They don't have to be perfect. They don't even have to be good. All they have to be is better than us and right now we're making that very easy for them.4 points

I can't even find the energy to get annoyed about results and performances whilst Beale remains manager. He's the Cockney Caixinha.4 points

We found Colak (who did a fine job at Premiership level) and Sakala (who did a fine job at Premiership level) not good enough (raked in 7,5m), and brought in Lammers and Dessers for a combined 8,5m. We sent Hagi packing for no obvious reason whatsoever, after already letting Lowry out on loan. Injuries were bound to happen, did happen and those we have left are not up to what is required, starting with the captain. BTW, two of their goals were still a comedy of luck and errors. You don't get these very often. Back in the day, Walter's Rangers were "hammered" 0-3 at Ibrox by Hibs (Ivan Sproule) and Hearts (Allan Johnston, methinks), so this comes close to that. Still, I would be surprised if Beale was still the manager by Monday.4 points

I dont see what getting rid of Bisgrove would achieve. Its not the board -its the manager3 points

They are never far away from the car park. They dislike Rodgers, they dislike lawwell, the dislike the other guy. However as long as we implode they will be kept at bay.3 points

All of it. It's damaging to sack managers, so we should stick with a failing manager? It doesn't make sense.3 points

It's not humble pie to have not wanted Beale to be sacked. I voted no but at the same time I'm not fond of Beale and I had little hope of him turning it around. However, I think it's damaging to our club to be sacking a manger a few games into the season, personally I believe it will turn off a lot of potential targets. Now, it's clear he isn't going to be able to turn it around. But I don't think anyone should be eating humble pie.3 points

You're right and it didn't just happen today. It's looked a very unhappy camp for weeks now. Beale is finished, we're just watching the death throes and waiting for the end.3 points

What a brutal week, you are not alone. I think Rangers need someone who knows how Scottish football works, not someone who has to learn it again. And someone who can make hard decisions. Rangers cannot be a project for upstarts and hopefuls, academy coaches and trainers. I heard of that Potter guy, but der Berliner also told me of McCann, one of your former players. He will know the game and the club. Perhaps until someone else has been found. Watched only 30 minutes today. Aberdeen were lucky with their goals, but you could see that they wanted it more too. From that point of view, they deserved the result. It would be a less hard lesson if the Rangers players had shown the same will to win. This is something a new coach has to weed out. Too many lack enthusiasm and spirit. Cantwell and Sakala have/had that. And Hagi.3 points

This could be perfect timing. We need a D.O.F, we need a manager, why not appoint D.O.F/Manager pairing. A pair who have worked well together at another club. As for this "poison chalice" stuff, that is not the case. At Rangers a good, experienced manager can fight for four trophies a year, earn a good salary and put himself in the England/European shop window.2 points

Yip, and all those decision need to be made at boardroom level. We'll see over the next days and weeks how capable the board are2 points

I think a few of us are flying round in circles of frustration and lashing out/arguing but we all want the same thing(s). No one is saying the board is doing a great job. No one is saying Beale is doing a good job. Some quick fixes and longer term solutions are needed.2 points

It’s not a case of chasing them it’s about them realising they don’t have what it takes to make football operations decisions and appoint people who do. They put their money in yeah fair play but it doesn’t make them capable. I could buy an aircraft tomorrow but I can’t fly it so should hire a pilot.2 points

What this thread shows is what an absolute clusterfuck our club is. Shambles from top to bottom2 points

Our problems:- Beale/the long term full backs/being the main ones,I have hope when some of the injuries improve we might as well. If we do not get rid of Beale and at least strip our woeful captain of the armband and give Devine/Sterling a chance at full back.2 points

I’m led to believe if we sack Beale within his first year we don’t pay compensation2 points

See the Aberdeen players passing the ball around with no challenges at the end of the game. That's a huge part of what's wrong with Rangers, from the boardroom to the pitch - no pride, no passion, no fight whatsoever. Getting humiliated at home to a poor sheep team and not giving a fuck. I'm sick of the lot of them.2 points

apparently its our fault for booing them off! Away and take a run and jump Mr Beale2 points

One thing that’s noticeable is the lack of leadership on the park we don’t have a single player who can drive us forward grab the game by the neck most of them just don’t have the heart to be winners and that’s a sad day for a Rangers team as we always had wholehearted players who never gave up .2 points

I was one (a few games into the season, not just after Malmo and certainly not before we won the league), but I never thought he'd be sacked because the results were still fine - it was the performances that dipped. He was then offered the Villa job and left. I was content.2 points
-
Not as much of a shock as watching fans refuse to support him being sacked because it might not produce perfection overnight. The first step is getting rid of a useless manager, only then can anyone contemplate another future, which might be better or might be worse but at least it won't be the same.2 points

Gladly, but I’m jumping out before the car goes over the cliff!2 points

But allow a DoF a free rein? We let Wilson sign players like Ramsey who Gio never wanted. Others too. The root of the problem is we decided to replace a manager who got us to a European final & won the SC and replace him with a rookie. It’s failed spectacularly since he started letting players leave & replacing them with duds2 points

They won't sack him but if they do they will appoint someone useless on the basis of being a "Rangers man".2 points

I’d be surprised if they sack him, they are as clueless about running a football club as he is at managing a team. Clowns from board room to changing room.2 points

I hope you are right. We need a solid, experienced manager in my opinion. No more risks.2 points

That's poor man-marking from Cifu (?), but should there not be zonal cover too? He just ambled into open space.2 points

Beale will get sacked sooner rather than later but those hoping that will signify a change in fortunes and having us dominating Scottish Football are in for a shock.1 point
