I'll tell you what, Barisic and Tavernier we're f*cking anonymous in that game. Useless.8 points

We're too slow and lack intensity, which makes us easy to handle for mediocre opposition. I hate him but Postecoglu figured out how to deal with Scottish sides by going at them, fast and relentless.7 points

There are various matches around the world where away fans are banned (Ajax v Feyenoord and River Plate v Boca Juniors are well known examples). I'm content with yahoos never setting foot in Ibrox again. They are scum and should be dealt with accordingly.7 points

It's early days but some things are already starting to become clear. 1. Lammers and Sima have brought almost nothing to the team that we didn't already have in Hagi and Sakala. 2. Hagi will leave if he continues to be sidelined to make way for under performers. Probably in January. That would be a tragedy. 3. When he came to Rangers Colak immediately did what he was signed to do - score goals. His replacement with Dessers and Danilo, together with continuing to cold-shoulder Roofe, has taken us backwards. I'm genuinely confused about the lack of clear direction from Beale. I can't see a discernible football vision or a strategy to achieve it. New players seem constantly confused, old players are benched and selection seems to be on anything but merit. What's the plan, where are we going?6 points

My comment on the game. Why are we playing Lammers ahead of Hagi?4 points

If he's the only dud out of all Beale's signings, I'll take it. Unfortunately, I fear there's more.4 points

At least we knew what CI was. Lammers is either a striker who does not/cannot strike, or a playmaker who does not/cannot make the play. He lacks the pace, and the strength, and, it seems the attitude. ( I've said this before.) I hope he proves me wrong, but he was anonymous, today, against Morton. At Ibrox.4 points

I edging towards this way of thinking tbh. The money we spend on Lammars might have been better spent on a wide player or dare I say it Shankland.4 points

Problem is he isn’t a very good striker. Even in his first few games here he’s shown why he’s struggled in front of goal in his career. At this early stage, I think we've spent a lot of money on someone who is a backup striker. Cantwell should be our number 10 and shouldn't be pushed back to accommodate for Lammers.4 points

I'm not overly fussed on the tactics / system / style of play / personnel. I'm more concerned with our slow build up and the fact the players don't seem to want it as much as other teams. We need to go into every game looking like we want to win from the first whistle and play with a high tempo to put teams under the cosh - more domestically than in Europe. We don't do it at all. We look lackadaisical and play a dull, boring and slow type of football. Great managers like Walter Smith and Alex Ferguson famously got 110% out of players. I'm not even sure Beale is getting 50% out of some of these guys. The aggression and hunger Hagi showed today is exactly what we have missed as a team IMO. I'm more concerned about our trip to Dingwall than I am about a trip to Eindhoven. Dingwall is a must win. Eindhoven we are underdogs.3 points

I fear that Lammers is a dud. There, I've said it.3 points

The Lammers signing never made much sense to me, and it was just more worrying when Beale talked about how he’s known about him for years. Just seems like our transfer policy is driven by players he already knows about, rather than proper scouting.3 points

As I’ve said on this forum before Hagi is a better option than Lammers from what I’ve seen so far3 points

It's a bit worrying how often Butland is one of our better players, particularly when we really haven't played a good side yet.3 points

I know there is a crew that loves the mantra winning is enough, but it isn't enough. Because this isn't champions form. We've scraped a win against Greenock Morton. Scraped past Servette (when they played a considerable amount of time with 10 men), and we've lost to Killie since the start of this season. A lot more has to be done before I think we are anywhere near talking about challenging for the title. I don't understand signings like Lammers, 3 years of nothing to show for and we spend millions on him? I can't see how he is anyway better than Hagi. Dessers has a significant amount yo prove as he looks extremely poor currently, obviously I want him to come good but it's the truth. Beale needs to get this team working together quickly.3 points

Matontamundo is playing well, but is it not up to the strikers to read and anticipate his crosses?3 points

Parkhead is a total shithole IMO. Went there during the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and was shocked at how shabby it was. Celtic would be doing Rangers fans a favour by not making tickets available. Play hard ball Rangers. They are just used to getting their own way with everything.3 points
-
The Daily Update on H&H suggested that it won't matter what the SPFL board decide. Celtic won't give us any tickets and will just accept any resultant fine. If that is what happens then we should just cease any discussions with Celtic about the issue for the next few years as they can't be trusted to abide by rules or agreements.3 points

Just to add (again), the drumming in the UB section is bloody awful. They can barely keep time and even if they could, it would still be awful. Unless we're going full flute band, get the drums to f**k and leave that crap to the South Americans (who are quite good at it).2 points

It is a sad state of affairs, Hagi is miles better than Lammers and Roofe is still our best striker imo. Yet we know neither will start Tuesday.2 points

The next 4 games will tell us a lot. PSV home & away, inform Ross County away then Celtic at home.2 points

Didn't expect too much today as its the League Cup. Let's be honest, if we looked at the last 20 or so years, we could count good LC/SC cup performances at Ibrox on one finger. These games are always dire IMO and especially the LC. A few positives... Dessers looks like he is slowly getting there. He definitely has something (first half volley was nicely worked) so I'm remaining patient. Still a stick on to score against the Dhims IMO. Matondo looked lively again and if he starts to calm down a bit and use his head he could be useful. Sterling, Dowell, Balogun, Hagi, Roofe got minutes in the tank. The negatives... As much as I am willing to be patient with Dessers, my patience is fading fast with Lammars. I'm still unsure what he is going to bring? Granted, he's regarded as a "technical" player but in old fashioned money he looks like a fan dancer. A luxury player who needs too many touches and forgets that football is a simple game. Crossing...In the absence of Pinky and Perky today, I was hoping that we might abandon the aimless tactic of lobbing in cross after cross. Alas, it turned out that we other players that excell in the pointless tactic.2 points

I often wonder if we’re our own worst enemy going into this sort of cup tie against lower league opponents. Morton are a decent championship side probably comparable to the bottom half of the SPFL premiership. They played well today. They gave us a fright today as did Partick Thistle in the SC last season, another Championship side. We think it’s gonna be dead easy in cup ties(especially at home)as it’s a lower league team. Not always the case. That said, once again we struggled against a team who sat in & played to hit us on the break. We played the same way we do every week with one up front and struggled to get any service to the lone forward who was heavily marked. It’s been said before, but could we go 3-5-2 & used two wide players putting in endless balls into the box? Or( I hate to say this) do what Postecoglou did with the yahoos and have one forward but two wide players who need to contribute with goals as well as feeding the forward? I found it very frustrating to watch for long periods today2 points

What do you mean. The horseshoe and deep crossing fullbacks hoofing the ball into one forward v 6 defenders is fool proof2 points
-
Not so sure about that. I thought Barisic had one of his better games.2 points

We could start by putting our best players on the park. Too many are getting a starting place for no apparent reason other than being new to the squad, rather than on merit. Too many of our newbies need to earn a starting place but are nowhere near the mark in terms of effort or composure.2 points

Dowell on till the end "confirms to me" that he played to get up to his full fitness levels, more than anything. He looks better as a deep playing midfielder to pick some passes. But we need something more Hagi or Cantwell in the attacking department. Tuesday, I'd play Danilo, Sima, and Dessers, Hagi and Cantwell behind them, the rest shall defend.2 points

45+ unimpressive minutes against a side of part timers with a 40 yo centre back. It's just as well that next up is only a works' team.2 points

Dowell just looks so cumbersome to me. That's why I keep saying, let him play as the #6, where he can use his passing in front of teams. He's got good ball control, too.2 points

I keep seeing/hearing Rangers fans say we cut the allocation because it gave that lot an advantage. That's absolute nonsense! We cut their allocation in order to provide more season tickets to loyal Rangers supporters. Stop helping them peddle their crap.2 points
