  1. I've heard they were there for the taking for the whole of last season, while they marched off with every trophy going and we came up with zip. They won't be there for the taking until we do what's required to take them. It's always best to do our gloating after the event.

  2. Tav and Borna, both of whom I expect to start tonight are going to have a tough time against Lang and Bakayoko. This is I hope Beale has a plan to nullify those players by doubling down on them, otherwise we'll be in for a long night. PSV will score, so I think it maybe a case of scoring more than them. I think we may need the pace of Sima and/or Matondo to make anything happen (though I don't think either will start) and Danilo and/or Dessers being clinical when chances come along. I'm relaxed about tonight. I desperately want us to make it to the CL, but would be more optimistic about our chances in the EL groups. I just want to see a a game plan from Beale that works, players linking well, a hunger to win every dual, 90 mins of effort from every one of our players, and regardless of the result I'll be content.

  3. I note he is from Wyoming, retains a house in Yellowstone. I suspect the Bears, Yogi and Bobo have been working on him. Halstead should be told, life at Rangers is no picnic basket.

  4. The Morelos revisionism stuff from some in our support is bizarre. He couldnt be arsed for a long time, still doesn't have a club and no one worth their salt will take him on. he has chucked away a potentially very good career. Its sad.

  5. Baffled by the Hagi love-in, he wasn't even a nailed on first teamer during 55 (at his best so far), more a rotation option.

  6. Cantwell is entertaining to watch. He chases around a lot. He winds up the opposition (both on field and off). He likes his flicks and tricks. But he ain't no Hagi.

  7. Aye, what a game Goldson had. I felt Tavernier was short-changed by Cifu' not covering space quick more than once but he should have sorted that out a lot quicker. No matter, Goldson was an absolute rock.

  8. Felt Dessers was a good focal point tonight, his pressing was also excellent which is I suspect why he was signed.

  9. Yep we went right at them instead of faffing about. Same again in Dingwall please.

  10. Have faith my fellow bears. We have hardly laid a glove on them and are 1 up. I feel we have defended well and if we press them they have (more) mistakes in them. I feel we need to play 15 yards higher up the pitch. Beale made the necessary shape changes before in Geneva. Hopefully he can do the same. And FFS lay off Dessers. He effectively pressing on his own. We need to press as a 3.

  16. They have been telling me for weeks that the team just needs to gel. This is going to happen tonight. I know this because Rangers is just about to announce its new Official Gelling Partner: Oh..... maybe that means we are going to get fucked.....

  19. Sifting through the Beeb Shortbread Sports App yesterday I came across an article "Rangers in CL Qualifying: PSV carry old and new threats". Time for revenge. The article boldly stated. What followed was an in-depth summary of the PSV squad, prefaced by a recap of 12 months ago. GVB v RVB. The latter left after winning a cup stating personal reasons. GVB was ejected after a CL campaign so bad that it broke all records. Vastly experienced Peter Bosz now in charge and he knows how to win games at Ibrox. He has PSV buzzing. Destroyed Sturm Graz last round. Tillman returns to Ibrox but not as Rangers fans hoped. The 1988 EC winners have only lost one match at home in 22 games. Extremely dangerous tie for Beale's side. Now, my assumption was this article had been penned by some Dutch PSV blogger. Scrolling back up to see who penned the article, shock! horror! None other than LIAM McLEOD. PQ's new cheerleader clearly behind all Scottish clubs quest for glory. Except for one of course. Absolutely disgusting article, the venom drips from every sentence!

  21. Yep, Connie's Life Coach company was called, 'Inner Buzz'. Her first contract was, ra Sellik. Remember, Paul McStay always insisted there be a buzz about the place.

  22. Quite a bizarre appointment, unless this signals a major transfer of ownership in the near future. To say he's merely being brought on board for his "strong business acumen" is tantamount to the current board admitting they don't already have this precious commodity .... which is the same as saying they lack confidence in where the club is heading. So that's clearly a complete crock. The other possibility is that a highly experienced private equity investor wants a seat on the board to provide assurance over a significant imminent investment. God willing this is indeed the case.

  25. This. I'm no hater, and he's certainly not been a failure, but he's been here for a few seasons now, and hasn't managed a sustained impact.

  26. The days under Anchelotti seem very far away. They need to sign some quality and not spend millions on rubbish like Deli Ali, Alex Iwobi, Neil Maupy etc

  28. I might be tempted to select Hagi before the disappearing Dutchman.

  29. As opposed to those being selected ahead of Hagi, who become worse players the more they play.

  31. Apologies - you're quite right about the details of the case. And I agree - the damning evidence is there for all to see despite Greenwood paying his way out of bother. The absence of a conviction may still limit what the club can say about him though.

  32. So now Hagi has become the latest player to become a better player the more he doesn't play. He's looked off the pace since returning from injury and look slow and languid. He never had pace to burn, but lost 1/2 yard. We wanted rid of all these failures, now we want to keep them. Make your mind up folks.

  33. He's still not 100% fit but in my opinion he's a clever player. His pass to wee Rabbi was a beauty.

  34. Two assists from Dessers tonight. I'm warming to the lad and I think he'll grow in this role. I prefer him to Danilo tbh.

  36. Don't get me wrong, not everything is coming off for Cantwell, but everything positive that we do goes through him.

  37. Seriously, look at the choreographed puckered features. I suspect both have just been informed they have appointments booked for 8am the next morning at the Endoscopy Suite. A metre and a half of fibre optic up the jacksie concentrates the mind.

  38. I'm going to be totally two faced compared to Saturday. I actually think we might sneak a result tonight

  39. I think you're misinterpreting some posts. Graeme just suggested if a player doesn't play, their value will decrease - that's just common sense. He didn't say Kamara should be playing.
