This will be very easy. We are through to the next round already. Disgusted by some of the caution on display in this thread.5 points

Rangers have negotiated a special deal with Castore reference the newly released blue and orange third kit, rather than £6.90 Rangers receive £16.90. Any Journos, particularly PQ Journos looking in; you know you want to believe it. You need to believe it.4 points

Last I read was that if we fail in either qualification round, we will enter the EL group phase afterwards. Both side are beatable, but we, much like them, are not playing at full throttle yet, hence IMHO these early quali rounds are utter rubbish, and have been for years.3 points

I get the McCoist comparison but comparing football today with patterns from nearly 40 years ago is pointless. Players (and especially strikers) have to hit the ground running. For example, McCoist and Hatley would have been binned today if he started like they did. Even Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't have become the legend he became at Man Utd. No Man Utd manager I'd going to 7 years without winning the title.3 points

I think Sakala is underrated. A missed goal is overshadowing what is a very effective wee player. I would love to keep him. However, if someone bids £4-5M for him, I'd snap their hand off.3 points

We need to wait & see if the new signings are upgrades3 points

Stats are wonderful aren't they. We all slated Fashion for those two open goals against Celtic, now we're "wondering" if we are right in signing Danilo. We wanted rid of the current squad yet question MB on who he's signing to replace players who we deemed as "not good enough" and 'serial losers". Seems MB can't win. IiRC Danilo scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Feyenoord last season and has scored 2 or 3 already this pre-season. Personally I can't wait to see Danilo in our team.3 points

Before anyone gets carried away, it's worth considering we have two weeks to get from what we've seen so far from an experimental team of newbies that hasn't won a single competitive game, to a team capable of beating the teams that finished second in the Belgian league and second in the Swiss league. We should be able to go through, it's whether (as always) the challenge comes too soon for a rebuilt squad with no experience playing together. On Wednesday against Olympiacos, we need to start fielding something like our presumed best team and kick into touch the "minutes for everyone" approach.2 points

I thought he was completely out of his depth. Maybe if was a lack of clear instruction but he looked disoriented and when someone is competing with Matondo for Flop Of The Match you know something is amiss. Like many before him, he looked like the shirt was a tad heavy for him. I look forward to seeing him deliver a vast improvement on Wednesday. I'll be the first to praise him if he does.2 points

Shhh or they'll be onto Hokey Cokey and Penny Arcade before you can say 'Big Jock Knew'.2 points

And the crushing of the grapes provides the origins of 'The Bouncy'....2 points

I suspect they are on to it? There were rumblings at PQ after Jane Lewis attended the launch at Edmiston House. Rangers served a refreshment to all Journos attending. The chilled wine, 'Vin Orange' is unique. Grapes gathered from the south facing green, grassy slopes of the Boyne are subjected to a 333 year old vinification process. Fermentation takes place with whole grapes so that the juice stays in contact with the skin. This gives the wine it's orange colour. Of course, Jane took a glass and the provided accompanying biscuit snack, 'Club Orange' to the waiting Chris McLaughlin, standing on his grassy knoll. I fear the cat is out of the bag.2 points

We've drawn Servette/Genk, first leg at Ibrox. Not a bad draw.2 points

It worth reminding ourselves the calibre of player we had when we first returned to the premier league. We'd be horrified to see most of them in the current squad and in due course I hope we'll look back on last season's squad and think the same thing. This long road to full recovery inevitably means progressing from what used to be acceptable to the higher quality that's needed for the next step.2 points

If 'when it counts' is 4 out of 38 match days and he's contributing game in game out outside of that then I'll take it, we need players like that to build a squad capable of consistently winning titles. Strange really, Sakala is probably the only player we have in this current squad who actually causes Celtic trouble..his record against them is pretty decent overall. Compare that to Morelos.2 points

Yes, you're right. Just release him, then. Then crucify the b*stard. Then flay him for good measure.2 points
-
Of course we slated him. He missed an open goal and we lost the game. Any player in the world would get slated if they missed an open goal and then lost the game. The point is: you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.2 points

Sakala isn’t in the same league as McCoist. Maybe one day but I very much doubt it.2 points

I'm sure Rangers sent out an email saying the 3rd kit had exceeded all expectations and sold far more than expected.1 point

I like all three but IMO the 2nd kit is bast, followed by home kit, then 3rd (as explained earlier, dont like crest and Castore logo in the centre and crest is a little bit too large).1 point

My abiding Trevor Francis memory in a Rangers jersey was our win at home Vs Dynamo Kiev. What a night that was against a top drawer team.1 point

Rumours that our Danilo bid has been accepted. I'm excited. The latest in a long line of Brazilian's to play for the famous: Cribari, Emerson... Caca...1 point

Was extremely immobile when he played for us, but made up for that with skill and experience. I enjoyed his time with us. And his penalty against Aberdeen at Hampden 😍1 point

A tricky but not insurmountable draw. In fact, it should be exactly the kind of challenge we thrive upon going forward as we try to re-establish ourselves at home and abroad. Rest of friendlies and early domestic games ever more important as we try to gel new players and systems.1 point

After watching him on Saturday I think the above is as far from accurate as we will see this season 🤣1 point

Yes if we fail in either this or the final qualifier then we go straight into the Europa League as a pot 1 side, so we have guaranteed group stage football in either the CL or EL, with of course a much higher seeding in the Thursday cup than we would get in the big boys cup. However for revenues we must get into the big boys cup and aim to come 3rd as a minimum.1 point

Should go through against either of those sides.1 point

Without Sakala we would have been beaten by a pretty poor Hamburg side. 1 goal 1 pen.1 point

Do they know that the Loyal Orange Institution commissioned and paid for the design of the new third strip?1 point

He isn’t and won’t be. The point is that while he misses chances he’s there to miss them which means he’s read the play and got himself into position. McCoist confronted in interview about missed chances in a game assured the interviewer he’d be back the next week to miss them again. Sakala’s got a bit of that.1 point

I see the owner of Spurs has told Mr Levy to sell Harry Kane who’s in the last year of his contract Harry should stay then walk away at the seasons end that would be my advice .1 point
-
I like Sakala. Like McCoist he misses plenty but like McCoist he’s there to miss them and like McCoist he never shirks. If he could just get his conversion rate somewhere near McCoist’s all would be well but Rangers couldn’t afford to keep him if that happened.1 point
-
I think he looks great when he plays on the right. We saw a couple of glimpses yesterday when he played killer balls and used his pace. He doesn't look as suited to playing through the middle, which is where he's mostly had to play so far.1 point

Sima may end up being POTY but today he was woeful.1 point
