We got him for nothing so the profit would be decent. Still think we could have got more if he is away to Saudi. Jota went for 25 million but both players have similar stats from last season. Fashion - Goals 12 Assists 7 Jota - Goals 11 Assists 105 points

I do wish our manager would ditch that awful tracksuit get a decent haircut and a hot shave and wear a smart suit when on television he reassembles a manky tinker .4 points

Not convinced we did enough. We appear to have a perennial inability to kill off games.3 points

At least the goalie was busy, making a few decent saves. He should have been busier though. I still think our play is over fussy. I wish we would have hit a few more shots as the penalty area was packed.3 points

A lot of panty wetting again on here. Nobody can argue it was a vastly improved performance tonight to what we have been seeing!. Onwards and upwards.3 points

Yep. We signed Tossers, too, but he can't get a game. Must be a total wanker.3 points

Are they actually first teamers though? 8 out of your first XI out? More than a whiff of bs. It'll probably be something like us v Celtic a couple of seasons back, they'll have a fairly strong XI and nothing on the bench..we laugh about that game but it was a pretty strong team to be fair. IF it is true, we should try and put some goals on them. I don't care if it's arrogance but if two thirds of your first team are missing you should be getting beat in Europe at this level.3 points

Quite disappointing after a good start. We should be ahead by more than one goal. I think that we lost focus after going two up.2 points

Well we'll need a Calvinist attitude for sure.2 points

We got the win and can finish the job over there . Our keeper , Goldson and Soutar look solid enough. Cifuentes looks a proper midfielder too.2 points

I'm not sure what people were expecting, after watching pre-season and the Killie game. We were a bit unlucky tonight and with another match under our belts, by the time we arrive in the birthplace of Presbyterianism, we can beat the Swiss over there.2 points

You could say that was as easy a 2-1 win as you'll see. Servette did not really threaten us and I can't see them being much better on Tuesday. I saw some positives tonight, so we are going in the right direction. I think if we can string a few wins together and confidence grows, we may be good enough to do something in the Europa League at least.2 points

We won 2-1 at home against a low-key Swiss side who were down to ten men. I don't think it can be dressed up as a satisfactory result.2 points

Slowly getting there I would say. Just need to keep it going with a good win on Saturday.2 points

Danilo needs to settle down and try to keep it simple. It will come.2 points

I had a feeling we would live to regret being so wasteful. A bizarre handball from Dessers. This is a bog standard team though and we should be putting them away tonight.2 points

I think it's a 4-3-1-2 with Cantwell as an #8, Lammers as the #10, as we saw in pre-season. It can definitely transition into a 4-2-2-2 with Cantwell moving forward.2 points

Billie Jean King, purely to see her initials emblazoned on the front of our tops,...imagine the meltdown ?2 points

From what I've seen so far, I'm not sure we could get a win if they only brought their ground staff2 points

This is a red herring IMO. They'll still field a team that will be dogged and we will have to break down. Any talk of them being weakened sends out alarm bells for me.2 points

One should not predict a draw in a European 1st leg at home. A draw is allowed, though frowned upon, in a 2nd leg at home should that be sufficient to progress. In domestic competitions, any deviation from a Rangers victory is forbidden.2 points
-
Whatever happened to the unwritten rule that regardless of who we are playing, a chap does not predict a Rangers loss. A serious breakdown in discipline which should not go unpunished.2 points

Did Jota go for £25m though ? the yahoos are very good at manipulating their pals in the media. Seems a very high price for a player who couldn’t cut it at Benfica or whilst on loan in la Liga2 points

The fee is 'undisclosed', so how do you know what profit was made (I'm not being cheeky because I know £3m is the fee being banded around and presume you're going by that but we, as fans, don't know for sure)?2 points

We'll need to click fast if we want to overcome PSV (that's if we can knock out Servette, which is not going to be easy). I doubt we'll participate in the CL in 2023/24.2 points

Unlucky in some ways with the goal we conceded but ultimately far too many cheap errors in possession meant we couldn't apply enough pressure in that last 30mins. Some brighter moments across the game but I think we're just going to be patient as this new side gels. Of course that shouldn't mean we excuse bad play or concerns about the system but there were positives to take from that as much as it wasn't the clear result and performance we wanted. A huge night next week in Geneva and a solid win on Saturday will go a long way to helping.1 point

Well, we can't blame the defenders, for a change, They've coped, and then a forward blunders in....1 point

That's unforgiveable by the way, I'd be throwing punches in a Sunday league dressing room if my striker did that in the box. We're playing fairly well, a lot of it is shelling the box with crosses mind.1 point

Does their fan base go into meltdown every time they drop points? Do their fans expect them to win the league every year? I think there's a big difference between them needing to win and us needing to win.1 point

It means your hand is too shaky to shave. The answer is, soap up, and with razor in hand, jam your elbow into the corner between two of the bathroom walls, and move your face up and down the razor. You're welcome.1 point

Lopetegui, apparently, is leaving The Wolves. They were after Beale last year. He is second in the betting to replace the Spaniard, I'm told (but haven't checked). If...... Potter and Bluenose Reid for Ibrox...1 point
