That was shite today. Just garbage. Celtc aren't a good side.5 points

The manager is responsible for that. Totally wrong team selection and the subs should have been on at half time. Can only hope he learns from it.5 points

I’m afraid today is 100% on the manager and the team selection. Lundstram and kamara indeed5 points

He was and has been good when he’s been fit and playing, but can we rely on him staying fit? Tilman had a shocker, but is it any surprise given how poor the central midfield was that he struggled to get in to the game today? We have signed some good players, but the core of the squad is still the same bunch of serial underachievers. Signing Raskin and Cantwell is a good start, but we really need to carry on the rebuild in the summer. Nothing’s really changed this season has it? I still think the same players should leave as I did six months ago. Roofe and Helander are too injury prone. Kamara is a shadow of his former self. Lundstram blows hot and cold. Barisic and Tav are really poor defensively. Morelos is his usual frustrating self. Kent surely isn’t worth the money he’s looking for. Sakala is so erratic and frustrating, but also impetuous and unpredictable. Worth keeping as a sub? I think Goldson and Davies are starting to look much more solid together. Add a decent keeper and some full backs who are better defensively, along with Raskin in front of the CBs and we should have a much stronger spine.4 points

I thought Jack was excellent when he came on today and made a huge difference.4 points

I don't suppose there's a Rangers fan whose heart didn't sink a little when he saw the team selection with Lundstram and Kamara in the centre of it. We got exactly what we knew we would from that midfield pairing - ponderous square passing, sucking the energy out of the team. We've seen it so many times that there was never any doubt we were going into this contest with our hands tied behind our back. Worse still, Tillman joined them and virtually disappeared from view. There still a lot of dead wood in this squad. With contracts being the way they are it takes time to re-shape a whole squad but there no excuse for selecting Lundstram ahead of Jack and Kamara ahead of Raskin, nor for leaving Tillman on the park for so long. It was no accident that Celtic were such hot favourites but it's dispiriting to see manager after manager persevere with players who should be nowhere near first choice in a cup final.4 points

The entire thing hinged on that crazy midfield selection. The difference when Jack and Raskin came on spoke volumes. You would think Beale would know by now who he can and can’t trust.4 points

Sell them and the manager who was part of the last regime when it hit the skids and was equally poor at QPR no not near good enough3 points

We really can't keep saying that. They win every game. Delusion is usually Tim-ish behaviour.3 points

There was an inevitability about today's result. Too negative in 1st half, no creativity and poor decision making when we are in the final 3rd and shot-shy. Manager picked wrong starting 11 in my opinion and sun's made too late (when we were 2-0 down). Shows the size of rebuilding job we have in the summer.3 points

As i said at half time both Kamara and Lundstram should not have appeared for the second half....and what a player we have in Raskin.3 points

Surely only fitness issues were why Lundstram and Kamara started?3 points

Sluggish, and uncompetitive. Beale needs to earn his corn now.3 points

I was one of those tits compo and will be again if the troops feel the need to mobilise again. Should have been thousands more raining or not.3 points

I'm looking forward to the UB display tomorrow. Hopefully it's red, white and blue and quintessentially British. I'm hoping the players take some inspiration from the soon to be released film, Cocaine Bear and go all out from the first whistle. 🟥⬜🟦3 points

Yes we can. And if I had to go to a board and beg for backing in any role In any business and not use it I'm sure they wouldn’t be shy in asking me why I didn’t it use it and why I don’t deliver. Food for thought.2 points

I think we can criticise the starting midfield but that was the same team that were so impressive against Hearts just a few weeks ago. The issue for me comes from belief and application; neither which were evident today and rarely are against Celtic nowadays. I'm hoping it will be a harsh lesson for the manager in terms of players he can trust and the obvious strengthening we need to do right across the side. The fact our 41 year old goalkeeper was our best player says it all.2 points

Haven't read most of the posts but having been at that shithouse and witnessed a crap game can understand why we don't get the big bucks England do. Our Hall of Fame inductee did not show anything as to why, indeed his pass straight to one of them showed how ineffective he is and led to the second goal,ok he scored that free kick last week, and how bad his leadership is. Only when Jack and the other subs ame on offered us any hope. IMHO we were not beaten by a superior but by ourselves as the effort of some went unrewarded, especially Kent first half, and the medioctery of others Lundstram and KAMARA especially. Don't think I will go back to that hovel of a ground due to the absolute difficulty of travel, and I don't stay out of town, and nothing to do with result.2 points

Tillman is young and it showed today that he isn’t the finished article, he seemed so pumped up that he lost his composure. However, it doesn’t change my opinion of him, we need to sign him up.2 points
-
Tillman is capable of being a game changer ,it was deflating today to see him underperform . Also disappointing to see Barisic' basic ball control completely desert him in front of goal ,you get chances like that you've got to take them. I'd have taken a punt on Arfield at some point in the second half, he knows the fixture, would've mixed things up a bit, and is no stranger to scoring off the bench.2 points
-
The simple truth is some of our players have spots that cannot be changed. We've seen this same lackadaisical approach under three different managers now and except in dire emergency they should be nowhere near the starting lineup. I don't have to name them, we all know who they are and so should our manager.2 points

Years ago we binned two great player tomorrow we should bin Kamara and Lundstrum and the board or whoever’s responsible should be looking for a coach who can take whatever is left into next season the present manager is not the answer a poor appointment.2 points

This result is down to MB, he picked the wrong team IMO, he said he wanted starters in the squad, not squad players, Raskin & Cantwell should have started.2 points

I agree that you start your best team and replace during game, not the other way round.2 points

100% Raskin needed to start. Lundstram and Kamara was maddening. Both miles off it2 points

Taking off Morelos at half time would have made sense, but when he did, it was a strange move to make. Kamara and Lundstram were beyond awful though.2 points

Ahh well...outplayed...the better team won today. On to the next.2 points

Maybe he could coach the rest of them, who, mostly, stand and wait for the pass to arrive, allowing the opposition to nick the ball, run up the park, and score,2 points

I think we're just too one-dimensional. Morelos is too easy to defend against unless we has someone much closer to him and neither Kent or Sakala have managed to get there often enough and, when they have, the final ball is poor. But we're losing the midfield battle. Raskin has to come on and allow us to get into this. Only then can we create the chance we'll need to get back into this.2 points

Kamara and Lundstram instead of Jack and Raskin? Beale must know something we don't.2 points

Let’s do this Rangers. Battle fever on! These games usually are won by the hungrier team, or a moment of brilliance/stupidity. Would really love to put that pompous arrogant Ange back in his cage today.2 points

Gutted ! MB got it bigtime wrong today. There are few players who consistantly let us down, but right from the team sheet we were in soapy. Gutted !1 point

It's ridiculous and strangely petulant thing to say. If they're not a good side then what does that make us?1 point

Or, you contain until they tire, then blitz them. Somewhat like what we did at Ibrox. Hindsight is 20/20.1 point

This is very sad. Not that long ago it seemed they were almost automatic choices.1 point

Set up not to concede and we're doing OK until last 5mins of 1st half. Switched off and allowed them to walk the ball into the net. Worrying thing is we've offered nothing going forward. A lot of fans around me resigned to losing that goal and probably the game Need a huge improvement 2nd half1 point

I see the BBC are up to their usual mischief making. In the homepage there is a photo of one manager to promote the final (guess who?). This is followed by a rather misleading headline. If Celtic were playing Kilmarnock, I could possibly see the reasoning but if Rangers beat the Tims in a cup final will anybody really be "stunned"?1 point
