  1. Alex Lowry is a heads up player. I ask my fellow Rangers supporters to allow this lad to develop, I am sure we will all be beneficiaries.

  2. He's deffo a Rangers player - every corner he's taken has hit the 1st defender.

  3. Tottenham were garbage last season. They looked like they needed a complete clear out. They signed a couple of players (two starters) and lost Kane, but mainly have the same team. They are top of the league. A competent manager makes a big difference.

  4. Motm by the bbc today, not bad for a young boy in his first Derby! Hopefully can do the same for us in the OF eh. This loan will do him the world of good - I actually think he's been managed okay by Hearts. It's pretty much his first full season in senior football - he was never fully in the squad with us whereas he is at Hearts, let the boy play.

  5. An appointment like that will set our club back another 10 years. He was out of date 20 years ago never mind now.

  6. The thing about St Johnstone having two trophies over the same period is a perfectly valid point. We have severely underachieved over the years.

  7. When you sit and think about it, 2 trophies in over a decade with our budget and turnover is disgraceful.

  8. Wouldn't that make a fine statement to our misfiring prima donas. And Scott Wright as captain to make sure there's no misunderstanding.

  9. No Rice, McKinnon, Yfeko, Lovelace or McCausland in the B-team for today's game. Imagine seeing all those tomorrow! Unlikely, but I can dream...

  10. So are Hearts Hibs-ing it 😀

  11. Agree, after the threat of Lampost we'd take any bugger they give us.

  12. Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers wouldn't get in the Hearts team

  13. Is it though? Beaten by Kilmarnock, beaten by Aberdeen at home 3-1, beaten by the weakest celtic team in a decade, pumped by PSV, beaten by a team lower ranked than Progres Niederkorn. Type of results not seen since before Gerrard joined us in 2018.

  14. Good but one swallow does not make a summer. Long may he keep it up. And then come back to us.

  15. I do. Davies was long ago identified as a whipping boy and no amount of good performances will change the opinion of those who want him dropped. In reality, the form of Tav and Goldson has been no better than Davies but you won't see the same clamour to drop them because they don't have a label round their neck saying "scapegoat, blame me".

  16. Thursday night proved Davis and Rae aren't going to improve performances. We need someone in before the Hibs game.

  20. Pretty sure them and Rangers news are either run by Celtic fans or are just massive Rangers apologists.

  22. Bloody McInnes. As far as I recall, his Aberdeen teams lay down, spread their legs, and allowed the fhilth to take their pleasure (and their three points) in any manner they wished. It seemed that his 'dandy Dons' felt they were unworthy of sharing a pitch with the pederasts. When they ran out to face us, mirabile dictu, a different side, with a different mind set, emerged from the tunnel, and we were treated to a cup tie, clogfest, of a match, within which they gave no quarter. At least Ferguson's teams kicked lumps out of both us and the bheasts. Let's consign Del to the dustbin of history.

  23. The correct time to get McInnes was right after Warburton left. He would have made us stronger on a small budget and weakened the then 2nd best team in Scotland Aberdeen. He wouldn't have been a long term appointment but IMO the doings off them would have stopped and we would have significantly improved without maybe providing a solid title challenge. Then setting up the scene for another manager to build off that. His time is well gone and he done a great job at Aberdeen but is just doing OK at Killie.

  27. I hear you but I think we need context. They've all come into a highly dysfunctional team with a manager who was making it up as he went along. I'll reserve my overall judgement until I see them in a functional team with a manager with a plan. Even Dessers.

  28. It's a tough one. I'd argue that Muscat's loyalty to his current club is a positive trait. And there are great value signings to be had in the Asian market, so his knowledge in that area could be a real positive. What do we do for the next few months though? There's too much at stake for us to have a rookie caretaker manager over that period.

  29. Check the Rangers Review podcast on You Tube. They are doing separate videos on potential managers linked. They are also doing one with Thomas Buffel talking about Clement. Derek Clark on there can be rather annoying but the other guys are very astute IMO. (Joshua Barrie, Adam Thornton, Stevie Clifford etc.) Not sure if I'm allowed to post direct links to rival podcasts?

  30. I think Muscat is worth waiting for tbh. I was already keen on him but after listening to a podcast with a Japanese football expert I'm 100% sold. He sounds like the perfect antidote to aimless and passionless rubbish we've had to endure. I also get the feeling that if we don't get him, someone else will.

  31. I've merged the Clement and Lampard threads into this one. We have too many threads essentially dealing with the same topic. This will be the main 'manager search' thread.

  32. And enlighten me we’re have all the twats that play your so called modern play it out from the back put us I’ll tell you on the slide downwards at least Sam knows how to set a team up not the shambolic excuse for a team I’m watching. It might be okay playing tippy tippy play it out of defence if we had players like Madrid or Barca but we’re a wee Scottish club struggling to put out a team to get the point tomorrow at Paisley.

  33. You are actually talking sense but we are too far down the road for that now.

  34. Maybe Lampard just got cold feet: Watched the match last night, and thought "I don't want to give what is left of my managerial career the coup de grace, by trying to make a football side out of that dross.
