, offer them same as our fans got offered, big fat zero.1 point

100% couldn't agree more. They're a bloody nuisance we could easily do without.1 point

Surely the denial of a penalty against Celtic and the subsequent cloak and dagger cover up suggests there is something VERY wrong with VAR. It's not just a case of missing things when the process becomes steeped in denials and contradictory explanations. The problem (as it was always bound to be) is that VAR has become just another tool to be employed by corrupt officials in Scottish football.1 point

Yeah I was just hoping Phil could hold down second place and perhaps win us the cup. I thought Europe was a goner. Even though we lost to them he has really impressed. I look forward to a further transition.1 point

No one seen this run of results coming. Incredible work. Even with the result a few days back I think is any of us were offered this when Beale was sacked we would have taken it. No one would have believed this to be possible.1 point
