  1. It was noted in the first post. English clubs pay inflated transfer sums. Now go and molest someone else.

  2. The Newsquest/National connection is too much for me and I stay well away from it. There's enough content elsewhere, particularly on H&H, to keep me happy....although it's disappointing to me that H&H (and others, including the club) have dealings with RR.

  3. Clement told us in his interview he is more-or-less sticking with what he has inherited. Said he likes to work with players and developing them rather than having a large turnover during transfer windows. I don't think our board can promise any new manager a "war-chest" as one simply isn't there and at this point in time, we have very few sellable assets.

  4. I don’t see the point in these friendly “learning” games if the team we put out bears no resemblance to what would be our best 11. Also players/managers/clubs complain about too many games and yet we play France & England.

  5. There is just not very much of interest to say or ask about. Even fan media becomes painfully dull after a little while.

  6. Newsquest. They help support the loss-making The National "newspaper". The Rangers Review is far from independent.

  7. Tbf surely if he turns a load of freebies, loan-to-buys and young talents into multi million pound sales then there'd be a few top clubs wanting him because of it. The challenge is tougher up here granted but I wouldn't say its any less rewarding if you get it right - if you succeed with us as a DoF then you could work at and succeed with any club in Europe I reckon, especially considering the budget constraints and markets we're in for talent.

  8. I disagree. Pressers can help set the mood between fans and any new manager and boy do we need that connection at the moment.

  9. I feel players who play in these masks have to do the Zorro 'Z' as a a goal celebration

  10. Pressers are generally a series of uninteresting questions and similarly uninteresting answers...on repeat. Let's just see what happens on the pitch.

  11. I watched Phil's presser. Seems like he understands the CF that he has walked into. One big vibe I am getting is that he is a football guy who has zero interest in the "Glasgow Fishbowl" drama...BS. None of those same worn out phrases. He gives off an impassionate 'doctor' vibe. Which normally would make him a bit...blah. However, since the experience with the carnival barker, it is a welcome change. He is a professional manager, directing another team, in another league. Let's see.

  12. Just continue my personal boycott with the knowledge that my standards are higher than H&H's 🤣🤣

  13. Simple job win games and play attractive attacking football weed out the slackers and get rid of any cliques kick a few arses tell a few home truths and all will be well .

  14. To be fair he was carrying a big load in a number of games where he was played out of position, the set up was wrong and players were poor.

  15. Do people actually believe what managers and players say during press conferences?

  16. He’s already made his first mistake by giving them a clean bill of health even the village idiot could tell you what we have in stock isn’t working so to carry on as was is just plain dumb we all know who’s not good enough and they should be shipped out at the next transfer window his loyalty will see him down the road with the previous managers

  17. His auld man wasn’t very nice about us I can recall. Not sure he’d leave Brighton when things are going so well to come to a footballing backwater. A big club yes but we don’t have the resources to make the most of his recruiting capabilities.

  18. It looks someone is in dire need of a Rangers game ...

  19. You said by all accounts. According to a poster on here and other rumours, he isn't, so we can exclude 'all' accounts and perhaps use 'most' or 'some' instead. Cannae beat a rumour fracas during an international break. 🤣

  20. He’s a cracking keeper so hope you are right. We will find out when the window shuts in Jan.

  22. We shouldn't entertain anything less the £8M for Butland. Given its Rooney and Birmingham, maybe nothing less than £15M. West Brom Loyal 😀

  25. That’s all true. But in my opinion they create good content and I get the impression the likes of Derek Clark, Chris Jack and Josh Barrie are genuine supporters. I’ll keep my powder dry on Johnny MacFarlane 😂

  26. Let’s be honest. What we have should be enough to challenge on all fronts. We have some real quality in the squad. We just need them fit and firing. I don’t think we need a war chest to improve the squad in January. Look what Beale brought in for buttons in January of this year.

  27. I wonder what we told Gerrard and Beale because, since SG's first couple of windows, we haven't had a big net spend. We've had a couple of windows since the EL final and since we sold Bassey and Pattterson. Put simply, we don't have much to spend, despite what Bisgrove says.

  28. Herald Group. yes but they didn’t ask mind numbing ‘I don’t care about my job’ questions. They regularly have live conversations on YouTube about Rangers where it’s hard to feign interest.

  32. I’m one of the ragers. He’s had a day and a half to get things sorted. I wanted him to say Tav is never a captain and well past his best, Goldson’s been at it, the rest of the defence is one footed but he’s got five specialist defenders all comfortable going forward who can come in tomorrow and he knows a way round the registration rules, Dessers and Lammers are eejits and are as good as gone. He said none of that. Muscat in NOW.

  33. Then don’t. Not really difficult logic is it.

  34. I don't think we should get too precious about these things. Cantwell is clearly a bit of a heart-on-sleeve sort of bloke and the last thing anyone should do is stifle his natural exuberance.
