Feeling rather refreshed and most joyful. Can I extend festive felicitations to my fellow Gersnetters. Rangers won the Cup.

Well I'm excited about winning the League Cup for the 1st time since 2011. My twin boys were still in the neo-natal unit after being born 10 weeks early the last time we won this trophy. Today, I had one of my boys with me (the other doesn't like football) to witness this triumph. Its the 1st trophy he's seen us win live and to see the joy on his face made the victory even sweeter. Hopefully he'll witness many, many more. There were times during 2013 and the years after that, that I didn't know if I'd ever see Rangera win another meaningful trophy. Whilst trophies have been scarce, we've now won the league, won the Scottish Cup, won the League Cup and gotten to the EL Cup Final. I'll never downplay any trophy we win, we are Rangers and we're in the business of winning trophies, it's what we do. But now we move on to Wednesday where we've an opportunity to cut the lead in the league. Another huge game for us.

I watched the game with my old man. I said to him after the final whistle - take a moment to think about how yahoos are feeling right now, they'll be absolutely gutted. I really, really enjoy their pain.

Rangers win the League Cup again at last! An incredibly hard fought match at Hampden this afternoon but a well deserved win as we upped the tempo in the 2nd half and created a lot more opportunities. Well done one and all. Enjoy it bears! BTW, absolutely no regards to Michael Stewart. How must he feel being booked to only give an opinion that differs from what happens to Rangers on the pitch? His commentary was an absolute embarrassment - particularly in injury time. Don't blame Alan Hutton for mocking him.

Been a fantastic 4 days. Won in Betis and topped our EL group, they dropped points yesterday and we won the League Cup today.

Hutton at least tries to be fair. Stewart is just a joke. All these trolls just spoil the coverage.

Must really stick in the sides of those who call Tavernier a perennial loser to see him slam in the cup final winner. A professional display and the correct result. Couldn't be happier for the captain considering he's been struggling like a lot of players this season but he's been reborn under Clement.

Last Words. I left Hampden and whilst walking to my car I put on my radio and inserted my ear plugs. I heard BBC Scotland's Liam McLeod conclude his thoughts on his match commentary, he said : "Rangers have defeated Aberdeen in a poor standard cup final". Says it all, the true voice of the PQ Gang Hut.

Very good stuff this week. A couple good drinks from the winners cup. Not a perfect team but one that seems to be pulling in the same direction. Weds they can start to reel the scum in. I feel good about Rangers for the first time in quite a while.

I don't think we played particularly well in Seville or at Hampden but I'm absolutely delighted with the two victories. We definitely need improvements up front and in midfield.

That was a struggle but not surprising after Thursday night but we kept plugging away and found a bit of form later in the match. I am delighted for Tav to win the cup for us. They didn't trouble us and didn't create a single chance from memory. Well done to everyone at the club. Michael Stewart is an absolute disgrace. His bigotry and bias are insufferable.

I haven't been Tav's biggest fan over the last couple of seasons. However, I am absolutely delighted for Tav, deserves his day today. Let's hope our Captain can take us to a league title, or even a treble. He will then be a legend.

Aberdeen are starting with two up front, both Miovski and Sokler through the middle. Please Rangers, blunt the threat; centre backs have to be aware of the ball over the top and, Lundstram must cut off the midfield source. Score first, second and, third. Everything will be tickety-boo.

I'm sure I'm not the first to say it but Scott McKenna is a proverbial tap in - 27, left footed Scottish international who's played at a good level and *knows our league* (I know. Forgive me) who's been frozen out and who's contract is up in the summer... Get him signed on a pre in January early doors and then try and negotiate a fee to bring him in early from a position of strength. If not he can come in the summer. I'd be disappointed if the club haven't sounded his agent out tbh. Helps that we know Wilson, or at least it should.

No, they've just changed the format of the CL. One big league with contrived fixtures instead of the group stages
