People who believe anything they read in the Sun usually have already had a lobotomy5 points

He doesn't/didn't! He made a point of saying he is not the type of manager who wants wholesale changes (players wise). I thought it was a very good 1st public interview, no soundbites, the 4 pillers is an interesting concept and telling he said he wants players who aren't afraid to make mistakes, but when they do, the react the correct way. There are too many of our players who have adopted a 'play safe' attitude ad they are terrified to make a mistake as the crowd automatically get on their backs. I'm not expected mega-change player wise, just a change in attitude, fitness and mentality.4 points

I'm impressed. We now have a manager who knows what he wants and, as importantly, how to get it. Let time be our friend with Clement, and I am confident he will bring success to this club.3 points

I’m one of the ragers. He’s had a day and a half to get things sorted. I wanted him to say Tav is never a captain and well past his best, Goldson’s been at it, the rest of the defence is one footed but he’s got five specialist defenders all comfortable going forward who can come in tomorrow and he knows a way round the registration rules, Dessers and Lammers are eejits and are as good as gone. He said none of that. Muscat in NOW.3 points

I'd argue that we had it under Gerrard. I was expecting it under Beale after pre-season but it just never appeared.3 points

You wouldn't need to be a brain surgeon to work out that Butland, and many others, wouldn't be happy. Michael Beale brought them to the club and then things turned extremely nasty. I have never, in 55 years of going to Ibrox, experienced such a toxic environment. I hope that the new boss can reassure him that the losers in front of him shape up or they are gone.3 points

I am pretty certain that "Auf geht's!" is correct for "Auf geht es!" and "Let's go!" is correct for "Let us go!". But if you would see how people use the English Genitive ' for German abbreviations these days ... 😭 (I blame the schools, TV, internet ... )2 points

Fully agree mate, it was pretty much the same questions but from different angles outwith the independent rangers media (fan media). I'm happy with his unveiling tbf, he's hammering home some points early on in regards to mentality and knows that this side need a lot of work to achieve what he wants (4 pillars). Nothing outlandish either. Looking forward to Saturday - hopefully we'll see some embryonic changes of style, I'm not expecting anything huge but even if it's just less crosses then I'm sold haha.2 points

Great interview from both men imo. The more I get to know the new Manager the more excited I am. His calm self assuredness in his methods makes me look forward to this new chapter in the history of the Famous Glasgow Rangers. WATP2 points

Let's not quibble. Most people can't spell apostrophe, let alone use one properly. In this case however, dB is correct in both languages.2 points

Where does the figure of £20m come from? Oh I see, you think you read it somewhere. Why are people so keen to pick up any vague rumour and breathe life into it? Ridiculous.2 points

I think I read that there was a bust up (?) with Butland some time ago. Beale was still the trainer. Clement has a good knowledge of the Belgian league, and more. 20 million is a lot of money and I assume that Clement knows a good replacement or two from the continent that is much cheaper.2 points

Re automisms these have been recognisable in football for decades eg we have seen it from Bayern back in the 1980s . i couldn’t honestly claim any our teams have had genuine clever movement since Dick Advocaat’s regime and tbh I really miss that facet of the game . is that a football trend or just our clubs limitations ?2 points

If we get offered good money for him, and our new DoF 🙏🏻 has a good alternative, off we go. Its what we should have done with others in the last couple of years2 points

I don't think we did run automatisms under Gerrard. Perhaps in the pressing triggers, but we were mainly well organised, had a very good rest defence (the much maligned three sitting DMs!!), used the FBs exceptionally well to create chances alongside the two #10s. It was still based on individuals, but we had a good underlying structure to support them. Beale knew this. I still cannot fathom how he couldn't replicate a little of those ideas.2 points

Bit annoying that Raman asked a question that had already been asked. The mainstream media guys asked some pretty obvious questions the manager had already answered in his interview on Sky and his opening statements. The questions from David Edgar, Josh Barrie and Chris Jack were the only decent questions asked. I get these things are a tick box exercise and you don’t get much from it but they could at least act professional. They really are total clowns. Manager did fine stock answers but no problems with anything he said.1 point

All players have their price - someone offers £20M for any of our players, there us only one outcome.1 point

It would be a strange move selling the one player who’s shown consistency since the beginning of the season . It would also seem strange that the new manager would have accepted the job knowing that the club intends to sell their best player.1 point

Take money. Buy forwards. Constructive dismissal for Dessers and Lammers.1 point

That's the thinking probably. I read years ago that the Bayern players really struggled with Peps coaching for the first few months tbf - not making the comparison between coaches but.1 point

I saw Roofe posted an Instagram clips reel of himself at St Mirren last week. He hardly touched the ball! Footballers are a right bunch of fuds nowadays.1 point

We shouldn't underestimate the gap that Gerrard left either. He was a hero to the players; a leader capable of inspiring the dressing room and instilling team spirit. He always seemed able to get the players to give a bit extra.1 point

Despite the clear and obvious failings of previous managerial appointments, I think no one should be criticising the board for their efforts this time. This is no lazy experiment driven by old-boy association. They've flushed out as high a calibre of manager as we could reasonably have hoped for. I hope, as the months pass, we see a significant improvement in the fairly lacklustre squad he's been left to work with. However, it takes a dedicated optimist to think some of our duds will ever perform to expectations.1 point
