I'd rather sit in the butchers window and eat my own shite with a spoon, than pay money to the the Herald/Daily Record group (MSN) thats owns and operates the Rangers Review4 points

I see this as the major influence on the outcome tomorrow. He has twice messed up against the bheasts in his 2 matches against them this season. Poor game management and substitutions in the new year game, and a dreadful selection in the final. Has he learned from this or will we see another overly respectful pine-up which is selected to try to cope with our opponent while ignoring our own strengths and letting them worry about us. I think we will have a fair idea how this game is going to go about an hour before kick off tomorrow. I'll either be just as deflated and anxious as I was on the walk over from Shawlands to Hampden, or right up for it and looking forward to it. If we select the correct line-up and formation, and do not make early mistakes which gift them a goal, then we will be in the hunt for victory, and it may come down to the use of the bench. I really hope Beale has learned the painful lessons and even I will be right behind him if this happens.3 points

I think its best for all parties to move on in the summer. We have seen the best of him here.3 points

I've been over to see Linfield a few times and always love it there but I hope that Larne win the league this year. They are in a good position - 7 points clear with four games remaining. A Larne win would also mean that there will have been four different champions in the last decade, a good sign for any league.2 points

It’s vital we start the game well & don’t allow them to get on top of us early on. The manager must get his game plan & tactics spot on. And we must be seen to be creating chances. They are not world beaters. Their Euro record under skippy proves that2 points

Probably too expensive for Rangers. Everton will probably sign him on at $80K/wk.2 points

If they can't "shine" or "kick on" at the likes of Partick Thistle and / or Falkirk, they aren't going to be the next "Patterson". Weston looked a more promising prospect in my humble opinion but never looked likely to remove the likes of Alfie, Roofe, Colak et Al from the 1st team squad. If young Lovelace has the right attitude and application he *may* make the breakthrough.1 point

Rangers in hunt for USMNT striker Brandon Vazquez after Europe admission made, Middlesbrough and Norwich interestedBy George Overhill 6th Apr, 2023 | 6:10pm Rangers have already scouted FC Cincinnati striker Brandon Vazquez amid an admission from the player he wants to move to Europe, 90min reports. The 24-year-old is attracting widespread interest on this side of the Atlantic after scoring 19 times and assisting eight more across 35 MLS regular season and playoff appearances in an “impressive” 2022 season. He had previously suggested to 90min in January that he wasn’t ready to “let go” of what he had achieved with Cincinnati, but has since admitted of his ambition to play in Europe saying, as per 90min: “For sure, that’s the next step that I want to take.” He will apparently have no shortage of suitors with England Premier League sides Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth “keeping a close eye” on him, while the Light Blues are not alone in scouting the USMNT international. Norwich, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough have also had a look at him, as his style of play is thought to suit English football. Subscribe Michael Beale wants to add in his forward department and if Alfredo Morelos leaves then the need for a new striker is going to be even more pressing. The last arrival from MLS was not quite the success that everyone had hoped for, with James Sands’ loan ultimately cut short instead of being made permanent. Vazquez had an excellent 2022 season that saw him make the All Star game as a replacement, scored on his international debut, and is part of a side that is top of their conference so far in the 2023 campaign with a goal and assist to his name. He won’t have so many teams in England looking at him for nothing but if the Gers are to put everything into winning the race for a deal they will need to be sure that he has made a step up that will last, having only netted four times in 31 appearances in 2021, admittedly mostly off the bench. There is sure to be a decent amount of movement in and out of Ibrox this summer if Beale gets his way, and new chairman John Bennett will surely have plenty of questions to answer if the upgrade to the squad isn’t complete enough. Vazquez appears to be in the conversation and ready to make a move, so if the Rangers boss likes him there is a good argument to say the SPFL is the right next step before the Premier League, but it looks set to be a crowded race.1 point

Generally the mls players are quite pricey. Unless this is a loan to buy similar to James Sands this is a big risk.1 point

Some strange negative comments on here. We’ve won something like 14 out of our last 16 games. I wonder how many Rangers managers can claim that sort of record before going into an OF game1 point

At least as important as anything Celtic do is whether or not our manager has learned anything since the LC final. If he employs the same tactics then we're sunk before we start. It's a huge test for Michael Beale.1 point

With quite a few of these talents you do wonder what had become of them had they been given the chance in the first team. Might well have been that they failed and disappeared through the backdoor (which is what most of them do anyway). But who knows whether a Weston or Alegria would have risen to that challenge and had become a new Patterson et al ...1 point

Aye a good idea take the man who has only lost one game in nineteen with more or less the squad he inherited. Give the job to a lover of the other mob who has his team pushing to get relegated despite their riches. Let him win one game in nineteen and offer him job security. All makes good sense EH???.1 point

The less you post, the more you post. That's as good a summary as could be written. There is no magic bullet for Rangers and trying to dismantle everything in pursuit of a futile dream is only going to undo the progress we've made. Recovery from the abyss of 2011/12 was always going to be a long term process, get used to it.1 point
