Good point. Please forgive me. Not sure what I was thinking there. Anyway. This is the biggest opportunity ever in the history of our football club. Big Phil battering the beasts will be the beginning of the beggars bearing the burden of booting big bucks Brendan.3 points

Following the news of the Club donating the food for the Ross County game to a foodbank, I searched in vain for a similar laudable action by Aberdeen for their postponed game. After all, two dozen butteries go a long way. Maybe they just put them back in the freezer.3 points

Normally I'm fairly chilled out until about an hour or two before these matches but tonight I'm feeling quite tense. And bigoted.2 points

Carter-Vickers out apparently. That's a big bonus for us IMO.2 points

Score first and the hostility will move from our players to their board and manager. They are on edge and simply waiting to pounce on Brenda if we come away with anything tomorrow.2 points

Lundstram is the only one I'd be talking to atm about an extension - and it would be on a shorter deal on reduced wages, with heavy incentives in the contract if he meets targets during the season.2 points

Probably as much "a racist" as you and me. "He who throws the first stone ..." or whatever the line is. Throwing a word in the heat of the moment doesn't make you "a racist" and I know for fact that many of my fellow Turkish-German citizens have a neat variety of words thrown at "white" Germans every day without notice, some in anger, some in irony or jest. Only that most other Germans don't understand their Turkish words. And you could add Poles, Russians, Ukrainians etc. to that list. True racism is another matter, though. Obviously, these are different times and the PC code demands that incidents like the one mentioned above needs to be investigated to its core, Wagner's CV been screened to his great-grandfather and whatnot. I take it that the inquisitors over at Kerrydale Street are already at it. Wagner himself: Wagner himself on Instagram: “The last few days have been very difficult for me and my family. “I said something in the heat of the moment that I deeply regret. I sincerely apologize and will work to improve myself and my actions. That’s not who I am.”2 points

If we play anywhere near to our capabilities, we should be fine. As per usual, the form-book goes out of the window. And as we have seen last time around, the better side with the better chances does not always come out on top. That Cantwell wrecking by Maeda inside the area, the goal by Roofe wrongly chalked off ... you just hope Karma comes around tomorrow.2 points

There's a position in Australian Rules football called 'Back Pocket' - I think it would suit Lammers!2 points

This is the biggest match in the entire history of the club. Few understand this.2 points

Who the hell are you---"The Masked Singer"??? You seem to have so much knowledge of our finances/assets etc.etc. For the benefit of us un-knowledgable please explain how you know so much but there again it might only be words on your part.1 point

What? That's what you took from the last accounts? We're surviving on loans from directors and have attracted attention from FFP.1 point

He's not been in the best of form recently but his absence could make all the difference.1 point

I would be happy to see Lundstram and Barišić stay. I would also be happy to see replacements for Roofe and Jack.1 point

Heart and Hand pod mentioning the rumour that both Barasic and Ridvan have got injuries? Not heard this one personally.1 point

Big Phil has shown he sets his team out to win every match, I don't think you need to worry about that.1 point

Where would he have fitted in? He played centre forward or inside left. Could he have done inside right when McMillan was retired? The outside right would have had to fend for himself which would have diminished Scott’s capability but Henderson would have managed. Imagine the inside trio, Law, Millar and Brand.1 point

Added these two to the OP. Interesting, Wagner has no great CV, but is a freebie in 2 days time. His stats are okay, the US league is not that bad, so who knows. Oppegard is essentially a youngster with virtually no top tier football experience (not least if compared to Silva of the same age). IN - Kai Wagner (26) - LB, German, Philadelphia Union, contract till 12/2023 - TM - LINK IN - Frederik Oppgard (21) - LB, Norway, PSV Eindhoven, contract till 6/2025 - TM - LINK (see Wagner above)1 point

Don't know why but I have strange feeling we are going to do well tomorrow. Feel we are due something and there seems to be a belief in the team. Time will tell.1 point

Think The Rexord were also reporting this. May have gotten it from Scott Burns?1 point

Dessers to score on Saturday. You heard it here first...1 point

So, we definitely still need a No.9.1 point

I've read somewhere that he's not so much a centre forward as a wide receiver. So we still need a Shankland.1 point

Great to see a young Scottish lad of good stock doing well, captaining an Italian side no less. Fair play to him.1 point

Where does it stop? Do we then look to take out deflected goals? Goals that weren't meant? A goals a goal and all are rightly counted.1 point

Sure, however he has made an impact in Italy and is sought after on the back of his performances. He can't get a start for Scotland!. Funny old game!.1 point
