If Fashion Sakala had it all, he wouldn't be playing for Rangers. His finishing is erratic but there is no doubting his pace. I'd say he is a modern day Ted McMinn with goals.4 points

We've all been conditioned to expect it. I had just finished explaining how rubbish he was before he scored. I don't feel too silly either as I know he'll miss another 20 sitters before doing that again.4 points

I just watched another replay of Sakala's goal. Why am I watching a replay and still thinking he's going to miss!? 😆4 points
-
No. He's not yet up to speed with OF games and we would probably been a poorer team with him in it, particularly given the tactics of having a front two with pace. However he comes into his own when we're facing a low block. He has been the difference for us collecting all 3 points against stuffy teams on quite a few occasions.3 points

I keep moaning about our players being too nice but yesterday I noticed us being a bit more niggly with them, particularly stopping them taking their quick throw ins and set-pieces. Bit late but hopefully that continues. Treat Paedo FC with nothing but contempt.3 points

Apart from his excellent work rate, injury record and never getting in trouble with the ref, Sakala contributes numbers.2 points

Cantwell’s influence & importance is growing at Rangers since he signed. It’s just a pity we didn’t get him at the beginning of January instead of at the end of January. My big concern is that our ex-DoF has put some sort of release clause into his contract making it easy for someone to sign him from us2 points

He is more a disruptor than a finisher. He always tries. So, he’s useful. I’d be inclined to keep him.2 points

Deep down, they all know that we're not. The season ticket numbers prove it. Also, if we were new, they wouldn't spend as much time trying to convince everyone (including themselves) of that as we'd be irrelevant.2 points

Cantwell's performance is the best I've seen from a Ranger in many a long day. There were many good performances yesterday but his was absolutely outstanding.2 points

"the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media". Tam 'the Token' Cowan has just uttered the above in reaction to the story of Sky Sports, Elidh Barbour closing the show yesterday be saying, "that is the last old firm game of the season and Rangers fans have the close season bragging rights". Roger Mitchell(remember him) led ra outraged Yahoo charge demanding Sky sack her because his green'n'grey hooped heroes are about to secure another Treble and, that is real bragging rights. Token Tam supposed Elidh was reading an auto cue or, was anxious to remain within, "the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media". Tam is the very epitome of the sooky, sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media. He moonlights on PLZ Soccer as 'the Token'. Former Radio Snyde frontman, Peter(M'Guire)Martin founded PLZ Soccer after being sacked by Snyde. He and ra Bhoy in Corduroy were ruminating on the Thursday evening of the 2010 General Election, speculating on how the then Scottish managers would cast their vote? The show broadcast between 18.00hrs and 20.00hrs when the polls were open. As we know, broadcast laws do NOT allow political speculation during the period polling booths are open(06.00hrs-22.00hrs). Peter McGuire hail hails from Newarthill, he changed his name to Martin because of anti-RC prejudice when he began in journalism. His first decade was spent in Edinburgh in the Hootsman grouping and Radio Forth. Meanwhile back in the west, he was hosting ra Sellik View roadshow. Paul Cooney formalised the gig bringing him on to Radio Snyde. After 15 years or so and his sacking he founded PLZ Soccer - Peter, Linzi and, Zoe - names of himself, wife and, daughter. It is just another Sellik supporters Podcast on YouTube. The main participants for the decade have been : Peter Martin - Sellik fanatic Tam McManus - Sellik fanatic Hugh MacDonald - Sellik fanatic Alison McConnell - Sellik fanatic Alan Rough - played for Sellik Tam Cowan - the Token. Peter's bye-line is you will always receive an opinion from PLZ which interpretated is you will always receive a Sellik supporting opinion from PLZ. Just last week, PLZ banged on about the unique situation of Rangers not conceding a league penalty at Ibrox this season. Tam McManus was spluttering that the situation was an impossibility with the rest nodding sagely. A Scottish club has already gone throughout a league season twice before without conceding a home penalty - the same club; Sellik did it as recently as season 2014-15. Anyways, Tam the Token moves the show on to 'Well centre forward, Kevin van Veen's future. We are told he is leaving the claret and amber this coming close season and Tam wonders on the valuation? He goes around the panel of RAB Cosgrove and Journo, Alan Pattullo. RAB declares the Dutchman to be top end English Championship class and worthy of a £6.5million bid. Pattollo is more conservative in his £1.5 million valuation. As we know, RAB hates to be portrayed as lazy and ignorant; thus he comes back with, "my valuation is based upon the Morelos calculator". Of course the sooky sooky Rangers orientated Scottish football media within PQ rushed to inform RAB that the valuation of Morelos was based upon his 29 European goals for Rangers? How many Euro goals has van Veen notched RAB- petty and ill informed. Surely, it is time for RAB and Tam to expose any members of the Lap-Top Loyal RSC lurking within PQ corridors?2 points

A well deserved award for the young man. What a pleasure it was to have him play for us this year. Sadly he looks to be moving back home. He goes with my very best wishes. He is a star in the making.1 point

Pros -Good attacking work rate -Positive attitude-fans-press -Scores--erratic or not--the man puts in goals -Stays fit Cons -Poor Positioning and awareness-Drifts offside far too much -Poor decision making--shots/passes -lacks final touch On a scale measured 1-10 One being "drunk hobo with football" and ten being "your footballing God, here" I put Fashion at a 4.5. Solid bench player. He presents with enough energy, and positive motivation to affect the game, yet far enough away to be that big game go to guy.1 point

We have all seen enough of Sakala to know both his advantages and disadvantages. Often his first touch ensures his second is a tackle. His finishing can be erratic; particularly his one on ones with the opposition Keeper. Saturday's third goal is the irony, a wonderful finish. Fashion does not hide, he is always available. He has genuine pace and that attribute keeps opposition back lines honest. I would keep him because he is the guy that allowed me to see Rangers defeat Real Madrid 2-1.1 point

Yes, well deserved. His goal got us into the CL and he gave many match winning performances. Good luck to him in the future.1 point

I'm really looking forward to the second legs of both semi finals. Two potentially cracking games of football - hopefully it's a City vs Inter final.1 point

Bassey had a good half a season and went to Ajax for a big fee. It's a rumour that we're discussing.1 point

Tillman was truly mercurial, fast feet without any genuine pace and, a good eye for a pass. His better parts reminded me of a cross between Davie Cooper and Graham Fyfe. I remember Malik running half the length of the Fir Park pitch evading tackle after tackle before finishing, a beautiful strike at Tynecastle and, a spring heeled leap at the back post to head in the third against Union St Gilloise. Happy memories. The question that someone so young cannot be responsible for is value, ie - is he worth it?1 point

Congratulations to Malik and good luck to him in every game he plays that is not againt us.1 point

A player with considerable merits but what does his being POTY say about the rest of them?1 point

Yeah, he's shown a real turn in form over the past few games. Hopefully it was a fitness issue and he's going to play like that consistently next season, if he's still here.1 point

Just voted for Cantwell but think McCrorie deserves a vote over the vote for Tavernier.1 point

Late to the thread, decent encouraging win! Mainly took away that whilst people think Beale whitters on (paranoia from the online discourse probably helps, although he does at times) he's actually pretty bang on with his takes on us and them, especially in the last 3 games where really it's just down to poor execution and defensive howlers that's cost us. 3-0 with Sakala and Matondo up front, that's nuts. Thought Cantwell and Raskin were standouts and I'd give McCrorie a chance at No.1, seems like he can play off both feet which is a bonus. I'd also keep Sakala to be honest, as a squad player of course. I just think if he can chip in with 10-15+ g/a in 20 starts next season then that's sound, especially if it's a 60 game season. The sooner we're comfortable with rotating our frontline the better. Looks like when it's all said and done there'll be a 4 game turnaround at the end of the season, considering how lauded this Celtic side is that sounds pretty small. Especially considering the gap between us and them during 55. Good signings and a pre season and hopefully we can attack next season, starting with the ucl. Let's go!1 point
