Alex Lowry starting in Norway for Hearts, can't see how this loan won't do him wonders. Best of luck to the boy.5 points

However, maybe it's time we should play with wingers and two defensive fullbacks or find two better attacking-fullbacks. Tav has a great free kick in him (occasionally) and the odd cross, but he's getting slower and is not good enough defensively. Borna showed that he still has a decent cross in him when he's playing high but again absolutely useless defensively (he'll take plaudits for last night but truth is he wasn't pressed much or tested defensively).4 points

Lots of positives to take from last night imo first half, moved the ball well, created some great chances, and should really have been a few more up. Bit of rustiness, some wrong choices and a glaring miss meant we didn’t increase our lead in the first half. second half was a bit more of a struggle, but it was always going to be when they went down to 10. I’ve seen a lot of folk get really angry about us not simply cutting them open, but sometimes it isn’t that easy. Remember we drew with UFa while playing with 9 men for about 25 mins away from home. If you are organised, you can pickup the slack from being that man down, after that first half showing, I’m feeling more confident. Yes there is more to come from the team, but if they continue to get used to each other, you can see the movement and space they were trying to create, especially in that first half. Jack was excellent last night, and Cantwell deserved his MotM. Also best I’ve see Borna for a while, but we see that on occasion, and then he’s back to his usual self!4 points

Unless we get better in the final third we will continue to struggle. Forwards need to make runs into the box ahead of the delivery from wide areas not stand expect the ball to drop at their feet in front of goal. Can’t help feeling we’d have been better getting a naturally wide player instead of Sima. Disappointing again when he came on tonight.4 points

Went along today and was very impressed indeed. The overall presentation of all the sections was very professional and tasteful IMO. Had a few goosebumps moments tbh. Some of the older items and letters etc are the best part IMO. I think Rangers had a hard job to present this as they effectively already have a museum of sorts next door in The Trophy Room. ie. I'm sure there are lots things from there that could have made their way into the museum. Well worth a visit for any fan and the price point is spot on IMO. You won't be disappointed.3 points

Brilliant post mate. I thought it was a load of pish at the time and so it was, I'm guessing they'll have a stronger bench though. It kind of confirms that they're a lower pot UEL side though, we're probably still a high end UEL team I'd say, with aspirations of cementing a 3rd pot in the UCL.3 points

I guess so. I just think it is incredibly disappointing to have a slender one goal lead after playing against 10 men. We know have to go away from home and either draw or win against the same team with 11 men, it's going to be hard and the thing is there was no need for it to be.3 points

I was pleased to see the effort, skill and positioning play in the first half. It was disappointing to see that drop off in the second as we reverted to cross balls from the full backs. I can't see Tav lasting the season. I liked the brief look at Cifuentes and thought Danilo looked very promising. I was disappointed with Lammers. So much just didn't come off for him. Cantwell was the outstanding player for us again. Once again I thought some of the substitutions were bizarre, even needless and weakened us late in the game. Two defensive mids when they went down to 9 men was unnecessary.3 points

I think most folk are content with the overall improved performance rather than the result. I know i am.3 points

Surprised people are content with this result. It shows to me that we haven't shaken off the "can't kill off games" label yet. These guys were down a man and we practically gave up. We are one goal away from an awful result in this tie and the result should have been put to bed easily. It's a huge concern for me.3 points

I think it's gradually dawning on most fans that Tav has run his race at Rangers. As the team around him improves, this will only become more obvious.3 points

Correct. The team goes two up and for a couple of minutes think they’ve got the game and they’re going to win it. Some players suddenly think from past experience that they might not. Their doubt breeds indecision and that spreads to the rest and you’re right, they lose focus.3 points

I loved Sakala, but they quite clearly are. I’ll maybe give you Sima, at the moment they seem very similar, and I would have kept Sakala over what I’ve seen from him, but the glimpses from Lammers show he’s a cut above Sakala Dessers is a completely different striker. More of a target man, but he’s also not up to full fitness. His positioning is getting better, but still would like to see him be a bit stronger in the final third. I can forgive the mis placed passes etc as that shows improve as the team get to know each other more, as they play more games.3 points

Dressers Lammers and Sima aren’t any better than the lad we let go Sakala. Who I think would have had a field day last night and what was the point of introducing Hagi at such a late stage .3 points

I liked our new left back. Reminded me of a player we had a couple of years ago.3 points

I was watching the RB Salzburg match stream (vs Inter). I was struck by the fans's mindest regarding players. Several comments were along the lines of '[player x] will be crazy in 1-2 years', or '[player y] will be worth 30 million in a couple of years'. The mindset is different from us. We're, 'if they're not the final product, then they're no good ... punt them'. They're seeing potential, and what they can become. Tillman was 'too slow on the ball and gets robbed'. But he was 20-years-old. Where will be be in a year or two when he quickens up and gets stronger on the ball? Yilmaz 'can't cross and is suspect defensively'. He's 21. He can learn to cross and work on his defensive positioning. And the 'we have to win now' excuse doesn't cut it. Salzburg need to win. They look at the attributes a player has now, whilst also acknowledging where they can improve. I really think this is a failing in our mindset.3 points

Judging by the keepers performance last night i'd be happier if they played the other guy 🤣2 points

Hahaha I think that's just his Barnet, if his head goes that far back then I'll believe they walk among us 👽2 points

Harsh. By some considerable margin the best fullback I ever saw was 5’ 7”. His name was Eric Caldow, captain of Rangers and Scotland.2 points

I'd love to see us play with wingers. We'd need a new manager to do that, though - which I'd similarly love to see.2 points

I'm sure half of the people on this forum have you on 'ignore', Rousseau. 🤣2 points

I thought Souttar and Goldson were both good at bringing the ball out from defence, Lammers played some nice stuff, Dessers got stuck in and Barisic played in some lovely crosses but Cantwell gets my vote, as he played well and never stopped.2 points

Not convinced we did enough. We appear to have a perennial inability to kill off games.2 points

Tav is too old now to learn how to mark his man. You can do it standing in front (Porrini) or, conventionally, standing behind but not like Tavernier, standing a couple of yards to the side.1 point

Quite disappointing after a good start. We should be ahead by more than one goal. I think that we lost focus after going two up.1 point
