Once again, Rangers exhibit the cosmopolitan 'Open to All' nature of the club. Inspiration for the above came from the Vatican's Swiss Guard. I note ra Sellik launched their third strip at the start of the week, claiming inspiration from Glasgow's most active music scene. The top looks like a lava lamp. I suggested on another less Rangers favourable Scottish football forum that the the true inspiration was Jim Torbet's finger prints. Result, green'n'grey seethe.4 points

Best finisher at the club, has fantastic movement and was brilliant during the 55 season scoring all type of goals.3 points

Correct me if I'm wrong, Roofe had an operation in the summer on his hip which by all accounts was behind a lot of his injury problems, so if the operation was successful then maybe we will get more game time out of him?. Roofe is a fantastic striker so if this operation was a success then we have an outstanding striker on our hands???3 points

IF Roofe can stay fit for the whole season, he will make the biggest difference up front IMO. It’s a big IF though.3 points

Unfortunately, he is surrounded by Celtic placed men and will never be able to change things that Peter doesn't want. As others have said, it is a yearly swap with a Celtic representative.3 points

I don't think we've come close to seeing the best of Ridvan Yilmaz but it's already clear he has far more mobility than Barisic. Considering how few crosses ever lead to goals, there's far too much made of crossing abilities.3 points

I told you all he'd be first choice CB this season. I just got the wrong club...2 points

Looks like Feyenoord is having a little trouble finding their replacement for Danilo, so we might have to wait a little longer for him. Good thing is: apart from any new arrival, we will have Hagi fit and running again, Roofe and Lawrence hopefully too. That's essentially 3 more quality players than we had for large spells of last season.2 points

Lundstram has been at Ibrox for 4 years...? This season will only be his 3rd. I think you're being a wee bit harsh on Lundstram tbh. In his first season he took time to bed in but was outstanding in our run to the Europa League final. Last season he had a dip but again finished strongly and was one of our better players in the 2nd half of the season.2 points

Yfeko looked good for the first few minutes he came on, but then made a few poor decisions and thus mistakes. Not stopping the cross for the goal was a lethal mistake and one of the basics of football. You have to stop crosses at source. He is young and will learn. Not ready for the first team yet, but maybe unfair to judge on the few minutes he was on. Rice is going to be a massive player. Unfortunately, the modern trend is that he will be bought away before making an impact in the Rangers team. Let's hope that doesn't happen. Lowry showed that he deserves some more game time and was unlucky not to win us the game. Raskin was the jewel on the crown, though. What a player he is. John Souttar was the other stand out for me and one of the few I would say was up at Newcastle standard in the first half. Due to a stagnant midfield, he got pulled out of position at the first goal'The midfield at the goal was shocking standing in a straight line across the pitch, giving the Newcastle players about 4 metres room and totally open for the wall pass that ensued. Ryan Jack and John Lundstram should never be the mainstay of our midfield ever again. They are metres off the pace and that is not pre-season cobwebs, that is a few years of failure. Lundstram has had a good 6-month period in 4 years at Ibrox. Just my opinion, and no doubt others will think different.🙂2 points

And wasn't Roofe our top league scorer during 55 season?1 point

One pre-season game against meaningful opposition, no basis for sweeping praise or condemnation. The European qualifiers will tell us something. Christmas will tell us everything.1 point

I genuinely prefer it when we stick to red, white and blue but there's a real joy in knowing how much annoyance any orange causes amongst our many detractors. It's just a colour and one that is very prominent on the flag of the Republic of Ireland.1 point

Roofe still remaining is proof they simply could not find a buyer.1 point

So all quiet on the transfer front regarding signings and departures. Hoping that means a surprise announcement is imminent 😃1 point

I was more enthused by some of our B team players than our new signings to be honest. We certainly looked less nervous and more creative second half when changes were made. I thought Yfeko and Rice looked very composed and Lowry was keen to lay down a marker, which he did (I feel it's make or break for him this season). It was hard to track who was playing where at times and I don't think we'll see a settled starting eleven before the last pre-season game I guess. However, I have concerns about our defence both in and out of possession, and just replacing the goalkeeper is not going to fix the problems, so I hope MB has something up his sleeve.1 point

Would definitely be up for getting involved but don't know if I could dedicate the time required due to work commitments. However, would be up for a few articles if it's something that would help?1 point

Good luck to the young guy. Turkey has been hard trasustion for many UK players but hopefully he can buck the trend. He'll also be up against Kent which should be interesting.1 point

It was a secret ploy to get over the time with no transfer news. So secret that even Rousseau didn't know about it ...1 point

Kazakhstan is in UEFA. Therefore, if you are drawn against a team from, say, Almaty, the largest city, and former capital, you will be playing the away leg east of China's western border. Admittedly, Khazakhstan is large, and a fairly substantial part lies to the West of the Urals, which were always regarded as the approximate boundary between Europe and Asia, but really.....1 point

With the amount of Clubs US and Middle Eastern owned it’s a matter of time before they can vote to change the structure of European football to incorporate their soulless franchises. This IMO is the beginning of the end for football as we know it.1 point
