The sources for those 'reports' can be best described as questionable. No way are we getting Potter and I'm not sure why we'd want Eustace.7 points

I suppose there’s still time for Roofe and Souttar to get injured before the game3 points

Sending Hagi out on loan was a ridiculous move and looks more and more like an act of petty spite by Beale.3 points

I'm open to correction but I make it that's a full pre-season suite warm ups and 9 competitive games so far this season and that's more than enough time for professional players to have settled in and be delivering on the pitch ... and plenty time for a manager with a clear vision to get his squad dancing to his tune. I've waited with hope for some sign of it every game and it's just not there, not even a hint of it.2 points

I can remember when we played far better football on much worse pitches. It's a lame excuse.2 points

If you ignore the matches versus that lot, it's not bad. For a Rangers manager to be successful, now more than ever, he has to be beating Celtc regularly. Beale couldn't even beat them when they were missing their central defence, at Ibrox, with no away fans. Totally unacceptable!2 points

I seriously don't think Potter would be interested at this time since he is still being paid by Chelsea. At least that is what I heard about the guy. If true, would you cancel out that kinda scratch to come up to Planet Glasgow?2 points

Pre-planned subs can get in the bin. Nonsensical.2 points

There is a third option .... that he doesn't actually have any ideas and the proposition that he was the brains behind Gerrard is a complete myth.2 points

I was on the fence for a while. A couple of reasons being, it's early in the season, and worried that we would be seen (as someone said above) that we would be seen as a poisoned chalice. Which I suspect is why some people voted no. Personally I voted in the end for him to go. Watching the Kilmarnock/Celtic games, I couldn't see any style or cutting edge. Either the players are not listening to him, or he can't communicate his ideas to them. He's also left yilmaz out of the Europa squad, let hagi (cantwell injury)go out on loan to. Listening to heart on hand podcast, I have to agree with some points. He was backed by the board. These are the players he wanted. They were brought in to play a certain formation/style. This hasn't happened. Danilo is left on the bench. All bizarre.2 points

Hopefully Cantwell not being there and taking all the responsibility of doing thing's on the pitch makes those who drift though games wake up and take some of the burden. We need 11 players who view it as their responsibility to alter the game. For me Cantwell is the total opposite of what I thought he was when he arrived he has drive ability and aggression for me he is the future captain he is someone who leads by example.2 points

I actually don't care. I'm that depressed about the whole season. Four (league) games in...2 points

I mean this in a nice way but Beale could do with a handbrake option for his gub.1 point

Tbh I'd like to know what he think his best team is too. I thought they went remarkably easy on him.1 point

Yes but I'm sure the manager will have equipped us with adequate replacements for the loss of a creative attacking midfielder.1 point

I don't think so either. But that's just a personal opinion and I'm not trying to give it credibility by referring to "reports".1 point

Absolutely this by the way. I've always said that I don't think the players under Gio either could do what he wanted or he couldn't break it down for them. It's a telltale sign that Beale is always exasperated saying 'we didn't get up to the ball' or things like it. He's said it a few times after an OF if I recall rightly. Whilst he's responsible for coaching his ideas and style, ultimately if the players go out on the pitch and can't/won't do it then you're f***ed. We need a big turnaround anyway.1 point

I wish some ‘no’ voters would explain what it is they’ve seen in Beale that justifies giving him more time.1 point

Aye that's the crux of it for me, the season is still there to be attacked - if we have a horror uel start and get papped out of the LC then it probably is terminal. Too early for me yet though.1 point

With Hagi gone, I'd be looking to play Lammers in behind Danilo and Dessers. With regards to what will actually happen, I'm not sure even Michael Beale knows, as he seems to chop and change a lot, without much reasoning. 60 minute subs will be used though, at least we can be sure of that.1 point

I haven't voted and I'm on the side of thinking Beale can't turn this around. However, I'm concerned we are becoming a poisoned chalice, eventually most managers will not consider us worth the risk. On paper, when you look at Gio's sacking it looks quite extreme (although we all know how poor our domestic form was), he had just taken us to the Europa League final. Only Gerrard has had any sort of longevity in recent seasons and I think a lot of potential managers will look at that and wonder if it's worth risking their career over. In a way I feel the board has to give Beale time so that we don't look like a basket case club that sacks managers on a whim. It's not a great position to be in.1 point

“Damn few an’ they’re a’ deid” is the traditional response. I’d prefer “Damn few an’ nae deid yet”. Bit more optimistic.1 point

If Williamson were referring to Bannockburn he should have remembered that the losers, although indeed an army of Edward, the Edward in question wasn’t all that proud. The proud one had died seven years before on his way to hammer us again. If he’s referring to Stirling Bridge the vanquished army was one of proud Edward’s right enough but it might have been the second eleven because the big team were in Europe that day. And we lost the replay at Falkirk. Puir auld Scotland, eh?1 point

Those days are passed now And in the past they must remain But we can still rise now And be a nation again Seems fairly clear that the rising is talking about present day (note the use of "now") and not the Battle of Flodden.1 point

Back in the day, some mob would line up with their hands over their hearts and sing the national anthem of Jebrovia : We all carry big chibs in Jebrovia we fcuk the Ruritanians every time, we fcuk their wives in the arse, and drink myrtle brose and electric wine. It is forty - odd years since Billy Connolly suggested the the theme to the Archers should be our National Anthem. I can live with that; however, back in my professional days we would occasionally work with Scots Regiments ie the Black Watch, Gordon Highlanders, Royal Highland Fusiliers, etc and, they all sand a song with gusto that epitomised our nation. It was called, 'We're a Shower of Bastards'. I would like to propose this ditty as our new anthem, do I have a seconder? We're a Shower of Bastards, Bastards are we, we'd rather fcuk than fight, for liberty. We're happy, we're happy when the knob's on the job, we're happy, we don't give a fcuk for the syph' or the pox, our motto is spread disease. Straight to the heart and brings a tear to the eye.1 point

It still really annoys me that Beale turned his back on one of the few really talented players we have on the books. What the hell was he playing at?1 point

NB: While there is every reason to give Lowry game-time away from Ibrox, sending Hagi on loan too was a mistake. Maybe Lawrence and Lammers can cover for Cantwell, but his creativity is only rivalled by Hagi.1 point
