I get what your saying Bill, but I'm in the "once a Ger always a Ger" camp, and for that reason I'm thrilled that Arteta who didn't even stay at Ibrox too long may win the EPL. I want our old players to do well wherever they go, except when they come back as opposition of coarse. The downside to that for me was how hertbreaking it was when Gio got the spanish archer, being an old Ger from my favourite team.

There are a few exceptions that prove the rule. Btw, Candeias isn’t one of them. 😁

I can't get overly excited about Morelos' future. If he leave it will be like every other 'favourite' before him - the next day we will have forgotten his name and moved on to the next hero. Very, very few survive their departure long enough to be genuinely missed.

Loved that assist from Cantwell today. He’s exactly the kind of player we’ve been missing, a joy to watch. Tillman such a big player for us too, the combination of creativity and goal scoring is something we haven’t had in that position.

Yilmaz is a player. If he can settle in Glasgow, he will do ok.

I don't get attached to players when they're here, never mind when they sod off elsewhere. It's a team game.

I agree Bill but I also think we won't perhaps appreciate what we have until he goes.

Five and a half years Alfredo's been with us now, and for at least four of those years there's been discussion about him moving away to another club. I think sometimes a player is the right fit for a club, and vice versa , that's not to say he won't get a move, but i think it may take that move for him to realise that he's already in the best place.

Not a memorable performance but it's not easy to play attractive football when the opposition set up so defensively (I don't blame them though). Raskin looked up for it and Cantwell is showing some real promise.

Did we have too many creative players on the park ? It didn't turn into the creating of many chances. As I said during the game, this is still a work-in-progress,....that needs the summer transfer window and a pre-season to bed in. Beale was never likely to make a sensational start with the squad he inherited but there has been progress and he has won the confidence of most of the support. League Cup Final is shaping up to be more important then the norm. Real positive for me is Raskin. He looks like a dynamic type, who can carry the ball and has the technical ability to do somthing useful with it.

Was at game todayand :- 1) Referee worst yet this season absolutely pathetic. 2) Yet another bus parking team(most of (game). 3) A few solid displays Tillman,Cantwell Goldson/Davies.Sakala and in some ways Morelos.* 4) Keeper problem deepening although he had one good save. 5) Full backs need rested. 6) Finally, today the absolutely ridiculous flagging for off-side rule resulted in an injury due to late flag.This was always going to happen and unfotunately for Lundstram he was the victim. * Did not include late subs.

This is a discussion about Alfredo, let the arguments stand. If others can punch a hole in the argument provided, let it stand. Such discussion makes us ALL stronger. Alfie has had it hard here in Scotland. Just go on the court convictions for launching coins, bottles, spitting, coffee cups, ..... etc at him at Fir Park, Easter Road, Love Street; then the banners at Pitoddrie in Spanish proclaiming his Mother to be a mattress, ra Sellik fans wanting him prosecuted for driving away from a planned ambush in a Glasgow underground car park, the hatred of PQ because he was precocious, .......... etc. He is the best striker we have had since McCoist and, he was THE best ie 357 career goals for Rangers. Boyd has impressive stats but, he failed in Europe and Walter did not trust him against ra Sellik, I believe he notched one goal. Alfie has doubled the total against ra green'n'grey hooped horrors and, collected 28 European goals, our all time best Euro scorer. It's akin to those old soul songs, you never missed your water 'till it's gone. The very fact Alfie fcuked with Michael Stewart's head for two years and BBC Scotland gave him all the rope. Irvine Welsh wanted him cut to pieces with a machette and, fed to seagulls and, he ran past Scott Brown and slapped him on the back of his napper .......... Ah, you gotta luv him?

Time to be shot down I suppose but:- Smith-----Gasgoine Beale-----Morelos Obviously quality differs but point is where a Manager can get best out of a player for whatever reason.

And that's a poor argument as well as you (nor me) are in any position to offer Alfie ANY deal, never mind one "loaded" with incentives. Nor are we in a position to decide if he stays or goes. The bottom line is MB likes him, seems to get the best out of him and from what I've heard in press conferences, would like him to stay. Whether he stays (no matter what the deal) or goes, we'll just have to live with it.

Poor argument really, it's nothing to do with his fee or 'rangers fans being rangers fans', it's looking at him and asking whether he is reliable enough to give a new contract to. For me, certainly not as a top earner anyway, and whatever contract we did give would have to be loaded with incentives rather than a high salary.

Good luck replacing him for £1M - thats what we paid for him. He is a "package" and I think, and this is important in any discussion we have about any player, MB, understands and relies on what Alfie brings to the team and get the impression he is keen to keep Alfie. As for being unreliable, his longest absence from the team came when our former manager played Alfie when he was clearly injured leading to long lay off and argueably cost us the Europa League. However Rangers fans being Rangers fans, we wouldn't be happy if Haaland was playing up front for us.

He's done not to bad for someone who's been lazy, overweight and miserable for 50% of his time here. He is now our all time leading scorer in Europe, has passed Kris Boyds goal tally for his 1st stint at Rangers and has rag-dolled defenders all across Europe and on his day he is unplayable. He was ran into the ground by Gio who must have been the only person in Scotland who couldn't see where that was heading. I know it's if and / or buts, but if he was fit at the end of last season, we would have won the EL. The media in Scotland have painted him as the villain, away fans detest him and have racially abused him on more than one occasion. Alfie is Alfie - you need to take him as package and its no coincidence that Beale seems to get the best out of him in both his stints at Rangers. Long may that continue as he fits Beales style dar more than Colak (who I rate) ever will.

Eric Caldow was 5' 8" That's all the proof anyone needs that lack of height doesn't restrict a fullback. Ridvan Yilmaz is 5' 9"

My father was very friendly with the great man , he used to stay at our house in Tarbert , Loch fyne , for years he visited us and his stories were amazing . This question about the strip was asked numerous times and always he had the same answer , he had over the years sold dozens of these strips claiming it was the one he wore , I feel so sorry for so many people who bought them. In the end he was a really sad character .
