  1. Willy Nilly never kicked a ball for us and he was just as bad as all the other signings.

  2. If the chairman had done his job the manager who’d won us plenty of trophies should have been moved on he was past his sell buy date in the upcoming tracksuit managers Stein , Turnball and more and the other lot wouldn’t have had the success they had

  3. About to go on my works Xmas day out then am on a family holiday for a week so wanted to take some time now to thank everyone for their participation on the forum again this year. Supporting Rangers still feels like a fool's errand at times but the last month has shown football remains a funny old game and, as we approach Christmas Day, it's fantastic to see us winning the League Cup, being Scotland's sole representative in Europe post-group stage and, whisper it, challenging again for the title. Yes, we're struggling with injuries and genuine quality during some games but there's no doubt Philippe Clement has restored some belief to our players and fans since his arrival. To that end, I hope everyone has a safe, happy festive period and is able to enjoy a few more Rangers victories as well as, more importantly, valuable time with your friends and family. I certainly hope Santa brings us three more wins before 2023 is out and let's hope 2024 is a prosperous one for all Rangers fans and our club.

  4. Sure, however he has made an impact in Italy and is sought after on the back of his performances. He can't get a start for Scotland!. Funny old game!.

  5. That was reminiscent of Aberdeen v Rangers. ‘Gers miss chance after chance then Ferguson scores with minutes to go.

  6. From "rubbish, not befitting the jersey, punt him in January" to MOTM. Step foward Cyriel "Lazarus" Dessers. And if he scores a hatrick on 30/12, far from being raised from the dead by the Messiah, he will become the Messiah.

  7. When Rangers got rid of Jim Forrest in they committed one of the worst blunders in the club's history. It might be over half a century ago but it was a disappointment I'll carry to the grave. He really was very special.

  8. Some sympathy for McNeil. He endures Jimmy Millar, lord of the leap, then along comes Jim Forrest, rocketing past him on the left, disappearing into the distance on the right. When Lawrence sacked Forrest he ruined Forrest’s career but he saved McNeil’s.

  9. McCausland certainly can't time his jumping - headering the ball is not a useful trait of his. Then we have Lammers who goes into hiding when there's a header on.

  10. Spoke to McNeil about this and he said he had tremendous power in his jump and perfect timing another one he didn’t like playing against was Forrest .

  11. 5’6” but he looked taller than that, more 5’8” but you can’t argue with stats. Could outleap McNeil no bother.

  12. Might have been better signing Mr Nilly or even Useless Eustace for all the good some of his signings have been

  13. And he wasn't that tall was he? Must be one of the best headers of a ball per inch we've seen in the last 60 years.

  14. I’m sure the new manager has already identified the weakest links and will be aiming to strengthen those areas

  15. I think we will need to use the loan market wisely as it doesn't lumber us with lengthy contracts. 2 strikers for me. There are lot players looking for game time prior to the Euros, so maybe we can pick up someone with that profile.

  16. Peterborough United ‘certain’ to sell Rangers-linked ‘wonderkid’ Ronnie Edwards in January, £4.5m-plus fee needed Peterborough United are “certain” to sell Rangers-linked Ronnie Edwards in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The newspaper reported on its website on Thursday (21 December) that the Gers have sent scouts to watch the centre-back. The Sun added that Peterborough are expecting a fee of at least £4.5million, although they could want more than double that in add-ons. ... https://www.ibroxnews.com/2023/12/22/peterborough-united-certain-to-sell-rangers-linked-wonderkid-ronnie-edwards-in-january-4-5m-plus-fee-needed/ Like we would pay 4,5m for a centre-half. no idea what they smoked over at the Sun's HQ. Meanwhile ... Rangers look set to receive a £1.4million transfer windfall in January as part of a permanent deal for Malik Tillman to join PSV in January, according to the Daily Record. African Cup of Nations happens by early next year and by the looks of it, let's hope we do not lose Dessers (Nigeria) and/or Sima (Senegal). With Roofe out again and Lammers doing everything but score ...

  18. If they're rejecting it then either the organisers have got their sums wrong and it isn't sufficiently lucrative ..... or the clubs believe it will be prevented from getting off the ground by similar proposals already being formulated by UEFA

  19. A medical team with the power of grey skull behind them. Our injuries are unreal. This boy Tom Taylor doesn’t need a magic wand he needs everyone at hogwarts.

  20. He's doing what he was asked to do, steadied them and had some good results. I wish he wasn't in football management, as I quite like him as a pundit.

  21. Clement seems to like all-action / box-to-box central midfielders (Lundstram, Raskin, Sterling) and wingers / wide attackers (Sima, McCausland), so that could be something to look out for during the transfer window. At Monaco he liked one full-back to stay back to create a situational back-three, which requires more of a CB that can play FB, which could be an option for us - we are in need of a Barisic back-up/replacement.
