  1. Well done Killie, you outran us, out worked us and, outfought us. The stats back it up, in 96 minutes of football we had one shot on target. I thought Rangers were truly woeful.

  2. If only the players hurt as much as the fans.

  3. That wasn't a team we fielded today , Killie fielded a team , all we could come up with was just a bunch of supposedly good players masquerading as a team. I fear yet another long hard season.

  6. Here's the bizarrest fact you'll hear on here today. In my younger years, I once modeled as Richard Hannay for an illustrated version of the 39 Steps. Still got a copy in the loft somewhere.

  7. Here's the thing, pre season is pre season. Means nothing, nothing on the line no trophies no points. Today was a big game. Did we win - no Did we play well - no Did any of our players from last year give any indication that they will add value - no Did any of our new players give any indication that they will add value - no Did our best players from last season when we finished the season well play well - Raskin | no / Cantwell didn't start | don't know why Was our management team surprised at the way a McInnes Kilmarnock team played - it looked like it Did he see this then change it - didn't look like it Did we utilise our attacking fullbacks - no Did we utilise out midfielders who can shoot from distance on a park that has an un predictable bounce - no Do we look any better than this time last year under van Bronkhorst - no Do we look like we have a shape or cohesive gameplan - no Do we look good at the back - no Can we rely on a Soutter who has played about 10 games and made 3 massive mistakes (livi away last year, celtic away last year, today) - no Do we look dangerous upfront - no We have removed cantwell who finished last season strongly and replaced him with Lammers who did nothing of note today and although scored a few goals in pre season raised concerns about the overall shape / cohesiveness of the team. - Why? Did we look like we wanted it more than them - no. I could go on. The manager has had a full pre season to work with these guys, what were they doing?

  8. The players have had a very poor pre-season and have now failed at the very first hurdle. We are now trailing Celtic by 3 points. There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking valid questions of the players and the manager. We made very early signings so that we could be prepared for the first game of the season and we have fucked it mate, we fucked it.

  9. I wish he'd never been appointed. I've been saying that since that day.

  10. Sometimes you have to play a wild card - today for instance.

  11. I thought this season would be different but no. Same old daundering about the park. Why are new players playing in the same way as the players we got rid of? It must be coming from the old lags and the fact is, Beale is one of them. His return trip via Villa and QPR doesn’t seem to have done him any good. If you can play like Beckenbauer, you can stroll about like a lord. Otherwise you’ve got to run. What’s Sakala doing these days?

  12. Nothing to do with the surface both sides have to play on it and throughout a season others go there and thump them

  13. McInnes had Beale’s number today

  14. I would not have picked that team, but those players are good enough if they played like a disciplined team with a plan.

  15. Disorganized garbage from our coaching staff again. We were a shambels today.

  16. Our best player since the last window was on the bench today. I wasn't overly keen on Beale when we appointed him. Then he steadied the ship and I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. However, pre-season and today has put me back in the 'he's not good enough' camp and it will take a fair old turnaround to change that. His poor tactics and team selection were largely responsible for that lot winning both cups.

  17. Well, that was a really disappointing performance. I'll be honest, I'm sick of the sight of Tav and Barisic. What does Dowell bring to the midfield? I don't see anything there at all. We need to sort things out fast if we want to stay in the title race because Celtc beat every other side with ease.

  18. A similar score line today with us at least playing good football and creating some chances would have been, at least for me, palatable. It would have offered some hope. No idea what that was today. Was like watching a junior game but that's hard on junior teams. And I don't want to hear excuses about the pitch. If we play on the surface of the moon we should still be the better team.

  19. I can only go on the performances I have seen. None of them look like game breakers, to be frank. The fact that clubs paid substantial fees means little. In fact, that they are no longer at those clubs, and have not commanded big outlays, is more telling.

  20. The good news is that if Hibs or St Mirren beat the other by more than two goals tomorrow, we'll move up to 9th.

  21. Well the warning signs have been there all preseason. There are no excuses for that. Hot take - I think a quality centre mid would change this team more than a quality centre back.

  22. People aren't always writing off the players. Valid questions are being asked. The off season has been very exciting, but again warnings have been said about the types of players we are signing. Some have really suspect histories and the idea they will simply turn it around at Ibrox does not convince me.

  23. One game played and already playing catch-up the front three look likely they don’t know their arse from their elbow

  24. I was never one of the slaters and Sakala is never a saviour but he’s scored goals where other haven’t apart from Tavernier (Pen)

  25. S-b-g isn’t saying that at all. He’s just very doubtful about the manager’s capabilities and has been since last season.

  26. Spent a fortune on forwards and created nothing against a team which is basically an elevated junior outfit on some B&M faux grass. Acceptable? Not for me. Not sorry if that upsets you.

  27. Not really, which is why I want a new manager

  28. I've seen this film before. There were times when I thought I was watching a Gio side. We haven't had a court case for a while, perhaps he could sue for plagiarism

  30. There's a player there. We just need to rekindle it. Hopefully a goal or assist today will do that.

  31. I expect us to play the last old firm match with a 100 percent record 😉

  32. I am willing to accept the team are still gelling together after the much needed transformation the team has had over the summer but that result was quite deflating not in losing but in the lack of cutting edge we had in attack ok Killie defended well but we were just anonymous in attack , Beale has got to get it right from here on starting with a servette or the pressure will quickly ramp up.

  33. If FB’s are a team’s only natural width it’s easy to counter that. We need options in wide areas up front

  34. I expect us to at least look like something that resembles a top flight football team. In my opinion we didn't look like that today. In fact I think we looked a considerable distance from that.

  35. It's your standard response to anyone questioning anything, "so you're just writing them off?". There is a whole range of opinions and most of them aren't all or nothing. The off season signings have been exciting, but also I have been concerned about the level of some players we have been spending significant money on. The pre-season was very poor and we have now failed our first test (and in our league that may well already be our death knell). Things do not look good at the moment and people are rightly frustrated and asking questions, because it's a shitshow that we brought in so many players and fucked that up.

  36. It was merely an example to show that it's possible. I want to see us win playing good footbalI. There are many different shades of good football, though. I don't need to see us play like 70s Brazil to be entertained.

  37. Walter's second spell when we won 3 titles in a row and may have won a 4th (2012 n all that) I'd love to be that "bored" right now!

  40. It was all Barisic's fault. Everything.

  41. Not sure what to think after watching that. One of the biggest take aways for me (amongst many), was how poor our captain was. Don't want to single anyone out but we should look to him for leadership. Couldn't get my head around him running 60 yards across the pitch to take the ball of Lundstram for a throw in. Lundstram could have used a quick throw but Tav had to come across and take it. Anyways, I'm going to get pissed.

  48. Encore une Fois. It is the summer hols and the priority has been maintaining one's fluid levels with lashings of ginger beer. This thread has been in abeyance for three-four weeks; however, I have kept my ear close to the ground, the rumbles from the bowels of PQ have sent ripples the length of the Clyde. Here, in darkest, deepest Lanarkshire we are hearing the current dispute between BBC Scotland and their beloved Sellik is continuing. The broadcasting signs have been pretty obvious, the ever garrulous RAB Cosgrove has spent the last three weekends doubling down on the Rangers. When speculation began as to ra Sellik's managerial replacement for Ange, a name that began as a whisper, Brendan Rodgers emerged loud from the cacophony. BBC Scotland's Chief Sports Writer, Tom English penned an article pointing out the alacrity of Rodger's last departure from Paradise and highlighted the ensuing fractious relationship left between Rodgers and ra Sellik faithful. Peter took exception and when Sellik held their stage managed press conference to reveal Brendan, BBC Scotland were banned from attending. You can imagine the ensuing collective spluttering? Of course, PQ apologised profusely and assured listeners and viewers they were doing everything to resolve the situation. This last month, PQ has not sent a reporter to any of Sellik's pre-season friendlies because the club has made it clear they are not welcome. Yesterday, they were banned from Brendan's pre-match presser and, today who knows? Liam might not get to squeal his regular approval for his Father's team. Apparently, BBC Scotland has apologised again and again but to no avail. Peter demands Tom English retract, revise and apologise for his correct jottings. RAB Cosgrove took umbrage with PQ Gaffers sending Jane Lewis to Ibrox for our Saturday friendly against Hamburg. His favoured phrase of late has been, "in the interests of balance", if you provide a service for one half of the Old Firm, the other side must receive similar, "in the interests of balance". Funny that, in Steven Gerrard's three years plus tenure at Ibrox, BBC Scotland does NOT possess one single second of recorded video or audio tape of the Liverpudlian's time. Anyways, RAB has been shouting these last weeks about PQ's coverage. It began with St Johnstone had defeated Hamburg 3-0 when it mattered in the Fairs Cup(1971) and the Germans were in the top Division of the Bundesliga in those days, then he told of Saints under 18s defeating Rangers 3-zip at Auchenhowie in a pre-season opener and, finished with a fulminating, "is the ban over then"? A wee reminder Rangers withdrew the press credentials from Chris McLaughlin, he could continue to attend but not in the press box. BBC Scotland being banned by Rangers is an oft repeated lie by BBC Scotland, a truly manufactured grievance. BBC Scotland being banned by ra Sellik, not mentioned today by BBC Scotland. I will further remind you what the then BBC Scotland's Chief Football Writer said about Chris McLaughlin, "Chris is a shill for Celtic football club". Big Dick, Liam McLeod, Martin Dowden, RAB, ....... et al decided to back their colleague and were most comfortable providing no coverage for license fee paying Rangers supporters over a period of nearly five years. BBC Scotland are providing live radio commentary from ra Stade de Gadd today and, Liam is back squealing as the Championship flag is unfurled. He is accompanied by Pat Bonner(only covers Sellik games), Martin Dowden(revealed by Annie McGuire as, "a good Celtic man") and, Michael Stewart(former Sellik TV co-commentator). As you can see, a cowed PQ are more than happy to give ra Sellik what they demand. Tom English will be kept well away until he is prepared to get on his knees in front of Peter.
