It's not rocket science for the committee to conclude that a reasonable allocation would be the same allocation that every other team receives, and the same as we got the last time we got tickets there. To not reach that conclusion means you have an agenda and that you set out determined not to rule against celtic. There is no fair outcome to this other than to keep out opposing fans. The 800 solution is unfair as Rangers fans have a restricted view and are stuck out the way of the TV cameras, but it's the one that our club could live with, but it seems that Celtic will not accept this under any circumstances, probably because they know that this is the least advantageous to their club. The European allocation still has the issues that the 800 solution has, results in a lot of unused seats and has potential segregation problems. It's forced on the club for some European games but it's not one that the police would be happy with. It also means a lot of Gers fans being moved from their seats. It's also been suggested that Celtic wouldn't accept this anyway, so no point in proposing it and weakening our position. The full stand solution is a non starter. We sell too many season tickets and why would the club sacrifice our fans and much needed income upfront to be Celtic's bitches and accommodate them? Again this solution favours celtic given the relative positions of the support in the grounds. I know some fans are willing to bend over and give celtic everything they want so that they have a chance of attending Parkhead but our club and our season ticket holders would suffer more and I don't think we should entertain the idea. I accept it's an emotive subject and I probably wouldn't go to the games so I'm not losing out if there's no away tickets. I wonder what my view would be in the 90s when I went to every game we had at Parkhead, including that unforgettable evening in 99. I really don't know but as things stand I've got no issues with not hearing their sectarian bile at Ibrox.4 points

I was rather hoping they'd throw themselves off the top tier, chuck Mars bars at their board members and generally make themselves look like idiots.4 points

Some guy behind me at a recent Hampden match was getting angry with our poor use of the ball. I think we were losing to Celtic at the time [correction, it was Hearts]. He shouted "For f***s sake recycle it!" or something similar. Normally I would have liked to join in and shout at our players for being rubbish. Instead I had to stifle laughter. Modernity continues to ruin everything.3 points

It seems clear to me that Rangers should continue offering corner tickets to Celtic, knowing full well that they won't accept them and won't reciprocate by offering us a similar allocation at the piggery. That way, we are seen to treat all clubs equally while Celtic play petulant games and the outcome is there will be no away fans at OF games - which suits us fine.3 points

More rotation than I thought but looking forward to seeing the lesser spotted Dowell in action. C'mon lads!2 points

I get it's been a big week for the lads and we're all chuffed atm, but for me it would be complete if we played St Johnstone off the park tonight. Zip and energy after a cup win instead of a massive come down with slow, turgid football. We can postpone the comedown until after we lift the league title and take a breather is my view. Here's hoping eh.2 points

I suggest you look up these terms in the Collins Newfangled Dictionary before criticising them.2 points

You'll get Rousseau started with your aversion to all this new fangled terminology. Low block = defending. Transition = passing forwards. It all feels very Americanised...groan.2 points

we will have to be patient tonight their manager will be sending them out tonight in one of his weird defensive setup's2 points

So with them not giving Rangers tickets, does that mean we don't need to give any away fans tickets? or them for that matter!. Either way keeping them out of Ibrox is what Rangers should do! feck them!.2 points

Couldn't agree more. It's obvious Celtc are pushing for the full stand, so our board have to do the right thing and stand firm. Give them 800 or nothing.2 points

He was in the Fanzone at EH tonight and said he received good news from doctor today.1 point

Wouldn't surprise me if we conceded here. Not a player in our team would get pass marks. Oops penalty to Rangers (maybe) 😀1 point

Yeah, I thought the same. He didn't look upset because he was injured, he clearly wanted to say on, shook his head, ripped his short off and disappeared down the tunnel. Strange if injured.1 point

Would i be right in saying that Barisic is now an ‘Outside linebacker’ , Butland is ‘Safety’ ,Sima is ‘Wide receiver’ ,Tav ‘Cornerback’, and Lundstram ‘Tackle’ ? Think this matter needs cleared up.1 point

Pretentiousness is not new. Arsenal once had 2 forwards called Radford and Kennedy who were both good in the air. There was also a football writer called Brian Glanville who, reporting on an Arsenal game in which the tactic of pumping the ball up the two forwards was failing, stated that Arsenal eventually took the advice of the Button Moulder in 'Peer Gynt' and decided to go 'round about.' I frequently imagined Arsenal fans shouting, "Don't forget what the Button Moulder said, lads!"1 point

I think you can rotate v St Johnstone and still get a decent performance as long as its not wholesale. And tbh, McCausland and Dessers' legs went around the hour mark which is understandable given recent minutes, they need a rest imo.1 point

I have no time for any of the other clubs either but think British football fans should be able to attend away matches. Banning away fans completely would be over the top and the atmosphere for run of the mill matches is boring enough with them there.1 point
-
I agree in principle but think offering them the same we offer the other clubs gives us the upper hand, which might prove advantageous if the dispute comes to a head. Their shite about safety concerns just makes them look silly.1 point

Y'all are crazy. I can't begin to imagine that where i'm from. Somebody would get ventilated in about three seconds. Free medical care and no guns...chuck away...lord.1 point

I am assuming Yilmaz is on his way out - not that I want that; I quite like him. Barisic is always steady, but he's not getting any younger. I'd like to see him replaced, although it's not a priority.1 point
