  3. This is like Forest Green getting excited because Man City are out of the FA Cup...

  4. I think we should face facts the manager is out of his depth and the board have committed a failure of duty by letting him but these players, it won't end well.

  6. This was a trophy we wanted to win to kick start the season properly, it’s now turned into a must win, and we cannot let this chance go. A win on the 3rd, and the first trophy of the season would be a huge boost for the squad, and the support. It would also be a massive opportunity for us to turn the pressure up on Brenda

  7. I recant everything I've said about MB. Sack him now and appoint McInnes....oh wait.....

  8. we should demand to be offered our allocation, take them through the SPFL board so that we get the offered and then when its finally 'legally' offered say "nah you're alright, your stadium is a shite hole, we just wanted you to be forced to offer us seats"

  10. Souness’ team got off to a shocking start on the basis of results but you could see what was coming in the style of play and individual performances. Durrant beat the tims in the first celtic match in October and my memory subject to correction is that Rangers were either top or close to top at the end of the year.

  13. Just to add (again), the drumming in the UB section is bloody awful. They can barely keep time and even if they could, it would still be awful. Unless we're going full flute band, get the drums to f**k and leave that crap to the South Americans (who are quite good at it).

  14. While Matondo was much improved and looked our main (only?) threat for an hour, his finishing is abysmal and so I’ve gone for Hagi. What a super player he is, and by all accounts a great post match interview as well. If Beale continues to ignore him it will cost us, and maybe him too.

  15. During Brendan's pre-match presser he was advocating Derek McInnes as the next Rangers Boss. Today's result is Brendan's way of reinforcing his suggestion.

  16. Us, Ross County, St Mirren and Killir in semi's and we'll still find a way not to win the bloody thing 😀

  17. God bless those Ayrshire Presbyterian, Masonic, Covenanter, Orange referees and linesmen. But seriously, though, when does the campaign to have plastic pitches banned (and the game replayed) commence?

  19. I'll tell you what Rangers fans really are. We're too often taken for granted, frequently let down by players who talk a great game but actually couldn't give a shit. We perennially suffer managers who stubbornly refuse to acknowledge mistakes and we're routinely served up utter shite in return for our unerring loyalty. So it's little wonder when Rangers fans sometimes get sick of the years of failure, watching our rivals hoover up trophy after trophy, season after season. There's now a deep and growing suspicion that the current regime is leading us nowhere and the frustration is building. Are you saying we should sit and sing platitudes in return? Or beat a fukking drum like performing seals?

  20. Not really the place for it, but I thought it was funny: a brutally honest manager: Lyon were pumped 1-4 by Montpellier yesterday. When asked what had to be changed, manager Laurent Blanc replied, “You have to change the manager.” He was then asked if he wanted to leave Lyon, to which he responded, “No, but you’re asking me what has to be done, and I’m saying you might have to change the manager.”

  22. Ima shoot you straight. Fascination and corollary are not necessarily linked. Ange is simply the most apt comparison to where we are at. Any insinuation of heresy, or a turncoat mentality for logical, critical thought is asinine. Actually, I can find no other more appropriate example as Souness coached in a time where things were very different at Rangers. The fat Greek lost three of his first six league games. However his team outscored opposition 16-4 over those first six. To include two 6-0 wins. Those are green shoots, those are signs that a system is in work and a transition is taking place...progress. This team are not showing ANY signs of progress. To make matters worse Beale took his last opportunity to set a shaky squad in prior to a monster (no exaggeration) game against PSG. He played a team packed with bench players who are even less 'gelled' resulting in a near loss. Thus robbing his true first string of that last opportunity to set in. Make no mistake about it, PSG and probably gonna beat the breaks off our ass on Tuesday, and then Beale will be on life support. I don't want it...but it's lookin that way.

  23. Rangers support are psychotic - spend 10mins on here and you'll see that. Ibrox can be a brilliant place to watch football, it can also be a horrible place. The difference is usually how the team are doing. I don't believe calling our players "c<nts", "lazy barstewards", "w@nkers" is the best way to support the team. Maybe I'm wrong tho.

  24. In response to your above two posts: Let's not exaggerate otherwise the point will be missed. What the fans want and deserve and, IMO, are realistic about it, is the minimum standard that a Rangers as a club should be aiming for: 1. a team that can compete for all honours domestically and not allow the bheasts to continue mopping up trebles to their rotten hearts' desire - we need to start winning titles regularly, not one every nine years, and 2. continue to build reputation in European competition and make enough cash to continue to improve the team as required to keep us winning trophies is Scotland. In winning 55, we had the opportunity to achieve that standard, but then we f*cked it by not building on that success. The team crumbled and has now been rebuilt. It's not about instant gratification, it's about instant success. The support has been patient. Name another support base that has given as much considering what we've been through? Two titles, 5 trophies in total, now bagged across the city, since 55. If not now, when? We have been patient, too f*cking patient IMO.

  25. Depends on your definition of support. It is better than howling abuse at our players for a misplaced pass.

  26. Ah the modern Rangers fan attitude brought up with mediocrity and willing to accept it by the lorry load the attitude of losers it's like running a business you get it wrong sometimes but a good man soon see's that and takes action I am now to old to have patience.

  28. Tuchel and Guardiola are two of the most controlling managers in world football, so your point that 'we [are] making a simple game far too complicated' doesn't match your examples. What we need is an effective manager.

  29. After watching Bayern dominate Bremen on Friday and then Phil Foden pull the strings v Newcastle last night, it is even more evident that we making a simple game far too complicated.

  30. There are various matches around the world where away fans are banned (Ajax v Feyenoord and River Plate v Boca Juniors are well known examples). I'm content with yahoos never setting foot in Ibrox again. They are scum and should be dealt with accordingly.

  33. Some of things that get shouted at matches are questionable - one wonders why some people bother going to games when it makes them so miserable. Having said that, we really have endured some horror shows these past few years and it's little wonder many of us feel frustrated.

  39. Agree with the team in the OP. Pretty sure every time PSV manager Peter Boez has come to ibrox with a team in Europe he has beaten us 3-1(leverkusen) and 2-0 (Lyon). Both under Gerrard and both games with us playing a similar way to what we do currently. Bodes well.

  41. Parkhead is a total shithole IMO. Went there during the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and was shocked at how shabby it was. Celtic would be doing Rangers fans a favour by not making tickets available. Play hard ball Rangers. They are just used to getting their own way with everything.
