The club should claim mistaken identity. I sit on the half way line and I saw Sam Lammers attempt that tackle. Do I have a witness?8 points

Doing the Broony. We have entered League Cup final week, both Rangers and Aberdeen each have a Euro' fixture to complete before Sunday at Hampden. The Dandies are at home to Eintracht Frankfurt with a 17.45 hrs kick off. Rangers travel to Seville to face Real Betis with a 20.00 hrs start time. Thus, the Dons will be loused and ready for bed by the time we endure a couple of hours hard graft folllow followed by a four plus hour flight back to Glasgow. Friday will be a right off and Saturday will be a walk around Auchenhowie before a loosening game of fives. Raising the Scottish coefficient alone is arduous. Of course, neither the broadcast or the print media mention this because Scotland's other two representatives in Euro' football are facing ,'Dead Rubbers'. The PQ Gang Hut have already chorused, "Barry can field any side he wants" or in other words, 'fcuk the coefficient'. Such a dearly held principle during Pedro's tenure too? There is a continuing preparation for the final and it is the constant reminder on Rangers and penalties. If only opposition defenders would refrain from grasping and holding Rangers players jerseys in the penalty box. Today, it is Scott Brown's turn not to have an original thought. He has been reminded Rangers have not conceded a penalty since he retired. The Lego chewer concludes, "Aberdeen have no chance of a penalty on Sunday". Anesthetised by the taste of Danish plastic, Scott conveniently forgets ie no one told him, that Rangers have had two penalties awarded against them in this year's League Cup. Surely, that is more relevant and how many have Aberdeen conceded in this season's competition? There are only five sleeps to go, let us hope Referee, Don Robertson gets the message. It is not for want of trying.4 points

A beautiful actress once said to GBS: "Y' know, with your brains and my beauty, we could create the perfect child." GBS :" Yes, but what if it turns out to have my beauty and your brains?"3 points

Here's hoping we get two penalties on Sunday and score from both.2 points

This nonsense is as old as the hills. Rangers spend more time in the opposition penalty box than any other team bar one, so it follows they’ll get more penalties. Opponents with one exception spend less time in Rangers box so fewer events that could lead to an award occur. Add to that the fact that Rangers defenders aren’t renowned for their tiger tackling so forget conspiracy, look at reality.2 points

The referee was about 6 yards away & had a perfect view of the tackle. He gave a yellow card. Why did VAR need to get involved?2 points

I'm not taking the mic here - I genuinely don't even know who Connor Barron is!1 point

I can’t believe the club seriously thought it would be rescinded. It had to be an exercise in showing support for the player. Circling the wagons.1 point

Brilliant feature I thought, uefa and the rest of Europe appreciate our players more than those within Scotland which is no shock. Jack's been our poty so far, probably poty in Scotland too but he'll want the trophies to back that up. If only the rest of the team had his mentality and pride in their performances.1 point

Few people online saying Barron is looking done from Aberdeen, idk if there's any truth in it though. Deal that needs to be done imo, I'd also be looking at Fotheringham at Dundee Utd if we can't bring in Sima.1 point

“I couldn’t really see what happened,” said Dundee’s on-loan forward Amadou Bakayoko. “I didn’t really get a good look at it. But they always manage to get penalties, don’t they? It’s one of the things that happens there.” Bit naughty that.1 point

Bit of a blow. Both involved in the England youth setup so a well paid gig at a premiership club academy beckons. Hopefully we make a good case for a development fee.1 point

Aristotle right? I remember fifty years past, enduring a first year lecture at Uni' that began with another Aristotle quote, 'Man is a rational animal therefore a political animal'. Shuggy Aristotle was the very epitome of profundity.1 point

In my opinion the police just do as they are told. They don't make decisions or apply common sense. Football fans are easy targets. Our supporters more than others. I think the authorities are still stuck in the 80's where every football supporter is a working class hooligan.1 point

I would be thrilled with a 1-0 win over Aberdeen. Just get it over the line. There always seems to be that one team in the league that has out number each year. Aberdeen seem to be that one this year.1 point

Shaw had his tongue in his cheek; he was no anarchist but an odd mix of Fabian and right wing (he believed in eugenics, long now discredited, though come to think of it, maybe not a bad idea for that character on the Keltic video the other day).1 point

I can suggest a reading list, if you will. Starting with, "The Revolutionist's Handbook" by George Bernard Shaw.1 point

With everything in society some of the downfalls tend to be magnified when it comes to football. We have seen many examples of two tiered policing in the news recently without going into anything political. Especially around the protests in London. Got a jihadist flag? Fine. Got an England flag or a Union flag? Lifted. Not to hard to see how this can be applied by over zealous jobsworths on football fans who seem to be perceived by the powers that be as the lowest echelon of society. If you want to fix an issue with football supporters fix the issue in general society. Anything else is just lazy. The dumbing down of your rank and file copper over the years is another issue. Suppose it makes them easier to manipulate if they cant be pragmatic or apply common sense.1 point

There’s a not displeasing spontaneity about that but imagine sitting at home, making your wee flag or even worse, spending money buying one then toting it on to the ‘bus and fluttering at the ground while you’re waiting for your team to score a goal. May as well take your library book if you’re not all that interested in the football.1 point

When I was a teenager chants of 'If you hate the Glasgow polis, clap your hands', were common place. Glasgow being replaced by Edinburgh, Dundee, Paisley whatever, depending where we were that day. I don't agree with the premise, I didn't agree with it back then either, but it's football and perhaps not to be taken too seriously.1 point
