First I've heard about this - that's awful at his age. When he first arrived at Ibrox, he seemed almost superhuman - those turns!7 points

It's such a sad and inevitable reality that every lifelong partnership has to end with one partner passing first and the other left behind to mourn.5 points

As a vote of confidence in the heroes of Limassol, I suggest the following couldn't do any worse. Imagine the joy of not seeing Tavernier, Goldson, Barisic, Lundstram, Dessers or Lammers. Butland Devine - Souttar - Balogun - Yilmaz Raskin - Jack - Rice Sima - Roofe - McAusland4 points

If it is Lampard, why don't we just cut out the usual 10 months of hesitation and just start booing the twat right away? I'm so sick of this. Only Rangers could appoint a universally unpopular manager.4 points

Looks like we are being coached by Steve Davis the snooker player at times. He plays faster.4 points

Lads, we were boggin from the first second to the last. Seen a stat going round that said we won 7 tackles (38%). That just confirms what we all think - they shat out of it tonight. I said on here that some of the kids should be integrated for the rest of the season by the new gaffer and I stand by it - if we're going to see fuck ups at least let it be done with zest and a smidgeon of hope that the player will develop. Fair play to Sima too - was given a graveyard shift by endless long punts over his head to chase and looked the only one arsed.4 points

Ironically it would have united the support. Now we can get back to fighting amongst ourselves - as it should be.3 points

I'll never want to see Tav, Golson, Barisic selected again. They haven't been worthy of a Rangers shirt for a long time and I genuinely believe we'll never win anything else whilst they remain first team players. So If I were Davo/Rae, I'd bring in Souttar to his preferred RCB slot, Balogun to partner him on the left - both will be more capable than Goldson/Davies. If Ridvan is fit, he should start and Sterling to be given a shot in his natural RB position. Jack to come back in the CDM along with Raskin and Rice in a midfield 3 and give McCausland a start in a forward three with Roofe playing middle and Sima on the left. 4-3-3. Butland Sterling - Souttar - Balogun - Yilmaz Raskin - Jack - Rice McCausland - Roofe - Sima However, Davis will never make these changes unfortunately.3 points

@26th of foot has launched a milan missile left over from his old job at the unanimous vote. A fair and even minded moderator is entitled to discard 26th’s vote for McAusland because he did not play the whole match. A substitute must play more than sixty minutes or do something exceptional in a shorter time to be eligible. Either that or just retrospectively ban the bamstick.3 points

I thought Davies was really poor last night. Our back four looked terrified at times.3 points

I'd love to see that happen as well but you know fine well Steve Davis is not the man to make wholesale changes. These failures are all his teammates. I will doubt if there are more than 3 changes from Limassol to Paisley.3 points

Most depressing thing was hearing Davis say the players gave him effort!3 points

One simple question why are our players so slow we conduct our build up at geriatric pace3 points

I think it's obvious Steve Davis and Derek Rae are not the men to get this squad doing the business. The question is, can anyone do it? That first half performance last night was one of the worst I can ever remember.3 points

The opening ten minutes told you everything you needed to know. Grim that we never seem capable of changing a game.3 points

Guessing you're on about Simon Jordan? Sometimes he speaks sense but he can run his mouth a fair bit - although I recall him having doubts over Beale from the start. He's very much for the Rangers Da I think. If we're after a caretaker I'd take McInnes tbh - if not keep him away from Ibrox.2 points

Frank Lampard 5/6 Philippe Clement 4/1 Kevin Muscat 5/1 If this is the shortlist, there's a clear winner. And then an easy second. Then waaaaaaaay, waaaaaaay, waaaaaaaaay down in last is Lampost.2 points

Aye but putting in Devine and McCausland should be done mate - especially if we lose at the weekend, the league will be a write off. Put Souttar in for Goldson as well. It'll be some laugh when Tav is doing an event in 6 years with 5 stars sat next to Barry Ferguson talking about the covid season, I'd be embarrassed to listen.2 points

Thing is, till the transfer window he's in no position to make changes. Whoever takes over should bring back Hagi and Lowry from loan if possible.2 points

They would be mistaken for Orangemen, in this country. The opposition players would have to stop to let them walk past, and the goal would be at their mercy.2 points

I'm warming to Clement. The players clearly, were confused by Beale, and I think that they would benefit, now, from a little Belgian surrealism in strategy, tactics, and team talks: pour exemple C'est ne pas une balle (As that great coach Magritte would have said, if he had been interested in Scottish Fitba'.)2 points

It's staggering to think how much money we spend during the summer on complete duds. Beale's legacy is going to haunt us for years to come.2 points

A couple of vintage Mols twists and turns and that tumour won't know where it is. All the best Michael!2 points

I'm of the opinion that our defence looked so bad because they were exposed by the structure in front; the best defenders in the world struggle when they are isolated - and we have ... poor, to say the least, one-on-one defenders. We were playing a 4-4-2, with wide players that didn't track back and we didn't press as a team to overcome that weakness; it was basically a couple of forwards, with our wide men floating wherever, leaving a double pivot with too many to mark and thus, our defence were at their mercy.2 points

I feel worse today than I did last night. Aside from Butland, Sima and Raskin the rest are losers. I would get rid of the rest of them at the end of the season or sooner if possible. It is definitely time to introduce some of the kids and other players who are not featuring. Is it possible to sack football players for not performing?2 points

They were dreadful. Goldson stalled about like he wished he was anywhere else. I know it's like a stuck record but I'm sick of seeing Tavernier just going through the motions and looking less like a captain than anyone I've seen wear that armband.2 points

It wont make the slightest bit of difference who the manager is they will still be stuck with a shower of shitebags2 points

The thing we should be looking at is the character of the next manager. We need someone, who can motivate and is not afraid to drop people. I must admit, I doubted Gerrard, was excited when we got GVB and then Beale. Both had been around the block a few times, had learnt from different managers, different countries etc. However after listening to them, watching their tactics (and lack of plan b) , have now become more jaded with it all. My feeling is that while it would be good to have a Clement/gallardo, is worry about things being lost in translation. So for me, .. I'm leaning towards Muscat,.2 points

I haven't got a preference or a clue who would be best suited to come in and get a tune out of this lot. Thinking as i used to manage a boys club for a number of years with no DOF in place with me handling recruitment, team selection, tactics, funding, washing and ironing strips (with help from my missus of course) ensuring pitch was lined and playable, fighting with the odd parent etc i could possibly be in with a shout.2 points

Find an experienced manager who is a proven winner and that can work with a limited budget. I don’t envy the board’s job, but essentially that is what we require to get out of this mess. Either that or we need to get lucky again like we did with Gerrard.2 points
-
I'm sure the right manager can do it. Think of the turnaround from Pedro to Gerrard. Tav and Alfie, for example, went from the abject display in Luxembourg, to top performers in the Europa League. It won't be easy to replicate that, but we've seen that it can be done.2 points

Players are a lazy cynical bunch, they won't play for an interim manager because they know he isn't there long term and so can't affect their futures one way or the other.2 points

I just saw a video of Clement talking. He sounds like he’s got a blender stuck in his throat, so it’s a no from me.2 points

Managers are not allowed to say nothing like Van Bronckhorst. Managers are not allowed to say too much like Beale. Managers are not allowed to give the stock response like Davis.2 points

He is probably pissed off at the club. I would be. That guy is not a manager. But he is a man who stepped up. Appointing Steven Davis as Rangers manager is like putting a pipefitter in charge of an oil refinery because he has 'worked around' some great division heads. It's GD cruel if you wanna be truthful about it. You wanna be mad at anyone be mad at the genius who called him at midnight (intentionally) in probably a dead sleep to give him the splendid news. I tell you right now I have had that shit pulled on me before and it is brutal. You nut up and get er done the best you can. Davis has big respect from me.2 points
